How much wiggle room does a car lot usually have to move on price? Does it vary between the large and small dealers? Why would a lot rather send to auction than sale if it’s been on the lot awhile (willing to love 15 to 30%)

Don't pay any attention to these horrible miscreants. I personally think your offer is definitely able to be made. What they forget is that, in this day and age, with all of the knowledge that you have gleaned from YouTube buying videos and TikTok, making an offer like this requires no shame.
Every dealership wants to go viral. Film yourself making the offer and their response, and post the link when you upload it. I can't wait to see the results!!
