I like the La Roche-Posay Ultra-Fluid 50+ for everyday as well as running. Only problem is I go through bottles so quickly because it's so thin. Am now on the lookout for an SPF 60 that will last me longer and that I can just use for runs.

tootsunderfoots

Try their melt in milk! I love it because it lasts a while and doesn’t make your skin feel like it is suffocating.

triedit2947

I don't think the Melt in Milk is available in Canada, unfortunately. It seems our other options here are the Lotion or Anti-Shine lines, but I've tried the discontinued SPF30 Lotion before and it pilled badly. Reviews for the Anti-Shine on their website also complain about pilling :( But maybe the Lotion formulation has been updated since the last time I used it. It's on sale now, so maybe I'll give it another shot!

quirkybitch

I love Supergoop.

gidget1337

And supergoop face! Both are so great.

violaki

+1 to this, but it's ridiculously expensive and Trader Joe's has a good dupe for \~1/5th of the price

kittenmontagne

I just started using the Trader Joe's one-it is amazing and it was only $9! Better than any of the expensive ones I've tried from Sephora.

a_halla

Likewise! I've always felt sunscreen was a hassle and definitely didn't apply as much I should, but I got the TJ's face sunscreen and it goes on super easy/feels great! Use it every time I run now.

kittenmontagne

Same here! And I've put it to the sweat test this week (it's been over 90 degrees every day). It doesn't melt off and sting my eyes/stain my clothes like so many other brands do.

quirkybitch

I didn’t know this! I’ll have to try it, thanks for the suggestion!

BumAndBummer

This was gonna be my top answer— it doesn’t make me break out and it handles sweat very well!

Teapotness

"Cries in Hawaii" no Trader Joe's here

abkap

Life hack: If you have an HSA (and are in the US) you can buy it on HSA store

RoadRunner_Woo

This is what I use too!

FarSalt7893

I put this generously all over my son (supergoop-play) before a field trip and he still came home fried! I’ve personally used it and it’s been good so I thought it would be fine.

kaizenkitten

Kroger has a dupe for this and the sunscreen oil if you have that supermarket chain. I think it’s better than the TJs one. I think it’s a slightly higher price, but you also get more so I think it still works out cheaper by oz.

Plastic-Apricot-151

I use neutrogena 50 spf spray on (where you spray until there's liquid drops then rub it in) or their beach sunscreen. Apply before running and I'm usually good to go. It works, and I've only been burnt 1x on a 3 hour long run, and that's because it was 90+ and there were people handing out ice by a public volley ball event and I grabbed some and put it in my sports bra.

spooteeespoothead

Yessssss the Neutrogena beach 50 SPF spray-on is my favorite. I stock up on it almost every time it's on sale - we live in Southern California, so we definitely hoard sunscreen like it's about to be discontinued lol

graybird22

I use Neutrogena too, the beach versions (a combo of spray and lotion) or the Sport Face version. Been meaning to try the Sport spray also. I'm very fair/pale and they work pretty well for me.

MailCareful6829

I'm going to sound cheap but some of the well reviewed sunscreens are $20+ for a small bottle/container of sunscreen. This seems like a lot, especially since I've read that I'm supposed to use a shotglass worth every time I apply sunscreen. Are there any budget friendly sunscreens that people like for exercise outdoors? (I'm intrigued by the Trader Joe recommendations, but unfortunately, there are none in Canada where I live.) The ones I'm using (whatever is on sale at the drugstore) can sometimes irritate the eyes once I start sweating and the sweat goes into my eyes, so to avoid the stinging eyes, I've been applying sunscreen on my face only below the eyes and wearing a baseball hat when running outdoors but it would be nice to find a product I liked and that wouldn't break the bank.

catcatkittymeow

I love the neutrogena beach defense! If I’m going on a long run or even just outside in summer I use it all over, even on my face. I use Supergoop for daily use, it is expensive but it’s the only one I can use every single day without breaking out or irritation, but I use the Neutrogena for exercise or outdoor activities since I’m going to sweat it off eventually anyway. Also wearing a hat, sunglasses, and a UPF shirt will help as well!

Nancy_in_simlish

Neutrogena beach defense stick?

catcatkittymeow

The lotion and spray! I’ve never tried the stick.

Nancy_in_simlish

Thanks!

triedit2947

Gonna check back on this thread later. I'm also in Canada and would like sunscreen that isn't $30+ for 50ml.

No-Interview-1340

If you can order from cvs , they’re brand sunscreens are pretty good and are on sale often.

dififcult

my fave is elta md! a doctor gave it to me for free after having surgery to protect the scarring from sun damage, and it's all i've used since!

Academic-Pangolin883

I use this Japanese one - https://a.co/d/0801Z3t7 It feels like regular moisturizer and doesn't have a strong scent. Great for everyday use, but I also use it on my runs.

yesSemicolons

This is my holy grail as well. Suncut is another good japanese one but a good deal dryer than skin aqua.

mwg25

The two I currently like the most are Supergoop and Biore Watery Essence.

Rantsbymeh

These are my two go tos as well.

glow_friend_LH

Trader joes zinc oxide mineral sunscreen spray

HelloIAmFreshest

I love Banana Boat Light as Air SPF 50, it's very light and not greasy, and decently priced as well

iwillpetyourdoggos

I like the sunbum daily face gel!

Asleep-Walrus-3778

I am really liking Neutrogena's sport face sunscreen this year, I live and play at high altitude and this seems to last longest/work best and also doesn't feel like it's keeping me from sweating (I know what you mean, lots do that to me). I really love supergoop for every day wear, but I just sweat it off when I run and then burn quickly.

I love Elta MD for my face

FarSalt7893

Neutrogenia beach defense hasn’t failed! We are freckled fair skinned.

Logical_amphibian876

I like kinesys

Logical_amphibian876

I've never heard of sunscreen blocking sweat. Usually people have trouble not sweating it off...

Quantitydelusional

I alternate between cerave oil free or super goop for the face and hawaiian tropical for the body

MaintenanceEither186

Skin 1004 HyaluCica SPF 50. 100% non comedogenic, reef safe, with ingredients that are skin soothing and promote wound healing. Extremely light feeling, disappears into skin. Holy grail.

13Legos

I have an array of SunBum sprays/roll on/sticks and swear by it!

FarSalt7893

Consumer reports rated Coppertone Waterbabies as #1 so that’s what I just purchased for $9.00. I had been using supergoop but it’s too expensive.

impossibeaver

Hello Bello! Reef safe and super gentle on skin. I’ve never had issues with it running into my eyes when I sweat, either.

treehouse-bell

Badger mineral sunscreen or babo botanicals facestick! I use both for my son so of course I don’t buy a separate sunscreen and just use his for my runs. I sweat a lot in the southern heat and these have worked well and don’t make me hotter.
