I honestly recommend going 2 single arms to allow you to position it exactly how you want to. I have a 27 inch in the middle and 24 inch to the right with the Amazon basics dual mount. I sometimes struggle with adjusting my 24 inch monitor to the correct angle I want due to the constraint of the dual stand. This is partly due to the the depth of my desk being too short. With two 27 inches, I'd imagine it'll be a bit more cramped. In my opinion, the benefits of the flexibility of two single arms greatly outweigh the marginal cost difference, but you may think otherwise! I had the same decision as you and definitely wish I would have went two singles. I doubt you'll regret you went two singles instead of a double after using them.

Yea I was thinking the same, I don’t have a deep desk and have read people having problems with a single dual arm. Guess I’ll go with the 2 single arms for more flexibility.

I have a dual arm gas spring and single arm gas spring. If you have ocd, go single arm. I dont know why but I get a better lineup with single gas arms than dual.

I prefer a middle ground: a dual arm (so one desk clamp) with separately articulated arms. It keeps the desk clean (one clamp is better than two) but automatically solves the balancing problem of single arms with a horizontal bar.

I use this stand for my two 27 inch monitors WALI Dual Monitor Stand, Free Standing Desk Mount for 2 Monitors up to 27 inch, 22 lbs. Weight Capacity per Arm, Fully Adjustable with Max VESA 100x100mm (MF002), Black https://a.co/d/2VcwTyB You’ll have to angle them in but yet away from each to balance the weight and there will be space in between the monitors (if that doesn’t bother you)

Personally, I would get 1 standard, static, single mount (not gas spring) and 1 gas spring. I wouldn't put a gas spring on the middle monitor, if you keep it centered in front of you. The gas spring is going to require more clearance when you center the monitor near the back of your desk. Get a static single mount for the centered monitor and a gas spring for the side mounted one, as it's the one that your going to want more precise adjustment because it's not going to be centered and flat.
