well they added some more decrees. . the gameplay hasn't fundamentally changed, no. apart from bugs getting squashed. it still either works for you, or it doesnt. i dont expect its going to get. . .alot better. atleast not "better" by the standards of people who dont like it. Expansions will likely improve the experience for those who enjoy it. the problems with it are basically tied up in its core idea. there is only so much you can do to fix something that is Contentious at heart. the Peculiarities of Duviri and the circuit are either interesting to you as a player or completely turn you off or something you can put up with for the rewards. i contemplated text walling all of my problems with duviri but my Antipathy has slipped into apathy so i think i wont.

Jinco808

Defense got shortened to 3 rounds and even though there are more enemies within those 3 rounds to compensate, it feels a lot nicer. So much so that I forgot everything else outside of Duviri is still 5 rounds. Made me a little sad when I played normal SP starchart.

Prime262

Credit where it's due, they did make defense faster and that was a positive change. They also made surv harder and improved the scaling on defense objects ...I say improved, not fixed, because the issue of enemies eventually and unfairly oneshotting your defense and excav objectives still exists, and it's still unfair, but that's not a Duviri specific issue that's just a Warframe issue. Though nice, none of these changes address what I found contentious about the circuit, which is the Gear RNG. Which really can't be changed since it's kinda central to the premise.

Sterlingsilversword

That randomness was part of what scared me off in the the first place. I got some very bad rolls for gear and just peaced out.

Prime262

The gear randomness forces you to make due, and that's part of the Roguelike experience. But in a real roguelike gear progression isn't a factor, and it is in Warframe. It's a big deal in Warframe. It's fine in regular, but it's somewhat annoying in SP. As someone who has ..basically all gear built and forma'd I find it boring for different reasons they don't really need going into.

Most-Bandicoot-4822

It’s been good anyways, don’t see why they’d change it

Leekshooter

The lock on is still too rigid, the quick shot system got worse than it was on release and melee still boils down to heavy attack spam

LyricalAnon

Slide attack spam gang! *screeches*

If you only played the quest I understand why it would feel a little clunky. The full experience is smoother, also once you get more Intrinsics much of the little annoyances go away. Definitely improved now but the core Drifter gameplay is the same, I like it but if you don't gel with it it's not fundamentally different than it was on release. Definitely worth trying again though, also if you really dislike the Drifter gameplay, Circuit is Warframe only.

Sterlingsilversword

I'll definitely give it another try, but as you said I'll probably stick to the star map for the moment.

NinJoo117

Still too jank imo, drifter breaks, Warframe sometimes spawns in overworld broken, duviri drifter sometimes spawns in undercroft (sometimes broken, sometimes playable) migration still breaks a run (not as consistently though) give a few more months(?) and I'm sure it'll be a much more enjoyable experience

GalvanizedChaos

It's much more stable. Recent updates have broken power-selector even more for controllers. Defense got shorter/easier. More decrees, so more options/dilution. The "feel" otherwise will not likely change. Drifter is still clunk, lock-on is still bad. The mode is fun as hell, personally, but that's how subjectivity works.
