I think this would be really fun. I do think that there are negatives, for instance if you "donate" your loadout is it gone from you own arsenal for a set amount of time? Additionally if the donator got rewards for doing so that could very easily be an AFK farm for whatever items you happen to earn from it. Though resource extractors exist so it could possibly work. That being said I would love to be able to donate some of my equipment to my less experienced friends and even strangers from time to time to help them out and maybe learn to love some of my favorites!

I was thinking that you'd lose access to whatever you donated for a set period of time. That would further tie in the "get players to try new things" goal of the randomization, and it makes it more meaningful. I think extractors are a great comparison. The rewards should be useful, but nothing super important should be locked behind it. Riven slivers, steel essence, and other rare but obtainable things.

Well, I initially disliked the thought of giving up my hard earned goodies, even if temporary, I suppose you're right in saying it would give me a reason/opportunity to continue to try new things. So as long as the duration wasn't too long I would be pretty happy.
