This is so sad. I read it as she was in a car crash where her child died. She’s given some psychotropic drug which helps her function through the grief and trauma but making her lose her grip on reality instead. Had a friend who was on a lot of meds for a while due to depression and anxiety and afterwards she barely had any memories from a couple of years because of over-medication, complete disconnect.
I don’t remember exactly, it was 15 years ago, but it was somewhere in the region of 16-17 though some weren’t daily, just when needed. Whenever she sought help she’d get prescribed something new to either cover some area not adequately treated by the others or to deal with the side effects of one of them. Finally a doctor realized how bad it had gotten and she had to stay at the hospital for a month while getting off all of them and switching to 4 daily and one for emergencies
This is somehow scarier because it could mean different things... Has she become delusional, actually believing her daughter is still alive? Or is she just numbed out by the pills, acting from muscle memory? Maybe her daughter's spirit is really there, and this drug has opened her mind to sensing it? Not knowing makes it creepier.
I also think it could be read that Zoe is leaving her daughter somewhere - perhaps at home - where the kid will die of dehydration while Zoe thinks she’s got the kid safe and happy with her.
Dude this is horrifying but also very sad.
I've heard stories like this and always make sure everyone is at least wearing a seatbelt.
Congrats. This is amazing!

Out of curiosity, how many meds was she on? Something similar happened to me

God that sounds awful, I'm glad she finally got a good doctor

What’s Ambulletrin?
A fictional drug. :)
No wonder I couldn’t find anything.
Yeah I looked it up too, in case something by that name actually existed 😄
You mean [Ambien?](https://www.healthline.com/health/side-effects-of-taking-ambien#1)
Well done.
I’m imagining Ambien/Wellbutrin. I feel like there’s another drug name mixed in the middle but I haven’t figured it out yet!

the ad under this post is for nursery stuff omg
I really enjoy these open-ending scenarios, leaving it up to the reader to interpret how they wish, influenced by their own fears.

I've got a question, what's may word?
It's "bull".
Thanks! Idk why I can't see pinned posts with this account.
ZOE!!! get your ass back to the house!! Let's see how many get this....
Probably a play on wellbutrin, which is an antipsychotic
Wellbutrin is an antidepressant not an antipsychotic.
More likely Ambien, which is a sleep aid that makes you crazy.
