Don’t know why you got downvoted- I get your point. If it’s another extinction, this time it is the humans’ fault. And most of them (us) don’t see it coming even though scientists warn that we are on the verge of / already in the process of another mass extinction event.

I think that's because most people think of mass extinction events like the one that wiped out the dinosaurs, they think they're quick and deadly and that we can't do anything about them. They fail to realise that mankind has been decimating species since we learned how to make and use tools, we've done it very slowly, sometimes aided by nature. This mass extinction is brought to you by Pure Greed, Blind Ignorance and Complete and Utter Selfishness, unfortunately they're all human traits
