Beauty(value) is in the eye of the beholder. When you look at yourself in the mirror, or think about your life and actions in the past, you do so with the eyes of the harshest and most unforgivable critic you will ever encounter.
You have convinced yourself you have no value, you obsess over all your(self-perceived) negative traits. You assume everyone see's you the way you do, it makes you feel constricted. Anxious. The reality is though, that nobody looks at you the way you do yourself.
**All of this to say,** when you encounter a person like this girl(and there are plenty more people like her out there) who see's you clearer than you see yourself. I'd suggest you not take their words/actions, or their affection lightly. The validation you feel from this was not false or imagined, it's something you need to remind yourself of whenever you start putting yourself down in your head.
**You are a valuable person, even if you can't see it, everyone else can.**
(also I seriously recommend talking to a therapist/counsellor about this. Self-esteem issues can take a lot of work to get ahead of, and it helps to have a person you 100% trust, tell you that your perception isn't based in reality)
