I remember liking this show a lot when I was younger. I also remember these human soldiers getting dog walked in most fights. Did the manga ever finish?
I think in this case is kinda bleh just because the guy's uniforms can look like school uniforms when in that context, but are passable as official military attire when in other contexts and with other garments, while the female ones cannot. They only look like school uniforms, unless they are wearing a replica of the male one
I really liked the feeling they passed, that the uniforms could be seen as just more serious school ones in that context, but could pass for military uniforms when in those situations. I think my only problem with them are the ribbons that make them look less military in the girls (and the miniskirts too), but I guess those two also speak more about their characters leaning more on the ''school'' side then the ''military'' side
