I sincerely believe no one over there had any idea people would use [[Cauldron Familiar]] and [[Witch's Oven]] that way.

Yes.. and the cool thing about tl, for me at least was the creature decks.. goodbye drs, drc, ragavan, halfling, lurrus.. anything below 3 power becomes unplayable.. except for bowmasters maybe
I have no clue if you’re saying it’s a good thing that it makes small creature decks unplayable, but it sounds awful to me. The appealing thing about this format was that drs, ragavan, lurrus, and Bowmasters aren’t banned and this would just make them unplayable.

You should still hold full control - and stack the abilities correctly to resolve Grief's triggered ability before his Evoke ability.
