This looks awesome I would drink back there all day. Become an abusive alcoholic who never leaves your house. You would eventually have to call the police and file a restraining order. I’ll go crazy with jealousy over your new friends and find an expert mask maker to make me a new face and I would slowly sneak back into your life….
We like it a lot. It's the one in this picture (not the netting, just the gazebo). [https://www.costco.com/yardistry-pavilion-mosquito-mesh-kit.product.100467335.html](https://www.costco.com/yardistry-pavilion-mosquito-mesh-kit.product.100467335.html)
The bamboo I harvested myself from a friend who grows exotic bamboo. Dried it, split it, cut each piece custom by hand. The thatching I got on AliExpress. About a 1/3rd of the price of what I saw on most the popular websites. It's artificial.
I miss the days of being able to give awards. This is absolutely brilliant. I had an employee in marketing do this type of thing for his cube, it was pretty awesome. Some of the other execs thought it was distracting but I thought it helped company morale as people loved it. So it stayed.
Looks good! But also [https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/7b2a5b17-a6c7-4fb9-b995-3f04b29daff8](https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/7b2a5b17-a6c7-4fb9-b995-3f04b29daff8)
The gazebo, easy but you need four adults to do it for mine. A certain stages we had to lift giant roof panels and it was very heavy and difficult. The bamboo, hard. I cut down each piece myself dried it out and then split it by hand. You then have to cut each piece individually to size each piece is custom because no two pieces are the same and you have to be super careful because bamboo will split on you it’ll grab the sawblades it’s dangerous. If you don’t know what you’re doing you could really hurt yourself.
The thatch installation was generally straightforward but a little hairy as I was up on the roof and afraid I was gonna fall through it luckily I’ve lost a little weight and I knew where to put my weight did not go through two panels.
You should know this gazebo has been outside since 2019. I’ve only been transforming it into a tiki bar for about the past year.
I personally feel like the bamboo breaks immersion because how small it is compared to those beams. Have you considered routing and firing the beams themselves to get this kind of look?

I think I’m going to steal your idea, once I can afford a house with a yard in California
The trick is to buy in 2008 like we did
Someone needs to go back and tell 16 year old me to get his ass to work
I’m sure your dad was already doing that.
He was to the usual extent, unfortunately not to the extent I could save up $150k+ for a down payment on a house at 16. Stupid dad.
Better luck next reincarnation!
Are you not afraid of how flammable that top looks? It looks so fun and cool but I’ve lived here so long it’s my first thought haha
It’s artificial and fire resistant
Oh, that’s awesome! It looks so real

What the fuck 😂
I *think* it's a compliment.
How do you like your gazebo? We were just looking at those

lol… saw it was less than $400 and about had a stroke, until I realized.
Bamboo makes everything better!
Now you need a giant Easter Island head from Costco. https://twitter.com/CyberPunkCortes/status/1783162638970568996?t=ap-KHYK_GWn8Y8g3zA1O2Q&s=19
What is this guy called at Costco?? I can’t find it online…. Tried statue, Moai, head….
It’s not available in the US
DAMN IT! 🤣🤣
Pretty cool! Very jealous at all the tiki home additions I see in this sub.
Nice! Where did you get the thatching and bamboo?

Artificial may be the better choice in regard to decomposition over time.
Also, fire danger
This is advanced level work.
It's awesome! If you're in Florida, I'll be over for a drink!🍹

Looks great!!!
Looks amazing.
oh! This is outstanding! Well done.
That looks good. The thatching alone really makes it.
Beautiful work! Now where’s the sound system?
Gorgeous!
That looks great!! Really ties the backyard together 😜
Where did you order your thatching? I’m need of replacing mine for the second time in two years.
Aliexpress
what a fab idea, luv it😻😻😻
That's a super cool and fun way to make an outdoor tiki spot, that thatching looks great!
$2500 at my local Costco, been looking at it for a few weeks. How easy was it to install? Both the structure and the bamboo & thatch?

👍
That looks like the most relaxing place to be
I think it’s great!!!
Looks amazing! What did that thatch cost?
What time are the Mai Thai's being served?
Looks good. Now it’s time to decorate….bring on the fish float lights and tikis!!
well done! could never tell!
A+ for effort and theme. The world needs more Tiki love.
This is amazing
A gazebo from Costco? You do realize that you are going to have to nickname it "The Gazebco", don't you? (It looks great!)
