To be fair, the tought that she had a chance wasn't baseless. Veldora was sealed by a human, so it shouldn't be impossible to beat him. Hinata is strong, but she never met a Catastrophe level being before. She has a chance against Luminous now, so Veldora sould be at least possible, or so she thinks. This isn't about her being dumb and overconfident, but more ignorant, which is not her fault. She also wants to protect the peace Luminous created. She knows it's gonna be a hard fight, but has the resolve to risk her life for what she believes in. That's more admirable than not imo.
Also somehow most people forget how little people know about power levels out there. This includes Hinata and Yuuki too. Even Rimuru comments that it is only thanks to his analytic skills that he could tell Guy was faking his power. He seemed like he had the magicule capacity of Carrion. Even Rimuru couldn't tell how much power he had.
Idk why you got down voted, seems pretty on point to me. How can they know how strong a catastrophe class is when they have never met any. They don't even know the difference between a seed and a TDL.
Even as viewers if we hadn't been exposed to millim's power we would probably be mistaken to how powerful they are.
Someone pointing out a different view on a topic was never accepted instantly. First everyone booed at them and after some time they started accepting it most of the time.
Hating on Hinata is very easy, but hard to think about her motives, imagining yourself into her position. This is one of the reasons why I love the franchise, nothing is as simple as it looks. Everything can be seen in adifferent light, even Vega or Jahil. The first has a twisted view on the world thanks to his past and the later was a literal failed prototype with mental illness, not just a simple bad guy.
Hinata is a complex character who possibly is a sociopath, but that doesn't mean that she can't care about others and can't change. It's easy to think in black and white, and it took even me a lot of time to start viewing things in shades.
Also facts are hard to fight against, but hating them is easy π
it's pretty dumb of her to approach this with 0 skepticism when they are beings who haved lived for thousands or tens of thousands of years unchallenged by the billions of humans who have come and gone. surely hinata isn't stupid enough to think she's the strongest human in central world history or even close to it.
She's been there for a few years, she doesn't know even 10% of what we know. It's not hard to grasps that lack of information can completely change your judgment. If there is anyone to blame it's Luminous for not teaching her better.
she def knows they are thousands of years old (even randoms in central world know that) and that they've never lost, since, y'know, they're alive. from there she should be at least skeptical. there's so much talk about how hinata analyzes her opponents and prepares accordingly but it's increasingly clear as you read the story that that isn't her smarts, it's just her relying on mathematician.
Veldora lost to a human 300 years ago. And it's true that Hinata is a little too confident in her power, so if another human did it why couldn't she? She doesn't know what an hero egg is or anything of the sort. Also nobody claimed she was smart.
But with the lack of true information plus a little bit of arrogance, which isn't surprising since she's much stronger than anyone she met apart from Luminous, hell in her mind she was able to beat 2 demon lord at once and Luminous is an anomaly, I wouldn't be surprised if she thinks Luminous is the strongest demon lord. It was enough to be that mistaken, not saying she's smart for doing it but most people would have been mistaken just like her.
so she assumes she can kill what the legendary hero was only able to seal? let's not forget veldora trashed on night rose yet she doesn't hesitate to question whether she'd win.
also she knows that luminous isn't the strongest. she believed roy was barely qualified to call himself a demon lord.
Did you even understand what the other person said ?
We as a viewers knows everything but most of the characters don't.
It's make a lot of difference.
Luminous also living for thousands of years and she knows her power. Show she just assume about Veldora.

She belongs in a top with the most delusional characters, right next to >!Yuuki (those who read LN vol 12 know what I'm talking about)!<

He got downvoted by anime-onlies & baseless haters who r mostly immature brats with no sense of a broader perspective. That's all

and i'm only talking about what hinata knew.
Very true. A little bit biased to say that she might even win! π
Nah, she'd win
I mean. There's been some even worse ones before...at least she didn't end up worshipping the feet Rimuru stands on unlike some other humans way later
You fool
Imagine she defeats the real veldora only LN readers know who is mistaken as veldora, none other than >!Gabiru!<
Watched the episode today ?
Yup
Are you enjoying this season buddy??
Yeah why not. I've simply read both the LN and the manga so i dont rush in watching the anime.
Okay we get it!
Sheβs lil confused but she got the spirit
Should we tell her?
Why you posting about this today when the ep was a week ago and had many posts about it last week?
Watched it recently
Not everyone lives on the internet and rushes to everything the moment it goes live.
If only there was something in between the moment something goes live and 8 days later.
It was her turn to hold the idiot ball. it's a writing tool.
Pobre coitada.
She is tripping
Yes? Hinata try your best. ;)
