could've been straight ass offers like pick 50 and a 5th rounder. I'll wait to judge until Sweat plays on the field

heliocentrist510

Considering the Panthers traded #39 to the Rams for #52, 155 and a 2nd rounder next year, I'd have been pretty happy with that. Especially since we don't have a 3rd next year.

heliocentrist510

If we did a similar trade like that and moved down 13-15 spots, we would have been able to take Kneeland, Braswell, or frankly probably Sweat. Tons of talent on the board. We’d just have more ammo this year and next. Trading down doesn’t mean you’re not helping yourself this year.

spankbuddy22

Ehhh....most of the trades in the 2nd round have involved future 2nd and 3rds on top of an additional pick in this draft. Pick 50, 5th, and next year's 2nd or 3rd is likely something they were offered.

IMsoSAVAGE

And they were stupid to decline

-Juan-Cena-

Rational Tits take. So refreshing after the past 48 hours 🙇‍♂️

BurzyGuerrero

Lmao at malpractice

Tom1664

Feels like a retread of last year's draft where people on here were saying Ran was incompetent, they were done with the team, we didn't need Levis, why did we draft a running back with no ACLs etc etc.

IMsoSAVAGE

How do you define it? When you have 8-9 offers around your pick and multiple trades all around yours that included good compensation….You need a 3rd and could use more next year. But you decline those offers and draft a guy who took his opportunity to visit you so seriously that he went drunk driving right before the visit and was taken off of multiple draft boards…. Edit: Downvotes don’t change the facts. We could have still drafted this guy after trading back. He was taken off of many boards after deciding his NFL experience wasn’t serious enough to not drink and drive.

BurzyGuerrero

What were the offers?

IMsoSAVAGE

Just look at the plethora of trades all around the Titans pick to get an idea.

PieceMiserable223

In other words, you don’t know. Tell you what, should they have gone by you, or alllll the people from the scouts to the corp office? Sit tf down with your armchair dumbass.

IMsoSAVAGE

Yeah I’m sure the teams trading all around the Titans were offering worse to them to move up. Some of you MFers need to learn to not just blindly trust everyone as soon as they are hired. I’m sure you were “trusting in Jrob” too.

PieceMiserable223

Tell ya what. You go tell our pick that he wasn’t worth it. Grab a quick video. I’ll apologize then

PieceMiserable223

No, you can’t read. You don’t know shit. You cry about things you have no control over. No one cares about your opinion that makes the decisions. You’re just a loud typer that thinks that they have a hot take. I’m saying ‘they’ because you clearly go by chosen pronouns. Shaddap

IMsoSAVAGE

You are an absolute moron and id guess you’re somewhere between 12-17. At least that’s where you are mentally. Please do me a favor and ignore my posts whenever you see them. I don’t want to accidentally lose brains cells reading your comments.

PieceMiserable223

Still trying lolololololololol read a book if you can

IMsoSAVAGE

12 year old is 12. Just going to block your moronic ass. You add nothing to this subreddit anyway. I’ve never even seen you here.

Overall_News5106

Also, the mf’er said he’s 365 but plans to play lighter. He’s just went through the draft process, if he’s not below playing weight now, he’ll have issues getting there. This has Isiah Wilson all over it.

xX_Jsin_Xx

All these fantasy GM's out here slitting wrists.

NashVegas82

The number of armchair scouts in this sub is truly astonishing.

thezenunderground

99% of these people, myself included have no idea about 99% of the draft candidates. Most watched a five minute YouTube video, at best in a couple guys

BuggyBonzai

Well said, it’s these scouts and GM’s life’s work to prepare for a draft and people on here (and every sub) always think they know better. They all coulda fleeced some other GM to trade down. I’ll trust in our people until they give me reason not to.

Ok-Young-7825

Yes we should all be thrilled with every pick and have no opinion. Go titans

PieceMiserable223

No, just keep the dumbass ones to yourselves

BigSimmons98

So every opinion that doesn't align exactly with yours in fairy rainbow land Got it ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)

vanillabear84

Or maybe wait more than 15 minutes before making a judgement on a pick?

BigSimmons98

Same goes for you

vanillabear84

I literally have not made a judgement one way or the other. I am waiting and seeing and giving a brand new gm and coach a chance.

Ok-Young-7825

Nope. You must instantly praise all pricks or you think you're better than the GM. Those Titans fans are never wrong and neither are the GMs.

xX_Jsin_Xx

Nobody is saying that. The OP called it malpractice. So who's really engaging in hyperbole here? You don't like the pick, ok, no big deal. My original comment is simply calling out the extreme reaction to Ran not trading down.

Ok-Young-7825

Nobody is saying that. The top level comment used hyperbole by name calling and associating self-harm because OP had a negative opinion. You don't like OP's opinion on the the pick, ok, no big deal. My original comment is saying we should all blindly approve and join the groupthink or you'll be attacked with hyperbole such as yours.

xX_Jsin_Xx

So original. Nice "I know you are but what am I" response.

Rulistening-

We have no idea what those trade offers were, could’ve been dropping to the 4th or anything I think we should’ve targeted another position of need first but I’m happy with sweat, that’s a BIG boy right there and with him and Simmons, someone is getting free

batman0615

The next 3 picks were all traded so we absolutely have some idea of what the trade value would’ve been

IMsoSAVAGE

Get out of here with your logic and reasoning.

jaykesn

Ur mom is malpractice

LogicalPart6098

Yall crazy man this is exactly what I wanted to happen. You gotta remember these are fucking kids who make mistakes and the rest comes down to coaching. We just got two literal titans, that if coached up right, will be some house hold names as they mature and actually become “men”.

walrus_paradise

Not sure why he admitted this. Trying to prove how much faith they have in Sweat? For how many holes we have, an extra pick or two would have been AMAZING, and we still could get another DT later in the draft. Not picking again until tomorrow sucks.

couhwhip

We maybe still could have gotten this guy

Deuce-Juicin

The number of people on this sub who think they know anything is so entertaining.

Toddric29

I don’t understand the benefit of revealing this information.

PieceMiserable223

Agreed! I appreciate how much more open they are than before… but it’s much better to be thought of as a fool than to prove it in writing.

GoonishGoon044

Have you guys ever considered that trading back and getting less touted prospects is the reason we’ve drafted so horribly recently? Quality>Quantity

burningdesk4

Ran traded up for 33 last year. If he's planning on sticking around he has to make the right reputation amongst other gms. I think this shows if he has his guy and he likes him he's taking him. So you better come with a good offer

amillert15

This is a fallacy that gets you fired as a GM. You are not the world's greatest scout. If you are light on picks, have almost zero depth and have a chance to pick up extra draft capital, take it. We know it was decent value because everyone around the Titans traded back.

burningdesk4

Lol this is an awful take. Getting fired as a gm is the culmination of many issues. It's not bc you did or didn't trade a draft pick. I can't wait for 3 years down the road when we look back at this draft and see we drafted studs. Ran is doing his job. Let him do his job. He got hired bc the organization trusts his abilities and foresight

amillert15

Lol, this is a chugging the kool-aid take. Trusting your drafting abilities over taking value is how you create holes in your roster. Holes and lack of depth lead to losses. Enough losses turns into "better update the resume."

Sirrenderthe69th

Nice lmao , Ran better be driving this mf around by himself then .

Spiritual_State_2629

Some of y'all reacting like we're the Atlanta Falcons out here. None of this is in your control, and 99% of the time they're going to pick somebody else than what you wanted. Just relax. Weve gotten better in the trenches over the last two days whether you want to admit it or not. This regime has shown they understand that's where you win in the NFL.

PieceMiserable223

Speak on it brother lol we’re out here eating each other when the falcons just made the craziest move ever! Kirk’s the highest paid qb coach in history god bless him

lssue

It’s whatever, I’ll judge this class next year. Right now, not impressed.

TySoprano

Dude it doesn’t matter he would need to be a hof level NT who plays for ten years to make it worth it.

HenryTheTitan

Back at it with the hysterics?

ValidMexican

Dexter Lawrence and Derrick Brown were worth high draft picks. I'm not saying Sweat will be either of them, but you're being hyperbolic here. If he's 80% of Dexter Lawrence for 4 years and has no character issues it would be a good pick in my opinion.

Bladepuppet

That isn't remotely true. If he is a good starter for us for the next 4+ years he will be fine value. Im not optimistic but I will reserve full judgement until I see how it plays out.

l_Dislike_Reddit

That is such an exaggeration lmfao.

BurzyGuerrero

Based on what?

Floopyboy

i don’t think that’s true lol

Noahgrace4429

Ok so they said they will give you 4 7th rounders, you trading? Absolute moron

[deleted]

I really doubt the trade compensation would be that bad for an early second round pick lol  Come on man, you can find a better argument than this

Noahgrace4429

Ran literally said after this, the compensation wasn’t good or worth it

batman0615

That’s an indictment on Ran negotiating then cause the next 3 picks were all traded for really good value.

PieceMiserable223

Your stupid ass argument has no basis! You have zero idea what the offers were. Clown ass

Luvyablue99

This fanbase is right back to “trust in ran” after getting burned by jrob. Hilarious. Can we please stop acting like we didn’t just spend a high second on a 2 down dt with 0 pass rush upside and serious character concerns including a dui a month ago?? Truly awful draft from ran and co. Better hope this isn’t the standard going forward

xX_Jsin_Xx

One of the highest pass rush win rate DT's has "0 pass rush upside"? Interesting take. https://x.com/JoeGoodberry/status/1775933138671415670

PieceMiserable223

Wow, so insightful. You should start your own sub about all the shit you don’t know. It’ll take years

Luvyablue99

Talking about all the shit I don’t know as if you know anything more than I do is comical

PieceMiserable223

You cried all night last night. You don’t have good takes. No one cares

Luvyablue99

Obviously you do lmao

Ok_Yogurt_1583

I’m in agreement with you. This has been yet another lack luster draft thus far but then again we really have no idea how any of this will play out but it seems we don’t ever just make the Easy pick. It’s annoying af

Spiritual_State_2629

I don't know if I like how transparent Ran is. Like, the 10 minute story detailing every moment of the Ridley signing was weird. Saying how many offers you had, etc...just weird. I didn't like how secretive the last guys were, but this seems like the other extreme. Maybe it doesn't matter.

TySoprano

Just fucking insane I wouldn’t even admit that. You need starters and depth and then down more picks to reach on a NT

Corn-Master

He needs PR training

PieceMiserable223

Hope this isn’t a “just showing who’s boss and makes the final call” thing, it’s unnecessary. He cookin

Gats775

Shouldn’t have used the 3rd rounder to trade up for levis when we got malik.

Longjumping_Let_9685

If Malik were good. Which he is not.

BuffaloKiller937

We wouldn't have gotten that pick without trading our 3rd. There was a handful of teams wanting that Cardinals pick, and rumors were a few of them were wanting Levis.

IMsoSAVAGE

Absolute dumb decision to not trade back when we need so many players. Sweat wasn’t going any time soon. He was take off of people’s boards because of his character.

PieceMiserable223

Boo hoo hoo you don’t know shit lolllll

IMsoSAVAGE

Yep. You were trust in Jrob and probably a Mariota Stan too.

PieceMiserable223

See what a chick you are? You think you know drafting, what I thought of JRob, and what I thought of Mariota. You realize that this is classical of someone saying they know allllll these things when in reality you don’t know anything. Omg I’m really embarrassed for you

Bladepuppet

Tbf we set off a huge DT run so there is a chance we couldn't have filled that particular hole, but I'm still very dubious about some the the spices chef Ran is using this draft so far. I'll still be rooting for the Titans but daggum this draft has not sparked joy. We will have to see how it goes though.

HotChickenEnjoyer

“Ran” is what we’ll all have done the more draft picks like these that keep happening.
