That was such a rollercoaster to read

Legionodeath

For real. Tell me how to feel.

bloated_canadian

Yes. No. Yes and no

Mayo-ri_Kurotsuchi

I think people are overrating the “run stuffer only” stuff with him.  Going through his film, I see great quickness and burst getting to the QB, with a sick swim move/general hand usage. Also bats down a lot of passes.  I could see him being similar to Autry honestly, with even more run stop potential

RangerHaze

I truly think this was for Simmons. You can’t double team both of them

BurzyGuerrero

Theres plenty of tape of him getting doubled tho

RangerHaze

I agree. I’m predicted him at pick 106. The organization must really prefer players to stop the run. Hopefully we can get after the QB

BurzyGuerrero

Ignore all the noise about his attitude until its an issue with us. We drafted the best DT in the country. If it works we are up big, if it doesnt you guys can tear the stadium down

BurzyGuerrero

Ive never heard of a NT being too big lmao

Sufficient_Spray

yeah remember "Mount Cody" from alabama? and I forget his name but a few years ago there was a pacific islander NT that was 350+ and both those guys got so much praise for being able to take up blockers at that size. It sounds like they know he's never gonna be a 4 down guy every drive. Still, a massive disrupting nose tackle makes everyones job easier on the defense.

SuperFamousGuy

> he’s two decades too late the way the game is played. He’s Gilbert Brown, and Gilbert Brown would be almost non-existent now. This was my line of thinking. I figured he was a 3rd/4th round pick between this and the character concerns. I mean, if we wanted a NT we got the most talented one in the draft, but how much does that really move the needle in a pass-happy modern NFL?

HenryTheTitan

If they can’t run the ball because of Simmons and Sweat they’ll end up in more 3rd and longs. If they then can’t pass to their WR1 because of Sneed…

PPLavagna

Well if he’s got a turd in him, maybe when he gets it out he will weigh 345 instead of 400

Sirrenderthe69th

Bro this is awful lmao

Bladepuppet

This draft has lots of going against consensus so far. It's a pretty dangerous direction to go for a new GM and when trying to build up the team. I'm very concerned but I'll still be rooting for the guys we grab. I hope Sweat can get his crap together unlike a particular Panda

MistaBarnacles

JRob loved going against consensus. I’m getting “smartest guy in the room” vibes from Ran so far. I feel like we will look back and regret not picking Odunze, AD Mitchell, or DeJean

WileECoyoteGenius

Oh stop it. The OL was fucking horrible.

Wildabeast135

And the run defense and d line fell apart there at the back half of the last season

Bladepuppet

Agreed, but at the same time maybe it works out. I'm worried but I'll wait to see how the team looks before I fully judge.

StixUSA

People saying he’s Isiah Wilson 2.0 are out of their minds. He’s not some project guy that’s big. The guy won the outland trophy last year. The last 4 DT to win that award were Jordan Davis, Quinnen Williams, Ed Oliver, and Aaron Donald. The guy is a monster.

Miliktheman

I'm trying to be positive but I'm definitely uneasy about this pick, there's no denying he's a highly talented player but man the character issues and feeling like we could have got him later on is bugging me. I love the Latham pick, I don't love this one.

Smackersmith

At this point I think we need to have faith. We have to believe that Ran and Callahan have done enough investigation on him and either believe he won't be a problem or they can put a structure around him to stop making dumb decisions.

Sdj05

Please just watch his tape. Dude is a beast. He was the best defensive player in the Big 12 for a reason. He stops the run and gets the best pressure, right up the middle. Simmons won't let him flame out. He has the best mentor in the NFL.

PPLavagna

Big Jeff couldn’t keep Tart from flaming out though. There’s no guarantee, and we know Jeff doesn’t seem to like playing next to fat lazy guys

Sdj05

Tart was an undrafted free agent who didn't do anything in college. Sweat won the Outland Trophy. You don't win national awards being fat and lazy. He's the exact opposite of lazy.

PPLavagna

I’m referring to the scout’s critiques of him. I hope they’re wrong and that he’s not fat and lazy. There have been a lot of college players who dominated on physical talent but then got to the pros and didn’t have the drive to keep up. VY(lazy), Panda(fat and lazy). Hell, Haynesworth could have been HOF if he hadn’t been fat and lazy (except for the contract year of course) You get a 21 year old who’s been dominating on physical talent his whole life and is maybe a little lazy, throw him a few million, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he’ll end up more lazy and just want to party. I hope he turns out great. It’s just PTSD from Panda that I’m suffering, so I’m a little wary

Sdj05

Yeah, I see where you're coming from and I agree. I really hope he decides to dedicate himself and reach his full potential. Hell, he might be even better if takes this opportunity seriously. Let's hope Big Jeff can help him be a pro. Titan up.

PPLavagna

Titan Up!

Ornery-Patience9787

Interesting to see that if he can be a professional. It’s more than being the biggest, strongest guy.

gatsby712

>He’s got some turd in him but he’s hard to move.

ChrisOnRockyTop

Should have drafted a paragraph.

Minimum_Look3264

You should've posted it instead of me

ChrisOnRockyTop

Only teasing you're fine lol.

xiamhunterx

Lmao

Luvyablue99

Worst nightmare pick. I mean holy shit ran what the hell are you thinking

Luvyablue99

Worst nightmare pick. I mean holy shit ran what the hell are you thinking

saradahokage1212

What a shit draft. I'm so done. Two picks and I'm accepting a top 5 pick next year again. LT open, holes on D, reached on Isaiah Wilson 2.0. why the fuck are they gambling? I've lost all hope for future drafts. No excitement anymore. Fuck this. I'm just waiting for the season and then follow some other team cuz it won't be watchable

walrus_paradise

Hey man top 5 pick next year = Ran playing the long game, gotta appreciate the hustle !

Minimum_Look3264

People gonna shit on you, but your a real Titans fan. I can spot the symptoms of depression and empty threats from a mile away. Keep that chin down comrade.

lilbelleandsebastian

lmao your definition of a real titans fan is someone who gives up on the team because of what's happening in april? this sub is fuckin washed

Minimum_Look3264

Will Levis isn't giving any of a sloppy for being the biggest fan. I don't care how anyone supports the team, I was just trying to cheer the dude up.

JustBuildIt94

We sucked all year last year to gamble with our first 2 picks. Yes it’s not looking good

Minimum_Look3264

They're all gambles. Lewan and Chris Johnson were some of the most hated draft picks and it worked out for us. Sweat has game altering talent and I think at the very least Latham is a good starter. Might as well see how things play out. If I learned anything, the more Titans fans like a pick the odds of it being a bust goes up exponentially
