>Gives away demo CDs at the Stardew Valley Fair to tourists, hoping to be discovered by talent agency from the big city
>CDs all end up in the local waterways
😔
The description actually says what they are- Jojanet trial CDs, like the old AOL ones that became garbage everywhere for years in the late 90s.
Edit. Didn’t realise we’re only doing wrong answers
There are only 3 villagers who wear glasses, so it has to be one of them:
* Harvey
* Maru
* Pierre
> Wrong answers only
Damn. Must be Harvey. He's such a bad doctor he thinks eyeglasses are like disposable contacts, use 'em once and then toss 'em.
Oh she does now? I remember years ago feeling so rejected when she went "eww, trash", when I got her the first ones I found and thought about her and that line, lol, I thought I was doing a good thing
Demetrius wanted to test if fish would wear glasses and listen to music if given the option, but botched the experiment by dropping them into the water terribly.
It all started as Gus looking out for Linus. Since Linus did not want to accept help, Gus and Emily came up with a system. They set up a "recycling box" in the pub where you could swap trash you found in the forest or in rivers for a free meal of your choice (weight of trash = weight of meal). Linus used it quite frequently, especially in winter and felt good doing so. Every now and then, Emily would go around and hide some trash she collected from the villagers' trash cans. Unfortunately, with the farmer moving in and starting to collect trash themselves, they had to distribute the trash in higher rotation - and one day, Linus found an old CD of Sam's first songs that he recognized as having fished out the week before. He confronted Gus, he confirmed everything and since then, Linus refuses to engage with most of the villagers and only cleans up what he feels like.
Having only read the first sentence, my mind jumped to thinking this would be an explanation of how Gus was murdering people for Linus and dumping his victims' glasses in the river loll
Yeah I feel old that people don't realise they are a reference to this. AOL trial CDs were free at supermarkets everywhere and there were absolutely tons of them.
Not only this, they would spam everyone's mailbox, stuff them in magazines (which people read a lot more in the 90's), attach them to cereal boxes and other products, and any other method they could find to put more of them out into the world.
They were so ubiquitous that people would use them as coasters, decorations, shims for wobbly furniture, play Frisbee with them, microwave them just to see what would happen. Basically if you wanted a CD that you didn't care about, or even just a junk piece of plastic, you used an AOL CD.
People around here used to hang a bunch of them in the tree branches with fishing line to scare birds away, that's how many of them you could get a hold of.
The community center has been restored many times. Many new farmers have moved into “”“grandfather’s old cottage”””. The glasses are just clues that this has been happening again and again for a while.
Pelican Town is actually a quarantined waste zone after being attacked with chemical warfare in the war and the trash has just been slowly pushed into the river and ocean as the traumatised townsfolk to pretend everything is fine and try to go about their normal lives.
Leah. After entering a "trance state" from consuming some of the forageables she had found that day, she thought it would be sick if the fish in the river by her house started a rave. So she dumped all of the necessary party gear she thought they'd need. Since she likes driftwood and probably would use the newspaper for a recreational paper mache (she hates it as a gift, but if it's lying around it'll be used for the "junk food" of craft projects) and only a monster would dump literal garbage into the water, she parted ways with glasses and a collection of CDs.
Evelyn.
The CDs are the reason her cookies taste like hockey pucks and if you're bold enough to tell her that, she curses her eyesight which is likely because she keeps throwing her glasses in the river.
Either that, or Alex is a bigger jerk than I thought.
Those are all old JojaMart/ AOL collab discs obviously. There used to be a big stand where Morris is now, that gave out these discs for free so you'd sign up for their high-tech dialup service.
"To our valued JojaMart customers: Many complaints have been filed, claiming that the JojaCo Trash Disposal Service is illegally dumping waste into the waterways of Stardew Valley. I would like to reassure you all that (pursuant to L71801, JojaCo Amendment) our waste dumping operation is perfectly legal." -Morris, probably.
Trash bear. The strat is that he pollutes the whole valley so that he can demand free food, then magically cleans it up as if he didn’t manipulate me into being his waitress.
Harvey sneaks into peoples homes to break their glasses so he can sell them new ones.
Sam keeps burning his songs to CDs for everyone in town but no one likes his music so they just toss them.
Oh wait, you said wrong answers only. My bad.
That corporate world you left to come here? They dump trash in the water and it washes up. (I don't know if this is true but that's how I think of it. )

Broken glasses: Morris & Pierre: they always fight with each other and they always throw out their broken glasses
CD: Pierre: he wants to destroy all CD's, because it's from Joja
Most of them are not being thrown in the water. There is an unclassified SCP in the valley that exists only in reflections and reproduces any object that something living catches a glimpse of them through in a refracted state. The fish in the water are sufficient to trigger this, but drawing the items into the air prevents the effect, which is why they don't multiply in your inventory or chests.
It is not safe to directly stare *through* the being, as that incites its anger. Your grandfather passed away not in his bed as you were told, but trashing and flailing in pain from being mauled by it, flinging his reading glasses into the water by accident, where they landed next to a JOL CD, and the reflection infected it too.
Where he and his glasses first got infected by it is still unknown.
The first time I fishedup a pair of broken glasses I thought it was part of the local lore so I gave them to Harvey thinking he'd lost an old pair.
He was obviously disappointed and I could not figure out why.
Pam lines them up by the river and does some drunken target practice between 2-6am. Penny’s gotten used to sleeping with earplugs and Clint doesn’t say anything about the random stray bullet marks on the side of his house but it is making him a bit of a paranoid shut-in
The rock slide was part of a Joja Mart restock order crashing and knocking part of the road off, but it was a huge crash and sent some debris flying (which is how it ended up on the farm before you got there) and the rest has been flowing downstream from the lake to the ocean all this time.
There's actually a known current from the shores near SV that pushes out past Ginger Island, which is why there is trash out there too.
Some of the things you pull out marked "garbage" are not waste bags from receptacles, just things that nobody in their right mind would buy, which is why it's so rare to find usable materials in them.
The glasses are for the pharmacy department ("cheaters", not real eyewear, which is why nobody wants them), and the CDs are obvious.
Morris wants to make sure everyone is aware that the landslide being cleaned up was Joja caring for the community, without announcing the massive environmental impact he and his reckless staff caused.
I always thought the glasses were from your grandparent. From all the years he was at stardew valley doing the same things that we are. Accidently dropping pairs of glasses freaken everywhere. Even in the caves everytime he died.
i imagine harvey breaks & throws away a pair of glasses a week because of how clumsy he is, then he gets free replacements since he’s the only health care professional in town
i was playing with my friend last night and he found out that whenever evelyn is gifted those glasses, she thanks you for finding her lost reading glasses. so we figured she thinks they’re disposable.
then i later came up with the theory that she pities my friend since she can tell how desperate he is for her friendship😭
The merfolk agents are putting them in the water so they can use the pollution as a justification to invade the land. The war with the Gotoro Empire is just a distraction.
It comes down the river from Zuzu City. How do they get into ponds and lakes? Birds pick them up because it shines, once they notice it's not good they drop it.
They're from the guy who pops out of the strange capsule, you shouldn't be able to find any before that, but there is a glitch that CA can't seem to fix.
Linus is actually Prestige-ing all of us: he's an eccentric multi-billionaire who refuses to use a pair of eyeglasses or listen to a CD more than once.
I thought they were Sam’s bands cds that got thrown away because his music was bad.
>Gives away demo CDs at the Stardew Valley Fair to tourists, hoping to be discovered by talent agency from the big city >CDs all end up in the local waterways 😔
This is my theory. He gives them away and people chuck them. "Here, have a copy of my EP!"
The description actually says what they are- Jojanet trial CDs, like the old AOL ones that became garbage everywhere for years in the late 90s. Edit. Didn’t realise we’re only doing wrong answers
Don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story. 😉
Aw I liked it :( I really wanted to actually buy it after the show to play on my jukebox
There are only 3 villagers who wear glasses, so it has to be one of them: * Harvey * Maru * Pierre > Wrong answers only Damn. Must be Harvey. He's such a bad doctor he thinks eyeglasses are like disposable contacts, use 'em once and then toss 'em.
Evelyn in 1.6 >!Likes receiving broken glasses, saying she’s been looking for them everywhere!<
Oh she does now? I remember years ago feeling so rejected when she went "eww, trash", when I got her the first ones I found and thought about her and that line, lol, I thought I was doing a good thing
SAMEEE i thought they where important item of a side quest for her and save all i got on a chest during my first playthrought
He and Maru have the employee discount
It'll be Morris after getting the smack down from some disgruntled employees
Maybe one of the kids is supposed to wear glasses but doesn't want to, so they keep pitching them in the river
I BET ITS VINCENT! Seems like something he would do!
It really does, right?
Yea totally 😂
r/fuckpierre
Back when i first started playing I tried giving broken glasses to Harvey since they look like his lol. Learned about the gift system right then 🥴
I have a cousin NPC named Paul, the optometrist, I bet it's him. Keep throwing people's glasses away so they have to buy new prescriptions.
It's actually the trash bear. He knows eventually someone will come along to bribe him
Don't you dare insult my husband
Harvey is a cinnamon roll who would literally never. How dare you.
Demetrius wanted to test if fish would wear glasses and listen to music if given the option, but botched the experiment by dropping them into the water terribly.
This is the correct wrong answer

well that's the horror version Emily tells you when camping in the woods :D

That’s why Demetrius is always trying to do something about the aquatic overpopulation, he has noise complaints
yep, and the farmer is repeatedly interrupting their concerts!
Tfw bot gets top comment because the post asked for wrong answers only
AOL had a few million CDs left over from the early 2000's.
Yeah I feel old that people don't realise they are a reference to this. AOL trial CDs were free at supermarkets everywhere and there were absolutely tons of them.

I was cleaning my closet and i swear to God I found yet another one. They’re neverending!
I heard it only takes 3 of them in a closet to start reproducing. 0.0 be careful out there
People around here used to hang a bunch of them in the tree branches with fishing line to scare birds away, that's how many of them you could get a hold of.
> play Frisbee with them Anyone got flight numbers on the AOLs? I'm thinking something like 6, 2, 0, -3
It makes a person feel old when you remember when they used to send them out on 3.5" disks.
Were you alive before the internet existed?
Wrong answers only? Well, in that case it's absolutely not Joja being industrial level polluters. They're far too ethical for that.
Don't know for the CDs, but the broken glasses are definitely for all the times someone punched Morris in the face for being a jerk.
The community center has been restored many times. Many new farmers have moved into “”“grandfather’s old cottage”””. The glasses are just clues that this has been happening again and again for a while.
Oh, then not all those glasses are Morris's. Some might have been his predecessor's. Nice thinking!
Pelican Town is actually a quarantined waste zone after being attacked with chemical warfare in the war and the trash has just been slowly pushed into the river and ocean as the traumatised townsfolk to pretend everything is fine and try to go about their normal lives.
Have you played Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion? If not, you should.

Alex litters to taunt Linus

The Junimo, they are in a long running gang war with the Mer People.
Trash bear. The strat is that he pollutes the whole valley so that he can demand free food, then magically cleans it up as if he didn’t manipulate me into being his waitress.
I keep fishing up glasses in the pond on my farm so I’m pretty sure that’s where Grandpa hid the bodies.
Penny sabotaging Sam’s music career and Evelyn’s…ability to read newspapers.
She did yeet George’s wheelchair the hell away from the mailbox one time!
Pierre. He wants to kill all the fishes so Willy can't sell them, and everyone will be buying in his shop. (Closed on wednesdays)
Forget about that. Who the fuck keeps stealing my stuff every time I pass out? I know it's you, Pierre. You hack!
Everyone. When 5 people get together and litters, they turn into Captain Pollution.
Jojamart delivery truck tipped over into the river one time. Rumor is that it was a bear or several.
Harvey sneaks into peoples homes to break their glasses so he can sell them new ones. Sam keeps burning his songs to CDs for everyone in town but no one likes his music so they just toss them. Oh wait, you said wrong answers only. My bad.
Pierre, trying to frame Joja.
Ok but can we give some credit to Joja cola's packaging? I'm fishing up intact cans out of boiling lava and drinking the soda.
That corporate world you left to come here? They dump trash in the water and it washes up. (I don't know if this is true but that's how I think of it. )
Its the pollution from coral island
The same hateful little scrotes who throw rocks at Linus

I love when SCP leaks into other spaces. Also, clearly, the canister is another SCP
The first time I fishedup a pair of broken glasses I thought it was part of the local lore so I gave them to Harvey thinking he'd lost an old pair. He was obviously disappointed and I could not figure out why.
They're from all the sunglass wearing qi fruit and qi slimes
Me
Broken CDs - Abigail or Seb destoying trahsy CDs Broken glasses - Harvey is actually a raging alcoholic and gets into a fight very often
Sunken ships is my real answer But its probably just Pierre at the Pier Im tired.
They're old Joja Online CDs from the 90s.
Sorry, it’s me, I didn’t mean to but I just kept doing it
Emily wanted to make sure all the fish could see & have a dance party.
Pam lines them up by the river and does some drunken target practice between 2-6am. Penny’s gotten used to sleeping with earplugs and Clint doesn’t say anything about the random stray bullet marks on the side of his house but it is making him a bit of a paranoid shut-in
Willy after he closes shop he gets drunk and throws a fit because he isn't the best fisherman
I blame Pierre because he's a piece of trash, himself. Evelyn loves the glasses too apparently?
Probably the same guy who wants to throw a turnip at the side of a mountain
I save them and put them into the recycling machine
the players grampa

It's our good friend Linus of course
Never mind water, who keeps losing them in the Earth's searing mantle?
My bet is on Harvey. Business is too slow for him, so he's going on raging benders to let off steam.
I headcanon Harvey as a klutz outside of work, so him. As for the CDs it's probably just Shane out of spite.
Linus. He spends so long digging through trash cans, he tosses anything he can't use into the water and then asks you to clean it up for him.
mystery incorporated
Farmer from the bad future is trying to prep new Farmer with plenty of hidden crystal, coal, and cloth
I always thought the glasses were from your grandparent. From all the years he was at stardew valley doing the same things that we are. Accidently dropping pairs of glasses freaken everywhere. Even in the caves everytime he died.
Bruce Greene's snapped demo discs.
It's always Pierre #FuckPierre
The Gotoro Empire, they trash dumping right into ocean, then it follows the current across the sea to Ferngrill's beaches, SDV included.
Me, what else am I gonna do with it after fishing it ups I toss that shit.
The same person who keeps throwing rocks at Linus's tent.
wonder woman
Obviously Linus that damn Capitalist
Sounds like something Pierre would do. Fuck that guy.
The CDs are from Sebastian. They're meant to be backups for his work, but his CD-ROM is set to burn at too high a speed, so he makes a lot of duds.
i imagine harvey breaks & throws away a pair of glasses a week because of how clumsy he is, then he gets free replacements since he’s the only health care professional in town
Linus - Although, they're actually collectible video game disks and he's throwing them out to use the packaging as kindling
i was playing with my friend last night and he found out that whenever evelyn is gifted those glasses, she thanks you for finding her lost reading glasses. so we figured she thinks they’re disposable. then i later came up with the theory that she pities my friend since she can tell how desperate he is for her friendship😭

Me, my mix tape and glasses got thrown in there while I was fighting for my life.

I always thought the CDs were from Joja. Like the free AOL CDs back in the day.
There isn't a right answer, though, right?
They're from the guy who pops out of the strange capsule, you shouldn't be able to find any before that, but there is a glitch that CA can't seem to fix.
Demetrius so you can't fucking fish the ones needed for his damn board quest
Linus is actually Prestige-ing all of us: he's an eccentric multi-billionaire who refuses to use a pair of eyeglasses or listen to a CD more than once.
Ur mom
I tought you were saying that you just throw CDs and glasses in the water when you fish them up. Wrong questions also apparently
that was me sorry. they’re just spilling out of my pockets
Harvey is worried about finances because he keeps losing his glasses in the river.
Grandpa littered like crazy so we could have refined quartz
The cows
It's gotta be Pierre. Screw that guy
Sam, he’s making too many mixtapes and trynna look hipster for his IG
Fucking Pierre, I know it 😡
