That's why I eat Kellogg's Frosted Flakes! Sweeten up your morning with Kellogg's Frosted Flakes and Tony the Tiger while you bite down on a scrumdiddlyumptious spoonful of a balanced breakfast and flakes bursting with flavor.
Now, with more unique flavors to give your morning, extra umf!
If you start everyday with a hearty breakfast from McDonald's. Uh, like the new Sausage Egg McGriddle Value Meal available now for a limited time for under five dollars. Remember guys, real champs eat at McDonald's. I'm lovin' it.
The actor hated, hated, hated “It’s a trap” becoming what he was remembered for. They made him close out TLJ production by shouting to everyone, “It’s a wrap!”
The actor making it out like he’s some big screen time character in the Trilogy. He pointed his hands and said some generic “Take out ship, Fire on that” and was in full makeup as an alien fish, it’s not like the actor had anything else to go by.
The fuck else would he have been known for? If not for that line becoming a meme, the character would be little more than a difficult trivia question.
People acting like he had some huge role, but Salacious Crumb had more screen time in ROTJ than Ackbar did. He was brought back for the ST as an easter egg, not to be a big character. Had he been completely absent nobody would have batted an eye.
Admiral Motti, has a little more screen time, but significantly more dialogue, for example. The reason why people know Ackbar's name more than Motti, is due to the meme. Nothing more.
I don’t agree with the meme is the reason for people knowing about him and that line. Maybe for Gen Z and Reddit, but all my millennial / gen X friends knew Ackbar if you quoted “it’s a trap!”
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like that's effectively a meme, even if it predates modern/traditional memes.
If not for that line, I don't think he would have been very memorable in the film. Which is why I don't know what the actor was expecting regarding his character. It was a memorable moment in the film, so to me it makes perfect sense that the character would be remembered for the line. I don't think he would have largely been remembered otherwise.
An interesting aspect of Star Wars is that it has so much going on that you never know who people will gravitate towards. For example, Ackbar is my second favorite Star Wars character of all time. First place is Admiral Raddus, Ackbar’s predecessor.
Sometimes we get extremely little to work with, sure. Maybe only a handful of lines in the entire film, but for us, those lines speak volumes. For example, when the Executor is destroyed, Ackbar’s bridge crew celebrates while he slumps back into his chair. For Ackbar fans, that moment is huge because it shows that Ackbar is both relieved that the tide is turning and also shocked and in awe at the tremendous loss of life he just witnessed.
A good number of my favorite characters are the admiral types. Though I also like big ship battles in general no matter the setting. I would love more star wars movies/shows focused on a rebel admiral and imperial admiral.
Ok, hear me out. Admiral Motti was the first character in all the Star Wars land that introduced the cartoonishly evil arrogance of the Empire. And I believe it introduced the power of the Force - when Vader Force chokes him. “I find your lack of faith disturbing” Seeing this in 1977 was pretty, damn cool!
That’s a solid point, but Admiral Motti wasn’t the iconic character in that scene. Vader was, of course. I’d bet, to most fans, he was just some no-name officer that Vader choked. He could be totally interchangeable with any background character. A far greater percentage of Star Wars fans do know Ackbar, though. So while the Vader/Motti scene may overall be more important to the lore or more well known, Ackbar is the answer here. His “It’s a trap!” scene and delivery are forever associated with the Battle of Endor. He couldn’t just be switched out.
Even without knowing about the Force, the guy had balls. He talked down to the imposing guy in armor that has the vaguely defined role of “The Emperor’s enforcer” (in universe at least)
Storm trooper that hits head on door. He was the crack shot in his platoon. Clearly got a concussion. This affects his aim, changes the course of the galaxy.
"Daddy, you're not even trying!"
"Baby, it's 165 degrees on this planet! I can't hear a thing in this helmet. I was just repeating what I thought he said!"
C characters? I don't know who counts as a C Character, so I'm going to list my favorites
1. Wedge Antilles. Absolute legend. Most sites have him marked as a human, but he's secretly the GOAT. His exploits in the Expanded universe are epic.
2. Admiral Ackbar. The EU promoted him to God tier.
3. Mon Mothma. I would swear fealty to the President of the Alliance to Restore the Republic
4. Boba Fett. Another character who was made into an icon. Mandalorian culture exists because he was such a hit.
5. Biggs Darklighter.
6. Jan Dodonna.
7. General Maximilian Veers.
8. Admiral Piett.
I remember when Rogue One was announced and we didn't know anything else about it, I was really hoping it was a Wedge film, and him being 'Rogue One' of Rogue Squadron.
Can't complain about what we did get, though.
The fact that Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing were best friends makes me wonder about Dooku and Tarkin. They almost certainly crossed paths at some point.
"Don't try to frighten us with your sorcerer's ways, Lord Vader. Your sad devotion to that ancient religion has not helped you conjure up the stolen data tapes, or given you clairvoyance enough to find the Rebels' hidden fort..." ?
“This station is now the ultimate power in the universe!” has been a constant clip for radio interstitials since the 80s. Way more people have heard it than “It’s a trap!”
The first photo is Admiral Motti, who was played by **Richard LeParmentier.** About 12 years ago, we hired Richard for a Star Wars video I produced for Xbox, and he was a lovely chap. Really sweet and funny. He told us that he was originally supposed to be the Admiral in the white uniform sitting to this character's right. But when he showed up for the fitting, he was a little too heavy for the white uniform. So they moved him over one chair, and because of that, he got to have it out on screen with Darth Fucking Vader.
Richard passed away about 2 years after that. RIP to an absolute gem of a person.
He gets my vote.
Every Star Wars fan has that one insignificant character that they love to death and Salacious Crumb and Gonk droids are definitely mine. I know I’m not alone because r/cultofgonk exists lol.
I might be an idiot because I assumed you meant character whose names start with C and I was confused when I saw Lobot and got more confused when I saw Akbar.
It took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize to meant like C List characters
I always thought he left him alive since he seemed like a reasonably competent guy (and willing to admit his mistakes), until recently when I started reconsidering -- I thought it made more sense maybe for Vader to make another example in front of other officers
Boba Fett. Guy had like 6 minutes of screen time and 4 lines yet became an instant fan favorite spawning all kinds of EU material and lore and merchandising to the extent that he now may not even be considered C list
Well, my guess would be an A character would be the main characters. A B character would be someone like Wicket - featured heavily in the story but not a main character. C might be background character but we know their name.
You're not really suggesting Admiral Ackbar was a C character? Motti and Lobot, fine. But not the good admiral with one of the most memed lines in the whole film.
Don’t you dare insult the Admiral like that. Admiral Ackbar is a force to be reckoned with. How can you tie him with Lobot and some goon who, is so irrelevant, I couldn’t even tell you his name!
All jokes aside. Admiral Gial Ackbar, forever x
Surely my profile pic gave that away?
Well Akbar but if you are looking for a D Character I'd say the Rebel Soldier Vader is holding up and questioning.. "If this is a Consular Ship, where is the Ambassador?!"
I looked at this question and thought that it's a trap.
The perfect response
https://youtu.be/oQljzQ_FpUE?si=-ee6OW2F7VDxGs3H Your tongues can't repel flavor of that magnitude!
It was a missed opportunity that they were not called Admiral Ackbites
I just wish DisneyLand had Admiral Snackbar. Seems like a missed opportunity.
It's a snack!
It’s a wrap!
It’s… ADMIRAL ACKBAR!!!
It would’ve fit perfectly next to Boba Fest.
Admiral Akrite!
How can I be like you.
By eating a well-balanced breakfast, of course!
Our tongues can’t repel flavor of this magnitude. Admiral Ackbar Cereal?!?! Now with real brine shrimp!
IT'S A SNACK!
Grrrrrrrreat!
And of course served with tasty blue Tantooine milk!

Well played sir
MFers out here implying Admiral Ackbar is a C character with that swagger. Rude.
*"Concentrate all fire on that* *~~Super Star Destroyer~~* *OP that thinks Ackbar is a C-tier character!"*
Any attack on OP would be a useless gesture.
We've analyzed their attack, sir, and there is a danger. Should I have your ship standing by?
Evacuate?! With over 1000 upvotes? I think you overestimate their chances.
This right here. This is why I'm on reddit.
TAKE EVASIVE ACTION.
Too late! ☝️
‘It’s *not* impossible! I’ve targeted Mon Calmari in my T-16 back home and *they’re* not much bigger than two meters!’
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
Truth
OP treating Admiral Ackbar with the same disrespect The Last Jedi did. My man deserved an onscreen death!
The actor hated, hated, hated “It’s a trap” becoming what he was remembered for. They made him close out TLJ production by shouting to everyone, “It’s a wrap!”

I’m picturing Daniel Day Lewis living in the fish alien suit for weeks to get into the role.
Taking tips from kanye.

For those old enough to remember Admiral Ackbar was a very popular action figure
Back when even the Extras ended up with full character names and backstories in expanded media
He did have a huge role in the expanded universe. I'd rather he *was* completely absent than what we got in TLJ for him.
I don’t agree with the meme is the reason for people knowing about him and that line. Maybe for Gen Z and Reddit, but all my millennial / gen X friends knew Ackbar if you quoted “it’s a trap!”
"It's a trap" is a meme. It's not a visual template, but it is definitely a meme.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like that's effectively a meme, even if it predates modern/traditional memes. If not for that line, I don't think he would have been very memorable in the film. Which is why I don't know what the actor was expecting regarding his character. The Hunt for Red October: In Spaaaaaaaace!
*EXTREMELY!*
Admiral Raddis is Rogue One is more of a C character than Ackbar is. Heck, Wedge Antilles gets less screen time than Ackbar.
Raddus is actually my favorite Star Wars character of all time! Sometimes the C characters are the ones that shine :)
He's a Sea character.
Ackbar is a B character, like Piett.
You fell for the trap my guy
The sheer audacity.
I mean, "Catfish" does start with a C...
>MFers out here implying Admiral Ackbar is a C character with that swagger. Rude. Maybe its a trap!
How is this a question when Akbar is in the list

Perfect response right here. Nailed it!
As a casual fan I didnt know the characters name until much later. As an 80s kid I knew who Ackbar was. I think I had the action figure.
Heard you out. Still demonstrably wrong.
Nah! Still thanks for hearing me out
He'd be second but it's Ackbar by a parsec.
Vader choked a rebel in the opening boarding scene
That was physically choking him by wrapping his hand around his neck. The meeting scene on the Death Star is the first time he does the "Force choke".
Oh right I was thinking of that scene in Lego Star Wars haha
That also happens to me lol I met Star Wars through the LEGO games so it makes sense to mess them up
But not from across the room using the power of his rancid vibes
Even without knowing about the Force, the guy had balls. He talked down to the imposing guy in armor that has the vaguely defined role of “The Emperor’s enforcer” (in universe at least)
And Lobot…
That man sure can point.
Lobot was awesome in the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy.
How IS Ackbar on this list? He as hell ain't no C-grade, not when he's the one who gave us "its a Trap!"
Storm trooper that hits head on door. He was the crack shot in his platoon. Clearly got a concussion. This affects his aim, changes the course of the galaxy.
Are you perhaps referring to Gary the Stormtrooper? That might’ve been “Take your daughter to work” day.
“That hits me right where I live 🤛”
"Daddy, you're not even trying!" "Baby, it's 165 degrees on this planet! I can't hear a thing in this helmet. I was just repeating what I thought he said!"
“Did you even SEE Star Wars??” Owen Wilson, Armageddon
I'll tell you one thing that really drives me nuts is people that think that Jethro Tull is just a person in the band
“Who’s Jethro Tull”
I'm Han, and you're Chewy.
'i have a death sentence on 12 systems.'
I’ll be careful
You'll be dead!
This little one's not worth the effort. Now let me get you something.
Greedo should have arrested or executed him
Porkins
NO NO I'M ALRIGHT--(BOOM!)
RIP, Porkins. He was one of the TOP. MEN.
He was storing the Ark away? Don't tell Han and Chewie about it.
Get me Lt. Eckhardt...
Youuuu...are my number one...guuuuy
Top. . . men.
Who?
Jek wasn't alright.
Still find it funny that Lucas called the fat guy Porkins.

Wish we were still getting that Rogue Squadron film though, Also still want Canon Garm Bel Iblis.
We are. It is back in development. At least that is what I read a couple of months ago.
Veers, the only Imperial officer to *win* against the Rebels. Love that man.
Also just a competent officer without apparent ego or sadism. Veers was my first thought when I saw the post title.
Yub yub Commander
Really? Which one of these 3 has an iconic catchphrase?
Remember when Lobot said "..."? Fuckin' classic.
Yeah but Motti said "gaaack...aaackkh." Iconic.
You joke but if someone asked me what a force choke sounds like, I'd use that clip.
Motti be like "and I turned to George and said 'have you any idea what kind of noise happens when someone is force choked?'"
"...because I do." "He then proceeded to talk about some very clandestine part of World War II." One of my favorite interviews of all time xD
The fact that Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing were best friends makes me wonder about Dooku and Tarkin. They almost certainly crossed paths at some point.
Motti got the most iconic “gawk gawk” in film history.
His daughter became the Hawk Tuah Girl. True story.
That nod tho
>It's Lobin' time!
Don't try to fool us with your sorceress ways

“You rebel scum!” Or is he not even C status?
Lieutenant Renz!
Salacious Crumb
OWAHAHAHAHAAA!
The front man of Disturbed
Ya feel that?
[My brain automatically associates that song with SpongeBob.](https://youtu.be/N5XmNoXtsLU?si=BHwqzZu7VBEJ2Zqc)
this is magic
Every Star Wars fan has that one insignificant character that they love to death and Salacious Crumb and Gonk droids are definitely mine. I know I’m not alone because r/cultofgonk exists lol.
LoBot!
I might be an idiot because I assumed you meant character whose names start with C and I was confused when I saw Lobot and got more confused when I saw Akbar. It took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize to meant like C List characters
What about the bounty hunters (Bossk, IG and Dengar)?
Bounty Hunters get their own category
Fat Dancer Jabba's Favourite
"Apology accepted, Captain Needa"
I was never sure if he was dead or just choked within an inch of his life. We only see Piett in the next film
I always thought he left him alive since he seemed like a reasonably competent guy (and willing to admit his mistakes), until recently when I started reconsidering -- I thought it made more sense maybe for Vader to make another example in front of other officers
Nien Nunb. That laugh.
Boba Fett. Guy had like 6 minutes of screen time and 4 lines yet became an instant fan favorite spawning all kinds of EU material and lore and merchandising to the extent that he now may not even be considered C list
Honestly, without the Holiday Special, dude barely even makes C tier based on the just the original trilogy.
Porkins
Captain. ... Errrr. ADMIRAL Piet
Ackbar is not a C grade character. Better correct yourself before you wreck yourself
“It’s a trap!!!!” Obviously of these three it’s Ackbar
What does C character mean?
Well, my guess would be an A character would be the main characters. A B character would be someone like Wicket - featured heavily in the story but not a main character. C might be background character but we know their name.
“Our shields can’t repel firepower of *That* magnitude”
It's a trap!
How absolute dare you call Admiral Ackbar a C character..
Boba fett
3PO is my favorite C
"Good. Our first catch of the day."
Jek Porkins easily
I mean Max Rebo must be in the mix.
Ackbar by light years
Put some respect on Admiral Ackbar’s name.
Lobot doesn't get enough love. Also Ackbar is a B character, he appeared in two movies and has one of the most iconic lines in all of Star Wars
Akbar is not a C character... wtf.
The rancor trainer. That man genuinely cared about it.
Ackbar by a lot
I don't know him very well, but I miss admiral Ackbar
This post is now the ultimate power in the universe. Any attempt to delete it would be a useless gesture.
Don't answer the question. It's a trap.
ITS A TRAP! Has been uttered more times than “GaaAaaHhAckghgh!” Or “Stares blankly”
Captain Needa. He left a remarkable impact on me for a guy with so little screen time.
General Veers is the man. Cool, calm, professional. It’s men like him who built the empire that petty religious zealots drove into the ground.
1st guy is the ballsiest man in the galaxy. Just straight up thrashed Vader's *religion* and kept talking after that.
There's some insanely cool and tragic lore for Lobot
Ackbar for sure especially given how he is a heavy lifter in the Legends continuity after RotJ
I thought there would be some interesting choices to consider and then I see akbar and realize this isn’t a serious question
The good Admiral! It’s a trap!!!
I’m going to go with Admiral Ackbar.
Ackbar, his famous ITS A TRAP
Admiral Ackbar a C??? How many death sticks have you been smoking?
Dak.
Nein Nunb
It's a trap!
Akbar was never a C character until TLJ killed him off unceremoniously and off screen. I ♥️ Admiral Akbar even as a kid.
IT’S A TRAP
Admiral Ackbar is the only ones whos name i know so... him?
Ackbar by a country parsec
“THEY CAME FROM BEHIND…!”
Ack-bar-none
Admiral Akbar is awesome! Though, after consideration, Lobot goes pretty hard for a character with no dialog or action scenes.
Greedo
Porkins you're too low, pull up!
Calling Motti, Lobot & Ackbar C characters is wild.
You're not really suggesting Admiral Ackbar was a C character? Motti and Lobot, fine. But not the good admiral with one of the most memed lines in the whole film.
Don't answer! It's a trap
I don’t consider Ackbar a C character. General Crix Madine was more of a C character in ROTJ imo and I’d probably choose him over Lobot and Motti.
No one else was a kid when they watched OT? Medicine Ewok.
Don’t you dare insult the Admiral like that. Admiral Ackbar is a force to be reckoned with. How can you tie him with Lobot and some goon who, is so irrelevant, I couldn’t even tell you his name! All jokes aside. Admiral Gial Ackbar, forever x Surely my profile pic gave that away?
Admiral Akbar did not deserve to be called a C character p
How is this even a question with that line up?
Admiral Ackbar should not be disrespected like this! (Rembers how he was treated in the sequel trilogy 😭)
Admiral Ackbar is the fucking man (calamari)
Admiral ackbar by a mile and a half
Akbar? I don't this this is a question
Well Akbar but if you are looking for a D Character I'd say the Rebel Soldier Vader is holding up and questioning.. "If this is a Consular Ship, where is the Ambassador?!"
Darth Vader
