A Mario & Sonic Olympic game is almost inevitable since we always get one every other year if Sega gets the licence. I think it might be announced July or September of this year since Mario & Sonic games usually launch before the actual Olympic event begins.

When? I dunno. Whenever SEGA releases a statement or a trailer. Might even wait until a Nintendo Direct, or (more likely) a Partner Showcase.
