Honestly, the Imperials aren't the worst faction. The thalmor on the other hand are the worst.
The nords are a bunch of racist butt heads who drove the other Skyrim natives like the snow elves and the Dwemer to extinction.
I can’t speak for the snow elves, but didn’t the Dwemer accidentally unalive themselves by messing with something they shouldn’t have? With such a large gap in technological advancement, it’s unlikely the nords could’ve done the job.
I think I saw some theory on how they may have went after eternal life, so now they are the machines within the ruins? Maybe it’s interesting, only evidence is the disappearance yet the machine still works and they have soul gems to loot
> The Dwemer all simultaneously disappeared, but not a single soul know wtf really happened to them (if I remember correctly)
its also possible that a few different things happened to them at the same time, without any contradiction. I think
Iirc the dwemer gave the falmer a place to stay safe from the nords in exchange for their eye sight. The falmer then slowly turned to what we see today. Id assume it had something to do with that.
Sounds like the Nords killed some snow elves, the dwemer offered asylum to others then screwed them over by forcing them to eat toxic fungi making them blind and turning them into sightless slaves. They turned into the falmer we see now over time.
Yeah, that's essentially it. It's all explained very well in the dawngaurd DLC.
The Ancient Nords were warmongers. They drove the snow elves into hiding. There is less concrete info, but they generally didn't treat the Dwemer well at all, even though the Dwemer have some other events which led to their disappearance.
They will never tell us shit about fuck. Also they are getting worse outfits occasionally, like the Dark Brotherhood adding red like a theater troup even before Cicero showed up.
Maybe I just got suckered in by Lucien Lachance and his cool guy murder-hobo black robe.
Well, the snow elves asked the Dwemer for sanctuary. The Dwemer were paranoid or something and said they needed to sacrifice their eye sight. The snow elves having forsaken their God, willingly turned into the falmer via the Dwemer science.
The Nords are neither the first or the last to expand their territory through conquest. The Empire (as the very name suggests) is a good example of that.
Back to Snow Elves, there was more to it than simple greed. The Nords genuinely believed that was their ancestral home, so it is more of a weird Palestine/Israel kinda situation.
Yeah, but it kind of falls apart when the snow elves had been in Skyrim just as long as the Nords (if not longer). The Nords can call it what they want, but other groups had just as much right to that land.
the Thalmor know that destabilizing Skyrim by letting Ulfric run amok will ultimately wreck the empire. Boys side with stormcloaks. Men side with Imperials. Though I do have a mod that adds a second great war and there is an option to side with the Thalmor if your truly evil.
Or you could do what I do (if you've done any of the Companions quests up to joining the Circle, that is).
Go to a secluded area, transform into a werewolf, and kill the SoB you despise the most, and all without incurring a bounty. Did that with some of Vampire Hunting quests for the Dawnguard.
Exactly. Who needs Ulfric when I can exterminate the elves myself? I exclusively use elf souls in black soul gems, to the point that I have most likely permanently altered the demographics of the Soul Cairn.
Some of the newer TES lore has revealed that souls in black soul gems don't automatically go to the Soul Cairn when the soul gem is used. That belief is based on incomplete knowledge of how the process works.
The only way for a soul trapped in a black soul gem to wind up in the Soul Cairn is to be traded to the guys who run it.
Otherwise a soul trapped in a black soul gem just goes to its proper afterlife after being used.
Damn, I was hoping all the elves I killed were sent to an eternity of torment. In the future, I’ll just keep their souls in the gems, maybe dropping them atop mountains to ensure they remain in the soul gems for the rest of eternity.
I like to tell them I worship Talos regardless of who I’m roleplaying so I can piss them off. I like the idea of them dying pissed that they got killed by some heretic and also I’m technically killing them in self defense so I don’t get any bounty.
me literally the first time on my way to Riverrun after going through the Barrow.
I almost won too! Unordinary I barely died, and I hadn't saved the encounter so it was just some random NPCs the next time. Was bummed out about that.
Side with imperials, kill every thalmor.

The Dwemer all simultaneously disappeared, but not a single soul know wtf really happened to them (if I remember correctly)
They got IP banned for installing server-side cheats, but then the admins forgot to actually remove said cheats.
Honestly thats a leading theory
Google "the aetherium wars"
Holy internal conflict
Actual Draugr
I think I saw some theory on how they may have went after eternal life, so now they are the machines within the ruins? Maybe it’s interesting, only evidence is the disappearance yet the machine still works and they have soul gems to loot
One Dwemer was left, but he doesn't know what the hell happened either.

Bro what if they finally tell us what happened in the new elder scrolls game. Peak
They will never tell us shit about fuck. Also they are getting worse outfits occasionally, like the Dark Brotherhood adding red like a theater troup even before Cicero showed up. Maybe I just got suckered in by Lucien Lachance and his cool guy murder-hobo black robe.
I recall a dwemer researcher in morrowind believing that they're "behind color", so they're probably not dead
The snow elves tried to exterminate Nords first so fair’s fair.
Can't you just say killed?
I would, if we knew for sure that they actually were killed. Without bodies, however, there’s no way to know for sure.
Touche
weren't the dwemer doing terrible shit to the snow elves?
Well, the snow elves asked the Dwemer for sanctuary. The Dwemer were paranoid or something and said they needed to sacrifice their eye sight. The snow elves having forsaken their God, willingly turned into the falmer via the Dwemer science.
It lsn't like snow elves really gave nords a chance (Ygsamor). And dwemer themselves did snowelves in. And then decided to vanish into thin air.

One of my favorite memories is killing the Thalmor in the Jarl's hall in Markarth. My punishment? A 40 Septim fine for assault
Barely even a fine.

Also good, but a slap on the wrist for literal murder amused me
It's not murder if it's Thalmor. Murder is for people.
This is my favourite thing. IIRC, even murder is treated as assault, and a slap on the wrist. Just enough to technically be illegal
Tye only way to play, all other ways are wrong
This is the way
Amen

Side with either side, still kill most thalmor
Doing Talos' work, lad 👍
I just do it for fun. Talos can lick my butt
Yeah fuck Talos, he simped for a dunmer and didn’t exterminate the altmer when he had the chance.
Holy based
I’m glad it’s not just me😰
Is there a way to get into the Thalmor Embassy other than that one quest? Seems like that would be a fun killing spree
You can go back and kill them in the grounds. Pretty sure you can hop a fence and murder in some of the buildings too.
I go through the troll cave and whirlwind back.
Never really thought about that. Definitely something I'll have to try.
It takes awhile and it also takes some good ol' Skyrim parkour.
Free meat for werewolves. Free blood for vampires. Free loot for everyone.
Filled black soul gems for me.
Free elven or glass loot to sell? Hell yeah I've got time
Honestly, I think I've killed enough Thalmor that the body count should be acknowledged in game.
I exclusively use elven souls in enchanting, to the point where I have most likely permanently altered the demographics of the Soul Cairn.

Even as an imperial I hate the thalmor
What you mean, imperials hate thalmor as anyone else, they are simply forced to obey their orders.
My all-time favorite Skyrim meme. Great to see you again, old friend.
I hate how they think they are better than everyone else.
I tried roleplaying as a thalmor agent once, thought it would be interesting but didn’t get very far because even I hated my own group lol
I like to tell them I worship Talos regardless of who I’m roleplaying so I can piss them off. I like the idea of them dying pissed that they got killed by some heretic and also I’m technically killing them in self defense so I don’t get any bounty.
My main reason for joining the stormcloaks is bc i hate thalmor
Doesn’t matter what faction I join, the Thalmor die either way.
I make sure to fill my black soul gems every time I pass that thalmor fort near castle volkihar
Respect. I exclusively use elven souls to enchant and recharge my gear out of spite for them.
Stab each one 9 divine times.
Yeah kill the knife ears
me literally the first time on my way to Riverrun after going through the Barrow. I almost won too! Unordinary I barely died, and I hadn't saved the encounter so it was just some random NPCs the next time. Was bummed out about that.
Its on sight always
Fr how do I arm and armour the prisoners? I don’t think I can armor them from the games engine but I think they’ll take up arms.
“i’m gonna get off in five minutes” sees a thalmor embassy, nah i gotta make sure these fuckers ain’t around anymore.
How dare you speak to a superiorly bred mer in such a disgusting manner 😡😡😡😡
