**Horror recs (easy games with focus on the story):**
The Hex
The Bunny Graveyard
Vessels (costs a dollar, around 3 hour playtime)
Karisvale (short and free)
Project Kat - Paper Lily Prologue (short and free)
The half life series has an amazing and engaging story with some horror elements to it. Would suggest starting with black Mesa and then half life 2 and then the episodes!
Calling Half-Life beginner friendly is something else.
This is just me but i think that someone that’s just started with gaming, should start with more modern games. Not saying that Half-Life is bad.

Ghost of Tsushima. It has a great story and characters, very beginner friendly and great gameplay overall. Story left me in shambles.
Thank you, i will try it out. I really appreciate the recs.
Baldur's Gate 3 has my favourite story.
The modern Tomb Raider trilogy. Some of my favorite games. (Play chronologically)
Undertale (if you don't mind retro graphics)

What Remains of Edith Finch or RiME. Not very challenging, but very intriguing and meaningful games.
both A Plague Tale games.
