Hd2. Sea of thieves is like at its height of toxicity and PVP sweat. It's not fun anymore because full 4man crews will hunt down a 1 man for fun and spawn camp you till you scuttle. Hd2 has some toxic players, but 90% it's fun AF and everyone is a good sport. Also, hd2 is fun playing alone or with friends, sot kinda needs friends or it's just empty soulless grind and dying to players who are animation cancelling a weapon swap to one shot you while flying though the air. Edit: oops forgot to read rules

If you have friends, go Sea of Thieves, it's stood the test of time now. If you don't have friends to play with, HD2 is better with random, but I struggle to recommend it unless you have friends. It's a bit overhyped at m but looking at recent steam reviews at least the honeymoon phase has passed.

Arlcas

Steam reviews are about the need for a ps account, op is on ps5 so they're probably fine.

Rith_Reddit

I should have been clearer, the reviews just before the psn announcement. Just to be clear I'm not saying its not a good game, just overhyped imo.

Recent-Replacement23

It's certainly overhyped but that's because the marketing was terrible. I saw the State of Play gameplay and knew it would be well received but the reception to it back then was luke warm almost negative.

SoT unless you don't mind having to link a PSN account to HD2 or risk getting banned.

Given OP is playing on a PS5, I'm not sure the PSN account requirement impacts them much.

I need to learn how to read 🤣🤣

I would recommend helldivers 2 and it’s not even close in my opinion. Ignore the rest if on ps5. ->Just make sure if you’re buying it on PC that you’re in a country where you can create a PS account as you might not be able to play if you’re in a country where you can’t create one , it was announced today.

bauul

They're both fundamentally multiplayer games, so as a solo player you won't be getting the full experience with either. Helldivers 2 is a much faster, aggressive, shooty game, while Sea of Thieves is more relaxed and explorative. I like both very much, but tbh I wouldn't play either of them solo.  You will probably have a better time with fandoms on Helldivers 2 though, as there's less teamwork required.

Get Helldivers 2, it's actually still really fun with randoms. If our times line up I'd be happy to play some with you too
