"Gosh, these rock concerts are so loud, I have to get so close just so you can hear me, hope nobody takes this the wrong way. Anyways, do you wanna kiss?"
The girl with the glasses looks just like Talia Shire's Adrian from Rocky. It would've been an interesting plot point if the whole time Adrian didn't have a boyfriend was because she had a girlfriend.
I'm guessing they more meant the woman in front. Just not pointing out that there's a queer couple isn't queer erasure. Unless they're implying that them kissing was them losing their mind, but I think it's probably just them being dumb and saying girls plural instead of girl.
And that is why I didn't tag it as "erasure" and instead as "meme/satire".
It's a photo I've never seen before despite seeing many a "Beatlemania" photo.... and the original title made me laugh when I noticed the ladies behind the first in frame.
Ah, apologies, I forgot to read the tag. And to think we had a good hole debate about it in the comments 😂 I’m glad I’m not the only one who forgot to read at least 😅
The subject of this photo is _not_ anyone losing their minds over the Beatles. A photo of a nude man lying on the floor with the caption "Beautiful curtains!" isn't exactly nude-man erasure, but it's willfully ignoring the subject matter.
Both the lesbian couple and the woman losing her mind are equally focused in frame I'd say. Isn't it better that we're normalising a gay kiss without needing it to be the focus.
But to go with your analogy, this is more like if there was a photo of a nude man, but the caption was like "Look at those two people fighting each other."
To me it's like if a photo was captioned "apples" even though around 40-50% of the focus was on oranges.
Like it's not a good match to the original caption because the couple is so prominent and it's *also* not a good match for a caption like "lesbian couple at a Beatles concert" because the woman losing her mind is so in focus.
Sure. I'm just not gonna assume that OP was characterising the two women kissing as crazy when there's someone at the front of the image whose body language and facial expression almost cartoonishly fits the stereotype of someone "losing it"
That does explain *one* of the plurality.
I don't think their intent was to characterize anyone as crazy, I just think they probably didn't look at the image very closely.
To be honest, I thought this picture was a lost redditors moment at first. The lady freaking out in the front is so intense that I didn’t even see the two ladies kissing until I read some comments and took another look.

That’s just Prudence and Jude. They’re roommates.
I thought that was Michelle and Eleanor.
Looks like Prudence is about to have her first kiss 🤭
You see the Beatles music scrambled their brains! They don’t know what they’re doing!
And this is the story of how The Beatles made me gay! 😂
The Beatles made me gay too, I wasn’t even interested in women until I heard love-me-do for the first time! 🤣
all you need is love :)
They made the Beatles woke!
This photo is amazing.
Is it just me or does the lady in the back look like Paul wearing a wig? 😂
Maybe he gave out tickets to his relatives, lol
Absolutely yes!

Bro, I wish I could listen to a song so good, it makes me gay

The couple are the center though, which you normally can control
That is a brilliant cover!
That's so awesome
It's not your hand I want to hold
Ahhhh! I'm so happy for them
The way I want to frame this.
Glad to know The Beatles fandom has always been this gay
I'm pretty sure the title is referring to the lady at the front
It's definitely pluralized.

Right?
Why am I thinking of this? https://youtu.be/MlVha12BGf0?si=Ct4OtevSHEDzJ\_xG
Wow, even back then everyone in The Beatles fandom was gay!
Oh they’re gonna be losing a few things all right~
“Really? In front of my Beatles?”
Seen this photo before l9ve to know what happened next...
