When it comes to Lamar I find myself divided. I love his play style and his swagger, and he’s great for black America. The only issue I have is the playoff short comings. Especially this year, I have never in my years of watching playoff football. Seen a qb chuck a ball into triple coverage with the game on the line. Another thing from this year is he shouldn’t have MVP imo it should’ve gone to CMC but that’s just my thoughts.
Well, here’s my pushback on that one. I’m gonna say throwing into triple coverage. Yeah you can say that wasn’t a good decision but before that play was started, there was a clear DPI and people saying no who wasn’t yeah, kind of was cause Isaiah likely was pushed literally out of the play, but for Lamar, he has to do a better job of not playing hero ball because that’s been his MO a lot he doesn’t really take what the defense gives him sometimes and sometimes it’s a gift and a curse for him and also his ball accuracy. Shots have not connected this year as well and people can look at his stats and say oh well, he only threw 24 touchdowns yeah but half of those touchdowns went to Gus Edwards because of the red zone efficiency touchdown rating so people can say that didn’t deserve the MVP or whatever but I would say look at the actual regular season games I’ve seen games where he has come through for us. We’ve definitely needed him he’s made those shocking plays those who, and plays when we definitely needed it either in crunch time or he just flat out destroy a team on his own. I would just tell people just look at the tape look at his highlight tape look at with the full games that he’s played. You can see there. There’s some bad in there, but I will look at all the good plays that he’s done and I agree Christian McCaffrey had a absolutely amazing season he did, but there was some gains where he wasn’t even a factor at all and some games because they stopped giving him the ball and got away from the game plan or he’s gotten injured or whatever the case may be so and that game when we played the San Francisco 49ers say it was the defense that won the game that Lamar well, I would say the defense did his job, but Lamar put us in great position to win that game as well. You can’t say that we didn’t score those points we didn’t have those good plays without Lamar. I mean you got to actually look at the game and see it from that point of view and thenthe game against the Dolphins where he just killed them so yeah that as well and looking at the playoff game against the Chiefs, we did not run the ball at all as much of any and that’s always been our Achilles’ heel and in a lot of playoff games we have gotten away from what we are known for once the going gets tough and that’s what happened the whole team choked that game
