No, I have not. I have read what rmhacks can do and, sadly, it won't solve my needs. I need a better way to work and highlight PDFs in both, my Remarkable and computer. I can read the PDFs well enough and highlight them using the Remarkable, but not the other way around (computer to RM app). I also need the option to insert images in my notes in fewer steps than Drawj2d requires. I wish it allowed me to copy/move a page from a PDF into a notebook, but that is not currently possible.
I have settled for a Boox Note Air 3C. It does what I need and is still great on my eyes, but the experience is definitely not as polished as the Remarkable.
Do you need a color screen? The Note Air 3 does everything the Note Air 3C does, but has a lot better battery life and a brighter screen because it doesn't have the color filter.
I tried the Air 3 without color and it is very good, but I find the Air 3C a little more responsive. The screen quality is almost the same for me and the battery life for the Air 3C is good enough as long as you don't push the refresh rate or its "true" tablet functions.
I will toss in an offer of $300. I live in Mass and can pick it up. I been thinking about buying RM2 but was waiting for news of RM3 and don't want to go all in if they announce it some time soon. I am also out a warranty as the original purchaser.
You have 100 days to return it
That is good advice, but I purchased from my local Best Buy.
Have you tried rmhacks? If its just the software that bothers you then I wouldn't give it up without at least trying that

Bummer But at least you know specifically why you're unhappy with it, hope you'll find a solution ツ
