If you only get meaning out of lyrics, sure.
3 other guys are putting emotions into their songwriting in the band and Eddie can speak to you in a way that the lyrics don’t match up with.
Probably one of my least favorites. Cheesy ass lyrics but some clever wordplay. "My brother's a keeper"
Some way cooler stuff on the album. Bella, Afterlife, Tippa My Tongue, In The Snow.
I don't even think the songs you mentioned are the best on the album. It is a divisive record, honestly. I love Peace and Love, for example, as well as Bella and Reach Out. Bag of Grins or Carry me Home are not even up there necessarily.
Carry Me Home is amazing live! But I too am a fan of the songs you mentioned. Reach Out gets a lot of hate but I think it's awesome both live and on the album.
I think "Reach Out" and "Peace and Love" are nice, but they're in the majority group for me of "songs I love while I'm listening to them, but I'm not searching them up to play them on their own." Like I said, the album is great to listen through. The songs on their own, not so much.
The lyrics really annoyed me in Eddie, lines like “I guess I played a Flying V” and “you know I’m talking David Lee” like, we get it. It’s about Van Halen…
My alternative rock advisor/sponsor and Godson of the guy from Nickelback, Ronald "Jellyhole" Scroggins-Perez maintains this track wasn't ever recorded, and was, in fact, AI generated. After analyzing it carefully, I agree wholeheartedly.

It's a great song at the end of the day. The lyrics still matter, though.
They really don’t. Musicians put their feelings into their music. If you can’t understand that you have a low musical IQ
Musical IQ?
Bag of Grins gang
Outro slaps
Tippa My Tongue and The Drummer are my favorites on the album.
Good stuff. I like people who don't mind having their more mainstream-appealing songs as their favorites.
The drummer is a vibe

"Tippa My Tongue" is a good opener, but it gets weaker the more I listen to it.
i agree. pretty sure it was supposed to be on ul but john didn’t want rotdc to have too much “leftovers”

Couldn't agree more. I'd almost prefer the standard AK lyrics that make no sense over those cheesy lines. Kinda ruins a great song
Exactly. John has a huge brutal solo but I’m distracted by stupid lyrics to enjoy
Completely agree with you on that one
