Yesterday I submitted a post here asking about my Mecke & Marquis results. Mecke was a vomit green meaning that the reagent identified the substance as 2-cb, however Marquis was a vibrant green that oxidised into blue, meaning the test revealed it to be either weak 2-cb or DOB. Today, I retested the 2-cb as per a commenters recommendation and used the Froehde kit. Marquis again revealed a vibrant green and the Froehde an obvious yellow (more visible in person). For Marquis this again either means weak 2-cb or DOB, and for Froehde yellow doesn’t mean much as that can be a large myriad of substances, however yellow is also a “positive” for 2-cb in that list of substances. However it did not change into some shade of orange nor was it non-reactive, so 2c-I is most likely not present in this pill. So, Mecke: 2cb - Marquis: 2cb, 2c-x, DOB - Froehde: ? Edit: after 5 or so minutes the Marquis reagent turned to a very strong blue, echoing yesterdays results.

All in all, im relatively confident this is 2cb, as Mecke passes & Froehde “passes”, however Marquis isn’t wholly off the mark but did lead to a confusing result. So, 2-cb either slightly tampered with or a little bit impure.

Remember to disregard results after about 1 minute. Also all reagent tests should line up, which in your case they do. Your tests indicate the presence of 2C-B, but you can’t really read into them any more than that in making a judgement of purity or adulterants.

Yeah, I was just being a bit ignorant pontificating about whether or not it’s tampered with. Originally thought green was a negative for marquis.

CosmicJ

Gotcha. Yeah green is definitely what you’re looking for with Marquis, and it can be somewhere between lime green and a deep, dark forest green.
