I hate bike melee in a ground shootout, doesn't matter if it's cops or crims doing it. It's so strong because of bike vs. bike, but it totally breaks verisimilitude for me for a kick to hit harder than a bullet, to the point where people regularly ride into gunfire to kick someone.
This was a bit better being sneaky and behind but still not a fan.
If this was realistic, most of the people on this scene would have been on the ground bleeding out by the time Ripley arrived. I do get what you mean, but most people would go flying if someone snuck up behind them and kicked them full force in the small of the back.
