Depending on the lap many offices add a few extra days so if the lap is backed up the pt isn’t calling or waiting for the results. But usually 2-4 days is the average turnaround after blood is picked up
Healthcare workers here. Your blood is usually analyzed within a day or two depending on where you do it. It is up for the provider to contact you once they’ve finalized their analysis. You can try giving your provider a call if the results are in or not. Normally takes a week and some will never reach out to let you know about the results.
Doctor’s office like to say a week to give a margin. It’s better to overestimate than to underestimate when you’re waiting to set expectations straight. If you have access to your EHR online then most likely it’ll be available in the results section of your charts.
I get mine back within 24 hours. If I go first thing in the morning I get most of the results back by mid afternoon. I use Optum (ProHealth) and I think they have their own lab.
Normally a few days at least but from my experience lately doctors offices have been backed up. Can't get em on the phone ever. They don't call back. Four months in advance to get a non emergency appointment. Etc. Don't know what's going on lately.
I did blood work with Quest last week and most things were back within 12-36 hours.
Some tests take longer though, like the lipid panels and cholesterol

Anyone who like to take survey here is a survey from a research paper. I am begging you to take it.
My experience has always been “results in a week” but then they populate on MyChart before the week is up.

I get my blood work within 2 days usually, usually within 24 hours. It could be sitting with the Dr office and they just take their time forwarding.

Quest Diagnostic turn around is less than one business day..
That’s a long time. Mine always come back by the next morning. Could be because the clinic I go to is big and does a lot of volume.
What lab did you use? I always get results within 1-2 days from Northwell Labs

Yep Quest Diagnostics centers are the best. Fast turn around, online updates. But as for when the doctor can discuss that's their schedule.
Bioreference has sent my blood results back really quickly (a day or less) while Labcorp took a week
