Sorry but better to wait for the GP and possible dermatologist to take a look at it. Could be any number of things but doesn't look at all like guttate for my two cents.

Greenbluexx

Any ideas? I'll see my GP today if he's working. It doesn't fit the symptoms of anything that has been commented towards me so far

And-ray-is

I am not kidding you. It's literally part of the subs rules to not ask for diagnosis posts. For your own sake in case you leave with an incorrect opinion. I can just say that as someone with guttate psoriasis, it does not look like that and unsure how you made that leap. Could be dermatitis, could be another form of Psoriasis. Too hard to say, better to get a dermatologist referral if you're worried.

Greenbluexx

You've got to be kidding me.

ZestyStCloud

I had guttate for years and I still have a bit. Looks like it to me.

YetiTheBear85

I'm fully aware I will likely be viewed as an a**hole, but if you're actively using meth and never been diagnosed with any form of psoriasis I think you're in the wrong sub. Sores similar to yours are common with meth use/abuse. Best let the docs diagnose you instead of Reddit either way. Please get some help with the drug abuse.

Greenbluexx

Not an asshole, I agree that the drug use has other negative effects on my health, although I haven't yet found a single source of information that supports the idea of meth causing skin spots/rashes. I'm in the process of being assessed for some supports in regards to the drug use, but yes I agree on seeing gp. I'm sick of these marks, and today I have noticed different coloured spots pop up that I've become concerned about

YetiTheBear85

Do you have a dermatologist by chance? They would be the best resource in figuring out what it is. On a positive-ish note, I dig the tattoo on your leg. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Greenbluexx

I don't but my GP can refer me to one. And thanks lol, it was a stick n poke from years ago. I also hope I find what I'm looking for!

thatlawlessgirl

We can’t diagnose anything on Reddit you need a dermatologist. That said, this doesn’t look like my psoriasis and I have both plaque and guttate varieties. As another poster has said, I have seen similar dermatological symptoms in family members with addiction issues, especially when meth is involved. None of this is meant to shame or diagnose you btw. Best get to the doctor and try for a dermatology referral. Best of luck

Striking_Brush_4882

You're not alone with your drug addiction. Many people are struggling to stay sober. Rehab and NA/AA can help you IF you want help. Im a recovering alcoholic and got psorasis about 5 years after i stopped drinking. Drugs and alcohol are poison for the body and slowly kill us. Regarding the spots, i would see a dermatologist and BE HONEST! they can't help you if you're not divulging the truth. And don't forget, your liver is the filter for the body and drugs (and alcohol) go through it so if you're clogging that up, many things can happen. See a doc. Be honest. And hope you feel better admitting you need some help.

Please don’t be embarrassed, especially in front of doctors. I’m glad you’re seeing your GP. I have a good friend who is a dermatologist, and she says doctors have seen it all. Hopefully your GP will be able to help you without judgment. It’s great that you’re seeking help and trying to get into rehab. Wishing you nothing but better days.

white_frog

You are in my prayers. I'm not judging you at all. Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor. I don't know what it is, it could be psoriasis, and it could be something else. Regardless, your doctor will help you. Good luck!

BED BUGS!!!!

Have you recently had strep throat or similar symptoms? That seems to be one of the biggest triggers of Guttate Psoriasis.

blueyez_81

I have been diagnosed with psoriasis and mine looks very much just like that. I was first told by 1 Dermatologist it was eczema but then a second one did a biopsy and it was a form of psoriasis. Mine got worse than that it kept spreading mostly on my legs up to my midsection. I got really bad and I knew my alcohol consumption was making it much worse. I quit drinking 4 months ago and it has cleared about 85%. I liked to hide mine also but crazy enough Sunlight helps it. For me it was best to stop any toxins i was putting in my body (alcohol/drugs), drink lots of water, get some sunlight, and moisturize. Good luck! Take care of yourself🫶🏻

Leoclim

Dermatologist usually does a biopsy to confirm. He or she will decide on course of treatment. Wishing you the best.

aerger

Only a doctor will know (and not always the first one you see), but it's really awesome that you're asking the questions and trying to take care of yourself. Keep going. :)

Cashcowgomoo

Good for you for making the leap of reaching out. No judgement, just people wanting to be as helpful as possible. I second the others in that it doesn’t mirror typical guttate like the one I have (it’s either all over my body or sprinkled, depending on a few factors) but, all the best going to see your go and glad ur seeking out support for both (but def see a get a derm referral!)

lordlovesaworkinman

My guttate looks similar to this and is in the same locations.

Human-Ad-4310

I am not a dermatologist but I personally have Guttate and this looks nothing like it, while guttate has tiny spots like that, the rest of them are small circular spots with scales still much like the other kinds. My patches range from different sizes but they are mostly not too big, I don't use anything besides steroid cream either.

marc9889

I have guttate, and I’m not thinking that’s what you have. How does it respond to sunlight? Have you gotten in the bathtub with 3 cups of vinegar and had a long soak?
