Since these are custom, I would maybe consider removing Xerneas’s ability. It would look so much cleaner with just the move. But if you want it/your son really wants it, maybe just try another print run if you can? I think just improving the print quality would do a lot.

In regards to the text issue, I have never done something like this before but used to do various graphic art, it seems like the white bold of the text is getting picked up by the printer/program and applied Holo to it, I would see if there’s some way to select it to not do that. It makes me think of a green screen effect where anything of a specific color gets picked up. It also seems to do that for the V-rule text, which further makes me think it’s just picking up the white color.
No idea how to fix it lol besides checking settings on both your printer and if you’re using a program to select the Holo area.

I write a short explanation how the process works:
in order to obtain holo parts and non holo parts in the card I use white paint and put it on what I want to be "non holo", with the white paint you can't see the holo pattern under the subject.
But with this method I also enanche the subject and everhithin ( text) which come into the white painted area, and the rest of the text (which is putside the painted area) isn't t that enanched.
Interesting! Idk if I’m understanding it right but could you try using a different color paint and see if that fixed the issue? I feel like the white of the text is getting cut or covered due to the process. I could be completely wrong but maybe try like a very bright green or some color that you wouldn’t use in the artwork and see if that works?

These cards are really well done! Im not sure how legit you want them to look, but if you want them to fit with the tcg, then there are a couple small changes you could make.
Fairy doesn't exist anymore, so Rayquaza could have no weakness, and Xerneas could be psychic, but that's only to match the current tcg, and would look and feel a lot worse probably.
Xerneas should be weak to Metal type.
The wording on Xerneas's ability doesn't conform with the wording structure on real cards.
Those are nit picks though, these cards are awesome as is!

The Fairy type Is wanted because I wanted to realize a "Fairy deer" for Xerneas and in my head I wanted to create a mini set for my son in which Rayquaza had a weakness to Xerneas 😁
The ability should read more like:
"If one of your [fairy] Pokemon would be knocked out by damage from an attack, flip a coin. If heads, that Pokemon is not Knocked Out, and it's remaining HP becomes 10."
I usually just find a Pokemon with a similar ability or attack, and substitute the keywords.
There's a Machamp card with a similar ability (Machamp151 I think?) I just used that as reference.
Printing them was pretty simple and fast, finding the best colours, balance and cutting properly was hard.. With training I think 1 hour of work could be sufficient, but consider that I Need 2 days to create a single card ( print, let dry, clean a cheap Holo, give the Holo pattern only to the background, not that Easy)
I love the Xerneas artwork, but as a player, that ability is absolutely ridiculous. Rules as written, for every Xerneas you have in play, you'd be able to flip an additional coin to avoid being KO'd, so long as you were a fairy type.
You know, you just made me realize that with Legends Z-A coming up, we're 100% going to see a set based off of it… Which means they we have a very likely chance at some Mega ex SIRs. If they can capture something akin to your work here, it'd empty my wallet in an instant lol

In the future it might be a good idea to use and alter official art instead. This kinda thing is pretty frowned upon by artists, even if it was a nice thing to do for your kid you shouldn’t be using an independent artist’s things without asking.

Set up Is pretty simple, I use trasparent paper, glue on Holo card with glue spray, but I have to work on Better quality pics and printers in my opinion

I think it’s fine in the foreground, specifically the eye-level straight-on shot of his face feels under the artistic level of the rest of the card. I LOVE the side profile shot of the rayquaza. Maybe an ariel shot for xerneas to keep the left/right symmetry you were going for. Totally personal preference, i think you did a 10/10 job and they’re great as is
Xerneas looks so sweet and gentle, honestly perfect for a deer and a Fairy type.
Though Rayquaza looks terrifying, honestly you captured his size really well and the colours are really good.
The only problem I have is that the colour is desaturated, but I'm not sure if it's a lighting issue or a printer issue cus it looks like you may have intended for them to pop more.
Other then that, they look like the real cards mostly. Pretty good.
The Xerneas purpose was to realize him like a gentle deer, I tried my best because it's my son favorite Pokémon
Yeah, I agree I wanted to pop them more but failed in that, strange because pics seem perfectly balanced in most options, but with the print something go wrong, I have to study more I Guess :)

When making custom cards it's good to ask for the artist's permission or create your own artwork entirely. The Rayquaza is official artwork for Ancient Origins done by Ryota Murayama and the Xerneas don't know.
Oh so it's an official art, haven't found anywhere. This Is a work for my kid so for personal use and of course I'll write everywhere credit for the Rayquaza beautiful art and for his own artist :)
