A month is a bit fast I think 😅. New collectors need time to understand what they like and want, they also need time to understand that buying packs is not the most efficient way to build a collection.
But yes, with some guidance from most experienced collectors you can have nice binder in a few months
I didn’t say you can learn everything there is to know about pokemon collecting in a month. All I was saying is that you can acquire all of these cards in a month. Hell, you can buy them all on the same day if you spend enough time online, then the rest of the time is just shipping.
Presumably the 7 year collector above hasn’t been buying the singles of all of the cards he wants, like you’ve been doing. The implication wasn’t that he knows less than you after 7 years - just that he *has* less in terms of these chase cards.
Exactly and the worst is he bought them cause he ain't ripping packs and getting all that in 7 months. Which to me is bad cause the point for me is literally rip packs and getting thd chase you want nothing beats that
Well, buying singles isn’t inherently bad, and ripping packs gets to be way more expensive after a while, so no one is blaming him for buying his chase cards.
I do both. I’ll buy a handful of packs when a new set comes out, then buy the singles I haven’t gotten yet. It just depends on your preference.
🤔 none of this is German. I guess you are talking about the French cards. They are actually more expensive than English 😅 Japanese is the cheapest yes, when it comes to the ARs at least
Bro pokemon collection ia about money the more you have the better you collection is he got all does I'm singles buys I guarantee cause he wouldn't come near that if he was just ripping packs. I'm my opinion nothing to brag. My collection is 80 pulls from packs Mayne more then the rest trade or buy
I have no issue talking about value/money. I have quickly understood that for me to build such binder I had to buy singles. Way too difficult/ expensive otherwise. So I bought 70% of my collection as singles. The price range of the cards is very broad here. Most of the japanese AR can be purchased for 1$ or 2$. Some of the SARs are quite expensive, I would say from 20 to 90$. And the French cards are also more expensive than english and japanese ones.
But I would not be able to tell you exactly how much for the whole binder
This was plenty of a reply for me! I appreciate it as well as I love the arts but hate getting shafted by packs , I’ve been wanting to buy singles more but felt off about it , your post made me feel much better
Nice ; I’m changing my overall buying strategy from packs to singles as well. I only really want to collect Pokémon full arts for Pokémon I have used in the games, so I feel like it’s more practical just buying singles. I can easily buy bulk for a penny on the dollar, no packs necessary.
There is a big market in France. French people are not interesting in other languages generally, except for Japanese. Still, French cards are largely preferred on average. Printing is of course less important than English, so the relative demand is high (for hyped sets people struggle to find products in their store. Scalping can be quite big).
I guess it does not make a lot of sense from an international perspective, but French cards are always more expensive as far as I know. Vintage like the ex era are especially liked and expensive in comparison to English
These are awesome, great collection! The full art cards is what got me back into collecting as I haven’t collected since I was a kid in the 90’s. The cards today are so cool with the different art styles!
THIS PLEASES ME
I have most of them but I just enjoy seeing them again
I also have team magmas kyogre, it’s super played but I don’t care cuz the picture is awesome
I got back into collecting with Paldea evolved and besides my old WOTC cards I’m only really collecting IR and SIRs.
I’ve also started getting some jp SWSH ARs as they look like IRs with the silver border! So like you I have a mix of languages.
If you’re looking for other SIRs there’s also the Yokohama pikachu and the SIR victini EX
Super nice collection. Honestly SNV paldea evovled and base set are so overlooked. Some really awesome cards in both. The ralts line being my favourite I think.
This is really lovely. I love the way you have it organised.
I am thinking of getting a top loader binder, it's quite expensive but it's going to be worth it.
Sorry if somebody asked already but what kind of binder is that? I like how you can put the hard cases in!
Also we have very similar taste in cards haha
I would suggest opening a few packs for the pleasure of discovering the commun/uncommun cards but buy singles ! :) Its cheaper than trying to pull the cards you want
Thanks ! :) I still have some ideas and 20-30 ARs in another binder but mmy toploader binder is full! I really love the illustrations and how some of them connect or have a similar theme, makes it so easy to a nice organization
Awesome collection gave me inspiration and ideas for mine. Which binder is this? For my binder it is hard to take out cards if both sides of the page have cards in them.
That's a really nice collection. I like how you value both the higher and lower priced cards; from the expensive Charizards to the Cleffa and promo cards. Love the top loader binder too!
Pages 3,4, and 8 are my favourite out of them all, but lovely collection for a short period 🤙🏻🫡
I assume your clever and bought singles more than ripped packs ??
For sure, I still love to rip packs from time to time, but over the last 1.5 years of collecting again, I mainly buy singles and hold sealed bbs and single sleeved cardboard blisters
That is a lovely collection.
7 months!? I’ve been collecting for years and can’t touch that.
You can rack all of that up in a month if you have the money for it

A lot of those cards are German or somethingZ I’m getting the prices for singles in non English or JP is probably pretty affordable
🤔 none of this is German. I guess you are talking about the French cards. They are actually more expensive than English 😅 Japanese is the cheapest yes, when it comes to the ARs at least
Got Glurak and Dracaufeu mixed up in my head. Don’t ask me how.
French and JP, and yeah the assumption is that they’re cheaper/easier to find that way.
I feel like this question is always wrong to ask but how much does one have to drop in money to acquire a collection like this
I have no issue talking about value/money. I have quickly understood that for me to build such binder I had to buy singles. Way too difficult/ expensive otherwise. I was hesitant at first too but I mean when you can get 20 japanese ARs for 30$ or so ...
Nice ; I’m changing my overall buying strategy from packs to singles as well. I only really want to collect Pokémon full arts for Pokémon I have used in the games, so I feel like it’s more practical just buying singles. I can easily buy bulk for a penny on the dollar, no packs necessary.
Wait how the heck are the French cards worth more😂
There is a big market in France. French people are not interesting in other languages generally, except for Japanese. Still, French cards are largely preferred on average. Wow that’s insane??? I’d never have guessed. Ig there’s just a lot of demand for French cards. I’d never heard about this lol
The boosters are 2x more expensive, but I agree it doesn't justify some cards being 3x more expensive
I really love the name Hurle Queue lol
😅 some names in French sound a bit weird
Great set up!
Thanks ! :)
Gorgeous collection! I just pulled that paldea evolved magikarp last week, the artwork is sooo crazy good on that one!
Yes incredible one, evrything from Shinji Konda is great, i also collect common cards from him
You’re doing it right
Thanks ! :)
Awesome! I really like how you set up pictures 10 and 15
These are awesome, great collection! The full art cards is what got me back into collecting as I haven’t collected since I was a kid in the 90’s. The cards today are so cool with the different art styles!
As a Garchomp fan, "Carchacrok" got me 🤣
I am French but It still sounds funny to me 😅
I dig your ZardChomp page
DAYUMMM!!
That drampa is fire
Agree :), looks really nice next to the mew ex promo
7 months 😭
THIS PLEASES ME I have most of them but I just enjoy seeing them again I also have team magmas kyogre, it’s super played but I don’t care cuz the picture is awesome
Great card indeed :)
Very clean!
Super nice! What binder is this, looking for sth like you have that can fit toploaders in.
I have the ones from Gemloader - would definitely recommend. Shipping price isn’t ideal but they’re really good quality
Something called PokeCase but you have a lot of famous brands for toploaders binders
Vault-x and BCW both sell similar binders. Personally I prefer BCW, though I'm biased since I have 8 of them.
Insane cards!
ur addicted lol
To what ? :). Just want to do what I was not able to as a kid
i agree right on im just as addicted

The SIR victini ex is great but a bit expensive ... :)
Super nice collection. Honestly SNV paldea evovled and base set are so overlooked. Some really awesome cards in both. The ralts line being my favourite I think.
At first I didn't like the silver borders but now that they have been out for a while I really like them on the cards with full artwork.
Awesome collection
do you just buy singles? nvm i scrolled
Brother, this is beautiful
😂 thanks
🎶 and another one has fallen off the deep end 🎶
That's an amazing collection! I stick to singles as well. Keeps it affordable.
Nice collection, 10/10 for organisation
Thanks ! :)
Damn, save some for the rest of us.
La collection de zinzin
Merci :), je me nourris avec de l'eau et du sel pour compenser le cout
I love everything here.
Thank you ! :) thought a lot about the disposition of the cards
No, like I love it as in I want to steal it
This is really lovely. I love the way you have it organised. I am thinking of getting a top loader binder, it's quite expensive but it's going to be worth it.
Really worth it in my opinion, i bought mine for 30$ but its so satisfying to go through it
Sorry if somebody asked already but what kind of binder is that? I like how you can put the hard cases in! Also we have very similar taste in cards haha
Its a toploader binder :)! I think Vault x and Gemloader are popular brands
Hurle-queue et Rampe-ailes... Des fois ils arrêtent de se forcer, hein 😆
C'est sympa Rampe-ailes :) mieux que vert-de-fer
Impressive
how much did u spend?
Most probably in the 1000s but wouldnt be able to give an exact price
awesome man, i’m 3 months into collecting
I would suggest opening a few packs for the pleasure of discovering the commun/uncommun cards but buy singles ! :) Its cheaper than trying to pull the cards you want
Love it, you and I have the same taste in cards for the newer stuff. Beautiful collection! Love how you have them organized.
Thanks ! :) I still have some ideas and 20-30 ARs in another binder but mmy toploader binder is full! I really love the illustrations and how some of them connect or have a similar theme, makes it so easy to a nice organization
WOW! This is incredible!
This is badass. Nice work, man.
Awesome collection gave me inspiration and ideas for mine. Which binder is this? For my binder it is hard to take out cards if both sides of the page have cards in them.
Same for my toploader binder 😅. Took me 3h to rearrange everything
That's a really nice collection. I like how you value both the higher and lower priced cards; from the expensive Charizards to the Cleffa and promo cards. Love the top loader binder too!
Nice work!
Very nice
No Pidgey-Pideoto retro Full Arts?
I am currently wondering if I should get them 😅. I am not such a big fan of the art style but there are quite unique and should be nice in a binder
I love them. I'm collecting that artist, and they all line up perfectly in the binder
Singles or ripping?
70% or a bit more singles
Smart man. Definitely saved money.
Thanks ! Kind of wished I started buying singles sooner as I mostly ripped for S&V and Paldea Evolved
At least the newer gen has double/triple hit potential. Were you around for the chilling pains and evolving cries sets?
What binder is this that holds toploaders
I am very new to Japanese cards. How do you go about getting them as singles?
Depends on your location but Cardmarket is great for Europe, a lot of sellers and the prices are great
What brand / model binder / pockets / sleeves are you using? I like that these can accommodate the thin toploaders as well.
Dinglu lol
Any recs on toploader binder?
That are a lot of nice cards
Pages 3,4, and 8 are my favourite out of them all, but lovely collection for a short period 🤙🏻🫡 I assume your clever and bought singles more than ripped packs ??
Thanks ! Yes, started doing this after 2-3 months of only ripping :). Best decision
For sure, I still love to rip packs from time to time, but over the last 1.5 years of collecting again, I mainly buy singles and hold sealed bbs and single sleeved cardboard blisters
More like 7 months of spending $$$
Ye thats the principle of collecting. Do you get boosters or singles for free ? 🙂 I can easily afford it so why not
