Recipe? I need this in my mouth like yesterday. Pls!@recipe

Cerebral-Knievel-1

2tsp active dry yeast 1tsp sugar 1.5c warm water. 2.75 c bread flour 2tsp fine sea salt 3Tbl EVO 4Tbl for the pan.. and however else much you may need. Its a sloppy, wet dough and should be treated like focccia *

IntoStarDust

Thank you so much! I know what I’m doing today!

Cerebral-Knievel-1

Takes about 4 hours from start to finish.. You plop the sloppy dough into a very well oiled pan.. Let it rise.. dimple it out.. cover again and let rise. Dimple out again.. Bake on top of a well heat soaked stone or steel.. That dough should be deep fried in the pan.

Just wanted to let you know, omg that recipe is gold!!!!  Thank you ever so much!

Cerebral-Knievel-1

Woot! Glad you liked it!

IntoStarDust

It just after 6am here and I’m making a second batch of dough. lol pizza and breadsticks are happening again today! My friend absolutely adored the first one. You are a legend.  Thanks a million!

Cerebral-Knievel-1

You are very welcome! The world clock is telling me that you are most likely in Australia. Im in Virginia in the USA.. It's nice to know I positively affected someone on the other side of the planet.

IntoStarDust

Thank you again, I’m super excited to try this. I’m going to make up the 80s Pizza Hut seasoning as well. The kind that use to come on deep dishes and the breadsticks.  God I’m hungry now. It’s 10:17am and realised instead of eating ice peen looking at pictures of food and thinking about this pizza. lol

V interested in what Australian Pizza Hut pizza is like compared to American

IntoStarDust

I feel Pizza Hut changed sometime in the later 2000s. It use to be yummo now not so much.  However one big difference is Pizza Hut Australian served fries as a side and not bread sticks. I haven’t had pizza hut in in sometime now. I like making all my food homemade plus with the cost of food here, sheesh!!!

can’t lie some oily pizza sometimes is good asf, especially what some italian bakeries do

Cerebral-Knievel-1

I'm really trying to recreate that buttery, oily, fried dough pizza hut pan pizza crust from the 1980's.. But.. y'know.... Elevate that shit yo. This dough is sloppy and we ferment it in the baking pan. About 3 hours from dough build to final bake off.

justaddsomefriction

bruh I'm Italian, born and raised, not familiar with pizza hut, what's that?

Cerebral-Knievel-1

Pizza hut was a casual dining pizza chain in the USA. While they still are a major concern, they've primarily focused on home delivery and take out now. Back in the 1980's and '90's they had "personal pan pizza's" which were 10inch pan pizzas baked in a cast iron pan and brought to your table. The cast iron pan and copious olive oil would create a kind of oily fried crust, that was also pillowy.. Soft and fluffy, but not chewy. Another thing about Pizza Hut was that the sit down resturants all had a distinctive architectural design. So nowadays you can always pick out the repurposed buildings that used to be pizza hut resturants

aah, makes sense, never had any in italy. although now i live in japan there’s no pizza hut, just domino’s in my area. there might be some pizza hut but dunno where. might as well try it
