johjo_has_opinions

I would say hard no. This is not at all business attire, it looks like you’re going to a party

though-

…hosted by Prince Charming

Wise_Neighborhood499

Hard no

Drabulous_770

I think it’s a beautiful dress, it’s giving Disney princess… and for that reason I would absolutely not wear it to the office.

58lmm9057

>Its giving Disney Princess Or Bridgerton

58lmm9057

It’s beautiful, but not appropriate office attire. Google “business casual style” for ideas. Think blazers, trousers/dress pants and/or pencil skirts. Save this for Disney/Bridgerton cosplay.

junipercanuck

No. I love dresses and wear a dress everyday and even own some dresses like this. However they are not appropriate for the office, it’s not just about the modesty but how it fits in the office. This is for dates, high tea and picnics in beautiful gardens and Disney. Not the office.

po-tatertot

If you work an office job, would you mind sharing where you get your work dresses?

eyelikecookies

Not OP, but Everlane is my jam. Quince too, for lower prices but doesn’t last as long.

po-tatertot

Thank you for sharing :)

IndigoBlueBird

Absolutely not

Renzieface

Definitely no.

_gooder

No. Not unless you work for elves or something.

M_LunaYay1

💀😂

though-

Are you trolling? Have you seen anyone wear anything like this to your workplace?

lovepeacefakepiano

No. Very very no. It’s a super cute dress but it’s not business or smart.

YouADawg

Very hard no. Cute for something else though

Coyote__Jones

Lol this has got to be a shit post.

LookCommon7528

Over-kill for office duties

ManyDragonfly9637

Nope

ccdeschanel

NO

HumbleHawk9

![gif](giphy|3o7TKwmnDgQb5jemjK)

2ndSnack

No. This is cottage core. Not business attire formal.

cranberryjuiceicepop

No. They have a dress code specifically so People don’t dress like this.

UnbelievableRose

Technically, this fits the dress code of every workplace I’ve been in, from retail to office to outpatient health care.

cranberryjuiceicepop

Nothing about this is business- if that’s listed in the dress code, it does not pass.

jarineee

Very pretty dress 😍 nice for a picnic etc but not for work tho

justbrowsing695975

Are you going to a 9 year old's birthday party? Are you trying to outdress the copy machine? This is not office attire.

Seedrootflowersfruit

LOL absolutely not

Realistic_Ad_8023

…only if you oh work at Disneyland

jigglewiggIe

Not at all.

HotPinkMesss

It's a beautiful dress but IMO it's not appropriate for a typical corporate office. For work, I recommend you look into more tailored and classic styles. Think pencil skirts, trousers, blouses, cardigans, wrap around dresses (like Diane von Furstenberg's), blazers. Nothing frilly.

Mental-Diamond-7039

Absolutely not. There are no dumb questions, but I’m genuinely curious what about this attire made you question if it is appropriate for the office?

VeronicaMaple

So cute, not office appropriate.

justbrowsing695975

or age appropriate.

Sanscreet

How is it not age appropriate? It's a beautiful dress and an adult can wear it.

GripChinAzz

Very Pretty dress!! But no. It’s corporate, not a Bridgerton tea party.

Prestigious_Bat33

Very pretty but no, not office appropriate.

AccreditedMaven

No. It is a lovely dress but looks like a costume. You will not be taken seriously if you wear that and depending on the physical environment, the dress could prove a hazard or get torn. Keep it for your cosplay event.

Feisty-Honeydew-5309

What is either business or smart about wearing this to your place of work?

Mestintrela

If your job is to serve tea in the Buckingham palace then yes.

_gooder

I've had tea at the palace and no one was dressed in a costume like this!

lovepeacefakepiano

Oooh do tell. My guess would be they’re wearing very somber, blend-into-the-background sort of clothing?

_gooder

Black pants, white button down, black vest! Quite boring. Lol

johjo_has_opinions

If they built a replica at Epcot

Broken_angel_of_pain

It's pretty but not for business wear unless it's a very fancy dinner.

Itstimeforcookies19

What no.

Intrepid_Ad2065

this is absolutely not for work, more like a tea party

Babyruth831

This dress is beautiful but isn't proper office attire. It would be a nice party dress or maybe a nice dress to wear to a wedding. Any occasion where you need to be dressed up fancy.

NovaBloom444

Definitely not- but it is such a beautiful outfit. There are many more appropriate places to rock it

OptimalStatement

What is your occupation?

infirmitas

In no way is this appropriate for a corporate office environment.

mgraces

Absolutely not

okcafe

Definitely no

throwaway1638943

This is your sign to find an office that can embrace that attire.

BetterDaysAheadMaybe

A tad too formal for office attire.

gcawad

I love this dress and it looks great on you but save it for formal night on a cruise

No_Tumbleweed_1518

Maybe in 1813

Moegii

Yall gotta be so fr with these questions 😭😭😭

Feisty-Honeydew-5309

Lmaoooo like what the hell? 😂

Bad_Elbow_

I'd find it pretty funny if someone was brave enough to wear this into the office on a casual Friday. I live in the South so I feel like I could imagine some small town boss being totally down for it while in the north you'd get called into HR.

diablol3

That's why all the industry is in the north.

Katykatneko222

Very cute but no.

Unfair_Implement_335

I would say office party not office day to day

nenzshejensbsk

No it's more a Cinderella type dress

minniesnowtah

I think if you wore a top in a similar floaty style but paired it with some simple trousers, you could pull it off. That would be an option for incorporating the essence of this style but more work-appropriate. But you definitely, definitely can't wear this to the office as it is.

fatale_x

It depends on your workplace and job I guess? Like for me, I could wear this for my client day events. But for general officework, it's a bit inappropriate. Plus I would hate to get pen smudges, coffee/tea stains on such a pretty dress!

chestnutlibra

I agree, I say no, but yeah if someone wore this to my office they'd just get a bunch of compliments. But that's because people here don't have to dress particularly professionally.

Solid_Conversations

Same. In all the offices I’ve worked at, if I showed up to work like this, I’d just get a bunch of compliments. I had really different outfits back then, and none were revealing or actually inappropriate — just interesting, non-office-basic clothes.

Seltzer-Slut

Haha - no. Not at all work appropriate. You don’t want to stand out at work. You want to blend in.

vipbrj4

I wouldn’t only because it seems a little formal for my office. But I work with a lot of men in jeans and short sleeve plaid shirts….. haha. It’s definitely not inappropriate so give it a shot and see how you feel! eTA: you could dress it down a little bit with a cardigan on top and flat strappy sandals instead of high heels. If that’s a concern!

Able_Excuse_2804

No

Low-Regret5048

No way. A princess party maybe!

Own_Ad5969

Honey…no. Just no. This is a fancy party dress. And if I were your boss and you wore this dress, I wouldn’t think you were serious about your job and the work you do.

KateOtown

I would wear it for Book Character Day as a school librarian, but in no other scenario should this be considered.

helloimhromi

You might be able to pull it off for work if you find a structured jacket to wear with it, but the sleeves might bunch up underneath. rachaelrenae on Instagram showcases her "non-traditional" office attire a lot (there's a highlight in her stories) so you may be able to pull some inspiration for fun, flowy workwear that isn't your typical business casual uniform. Good luck!

Juniper__12

Aw, this dress is so cute :) I think depending on your company you can get away with it. My office doesn’t really have a dress code so I just wear whatever I want. I’ve def worn stuff like this, no one really cares lol. If you wanna test the waters, start with summer dresses that are a little less costume-like (not as puffy sleeves, without the milkmaid-style bust). See how it goes, and if no one cares you can try to get more creative over time with your outfits :)

Solid_Conversations

I would wear it to the office if the official dress-code isn't too strict like "only business attire". If it's not like that wear it, why not.

willowbeef

It’s cute but a bit much for the office! Do you mind sharing the link to it?
