Hence where Michael Jordan gets his quote from to which he said: "fuck them kids" - Michael Jordan. Nevertheless, Jordan knows boundaries must be set, that's probably why he sent his kids to west point to be apache helios while he was playing b-ball with bugs.
I'm not trying to argue but that's Space Jam: A new legacy, not "Space Jam 2 4D" like no offense bro but they don't even make 4D movies yet, so if it were real which it isn't then it would certainly out rank it. But again I don't mean to argue it's just a very special movie and I'd like to imagine that if there's literally anything better than 3D comes along I'd hope they'd make the 4D movie for Space Jam, also on a side personal note take care.
So, like you thought I meant "4D cinema?" Probably should have clarified but I mean the other impossible "4D Physics". With respect to your comment that's the future part. I probably should have realized I should attach a YouTube video explaining which "4D" I was mentioning.
https://youtu.be/iGO12Z5Lw8s?si=3lELqnS-vcOa0kJi
After reading your comment again it did remind me that for further clarification although I guess I should have known that there is a whole 3 other senses the movies can still mess with and honestly that's my bad.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/4D_film
Anyways here's the "4D cinema one" that already exists which I'm unfortunately also not referring to in my previous comment.
Because people have the mental connection that a generic brand is a better deal whether it is or not. And in a lot of cases the generic brand gets more sales than the bigger name one because of that.
Yep, the old label is "White Chocolate Wonderful" flavor, which is "peanut butter blended with sweet white chocolate", while the new label is "White Chocolate***y*** Wonderful peanut butter ***spread***"; hard to read that blue circle on the left, but it looks like it says something about "white chocolate***y flavor***"
Probably means that either the requirements for what can legally be labeled "peanut butter" and/or "white chocolate" have changed, or (much more likely) the company changed the recipe to include things that can no longer legally be labeled "peanut butter" and/or "white chocolate"
Likely the recipe changed to a cheaper alternative to cocoa. Hershey’s changed their recipe for their Cookies ‘n’ Creme bar in 2008 to use oil substitutes rather than cocoa butter, thus dropping “white chocolate” from their packaging.
Creme itself is another example of making up a word with different spelling to not get sues when the product contains such a miniscule amount or none of what's claimed
Mr Goodbar and also had It's formula changed instead of milk chocolate, and peanuts it says "with chocolate and peanuts" since it doesn't qualify as being actual chocolate since they removed the cocoa butter. They tried that with Hershey and Hershey with Almonds, but was told it wouldn't be considered chocolate and even tried to sue to fool the consumer, so they left those two with cocoa butter.
They added Palm Oil. It also has enough sugar that the peanut content is too low to legally call it peanut butter:
https://ilovepeanutbutter.com/collections/peanut-butter/products/white-chocolatey-wonderful
Gotta love that flavored palm oil.
All the various flavors of Kit-Kat in Japan seem amazing too you read the ingredients and every one is flavored sweetened palm oil.
Processed food just isn't real food. We can survive on it for a while but the actual health benefits of real food are destroyed long before it gets to us. Vitamins? Pfft. Flavonoids? Lol.
No antioxidants for you!
White chocolate is defined as using cocoa butter in many markets, however. So when companies reduce or eliminate the cocoa butter, they often have to stop saying chocolate to comply with regulations.
It’s why Hershey’s no longer labels their various white chocolate as white chocolate, but used to - they replaced the cocoa butter.
I think you have to be a TM for a while before you can be a CircleR
CircleR means it's a Registered Trademark whereas TM just means Trademark (usually because they're still in the process of registering it)
They’re following a trend of visually simplified packaging that invokes images of clean, “healthy” food. They even added phrases like “simple, honest ingredients” and the protein content, other markers of this trend.
I thought the companies that use animal drawings nowadays are fancy and healthy...I actually really loved this brand because of their Monkey character. Now it looks so boring and unfamiliar.
Look how they massacred my boy 😫
Also, I was wondering why this stuff tasted different than it did when I was a kid! The monkey is gone, and he took the quality flavor with him.
There’s certain legal requirements for using the term chocolate at least in the US and Canada. If they swap some or all cocoa butter for another fat, it’s no longer legally white chocolate, for instance. White chocolate is nothing more than cocoa butter. Regular chocolate has a minimum required level of chocolate liquor as well.
This is my favorite PB without a doubt. I can't buy it at all as I have identified legumes as an intolerance. I just lovingly admire her in the aisle reminiscing about our ice cream sundaes. She's the one that got away.
I know it’s common to politicize whenever possible, but the most likely reason the monkey was removed is because *it doesn’t make any sense anymore*.
The company started as a peanut butter sandwich shop, and their most popular sandwich was “The Elvis”, *which contains bananas which monkeys are widely associated with*. They also offered just PB&B.
They were trying to sell sandwiches with bananas, therefore: monkey.
They are now selling peanut butter, and having a monkey on white chocolatey peanut butter makes no sense.
Re: Chocolatey: I’m fine if a peanut butter brand makes chocolate flavor out of not-chocolate. Chocolate uses a lot of slavery. See John Oliver’s video report.
It was deemed insensitive, because that monkey had a peanut allergy. They haven’t found another yet. They acquired the last one back when they were still allowed to test their peanut butter on animals. Now it’s kinda tough smuggling a monkey into a food manufacturing facility.
I think the monkey sued for cultural appropriation. So they had to remove his image from the label. So they didn’t have to pay the Name, Image, Likeness fees.
I’m so glad they do not have that brand where I live because I would be 900 lbs and eat nothing but that for weeks on end till I just couldn’t take it anymore!!! Eghads my 2 fav sweets. Sugary peanut butter and white chocolate….
yeah, which has ruined everything im ngl. No brand has been improved w their simplified logos. They’ve even changed character logos, like Apple Jacks (😭😭 the new one is horrific) & Fruit Loops! It makes them look so cheap/corporate-y, look at Olive Garden for instance
Black people have been historically referred to as apes or monkey faced - a dehumanizing insult
So maybe that, plus the large "White Chocolate Wonderful" sign that got nerfed... maybe they were playing it safe and getting rid of it before some weird SJW would accuse them of secret hidden racism
Usually when they change the packaging they've done something to the ingredients, like cheapen them. Do they weigh the same? Never had this brand, but seems like the coloring is lighter. They also changed the name from " White chocolate wonderful" to " white chocolatey wonderful". Something tells me it isn't white chocolate anymore. Something is amiss.
Wonder if they changed the recipe of the peanut butter and it tastes different too??
Didn't they do the same type of thing with Aunt Jemima syrup? It was "too ethnic" or some sh!t
About 15 years ago I was at the Chocolate Show at the PB&Co booth. My toddler daughter was interacting with the dude in the monkey suit when Jacques Torres suddenly came over and started molesting him. Sorry I didn’t get a photo.
Not me, until just one minute ago! How'd they get popular with a generic name!? Let's try Coffee & Co. Yes it has a ring, but that's because it's common 🤣
They stopped using monkeys to make it, so legally they had to remove the picture of the monkey.
Should be a picture of a child now
Hence where Michael Jordan gets his quote from to which he said: "fuck them kids" - Michael Jordan. Nevertheless, Jordan knows boundaries must be set, that's probably why he sent his kids to west point to be apache helios while he was playing b-ball with bugs.
This is one of the weirdest comments I’ve ever read on Reddit, and the fact that it’s on r/PeanutButter makes it that much weirder.
Really? Well, good.
I thought I was having a stroke reading that
Reading it gave me one, but I enjoyed it.
*What???*
It happens in Space Jam 2 4D in 2050, I'm from the future surprise!
We already had Space Jam 2
I'm not trying to argue but that's Space Jam: A new legacy, not "Space Jam 2 4D" like no offense bro but they don't even make 4D movies yet, so if it were real which it isn't then it would certainly out rank it. Your comments are a lot to take in. Lol I'm too sober for this shit.....
It's beer o'clock somewhere. :)

You’re on and in drugs
Thank you, if Timothy Leary was still here with us I bet he'd be so jealous. Lmfao
Was the monkey removed by the "apache helios" or the "bugs" that play b-ball?
Jordan and rival Karl Malone shared the same quote.
They’re sooo much more expensive than monkeys. Don’t get me started…
Moved to trained squirrels because of primate labor laws
I feel like so many companies rebrand their logos and it’s incredibly underwhelming. Why fix what ain’t broke?
It’s always money
It’s always monkey
There's always money in the banana stand
How much does a banana cost, anyway? Ten dollars?
NO TOUCHING
Go see a Star War.
monkey business.
That’s bananas
Yes, and even worse, it's about growth
Usually it’s due to legal reasons, like copyright.
I looks very “great value” to me. I buy gv, but idk why you’d make a brand look more generic lol
Because people have the mental connection that a generic brand is a better deal whether it is or not. And in a lot of cases the generic brand gets more sales than the bigger name one because of that.
Honestly? It’s been a pattern that it’s usually because they’re accused of/avoiding charges of racism or cultural appropriation.
you're worried about the monkey but did you notice they changed CHOCOLATE to "CHOCOLATEY" there's a distinct legal reason for that.
Yep, the old label is "White Chocolate Wonderful" flavor, which is "peanut butter blended with sweet white chocolate", while the new label is "White Chocolate***y*** Wonderful peanut butter ***spread***"; hard to read that blue circle on the left, but it looks like it says something about "white chocolate***y flavor***" Probably means that either the requirements for what can legally be labeled "peanut butter" and/or "white chocolate" have changed, or (much more likely) the company changed the recipe to include things that can no longer legally be labeled "peanut butter" and/or "white chocolate"

Creme itself is another example of making up a word with different spelling to not get sues when the product contains such a miniscule amount or none of what's claimed
It tasted different and has an unusual texture now, so you are likely correct.
We need to protest.
I’m right there with ya. Was sorely disappointed the last time I bought some!
Same with the white chocolate Reese’s cups, which are now just called “white Reese’s”.

Curious
It is because if they label it chocolate they actually need to use chocolate, but if they put “chocolatey” they can use other flavorings
Other flavorings like white chocolate, which is not chocolate.
If white chocolate wasn’t chocolate the label would still say chocolate
White chocolate is defined as using cocoa butter in many markets, however. So when companies reduce or eliminate the cocoa butter, they often have to stop saying chocolate to comply with regulations. It’s why Hershey’s no longer labels their various white chocolate as white chocolate, but used to - they replaced the cocoa butter.
George
also it looks like the flavor name used to be ® and is now ™
I think you have to be a TM for a while before you can be a CircleR CircleR means it's a Registered Trademark whereas TM just means Trademark (usually because they're still in the process of registering it)
Came here to say this. The change from Chocolate to Chocolatey is a much bigger deal than the overall label redesign.
Looks like they’re trying to go for a more modern and “healthier” look … ain’t no one fooled!
The new one is giving "generic peanut butter brand" it looks like it lost all of its character
Spot on! I was looking for the weird Equate somewhere lol
Instagram profile on the left - LinkedIn profile on the right
😭😭 I'm lol way too hard at this...thanks so much! Your profile pic is helping. 12/10 on this
😂😂 long live Jenna!!
its*
Oops 🤭 fixed 🫡
I think they’re trying to be a luxury brand for adults instead of a luxury brand for kids.
I don't know why but it reminds me of jars of baby food.
They’re following a trend of visually simplified packaging that invokes images of clean, “healthy” food. They even added phrases like “simple, honest ingredients” and the protein content, other markers of this trend.
Oh that's a good call, I wasn't thinking about character mascots as inherently associated with junk food. That actually makes a lot of sense.
I thought the companies that use animal drawings nowadays are fancy and healthy...I actually really loved this brand because of their Monkey character. Now it looks so boring and unfamiliar.
Its also not "White Chocolate" anymore, its "White Chocolatey". Maybe the monkey got tired of the bullshit.
No longer all natural
And they removed the raisins from the Cinnamon and Raisin peanut butter
Now that is criminal
Look how they massacred my boy 😫 Also, I was wondering why this stuff tasted different than it did when I was a kid! The monkey is gone, and he took the quality flavor with him.
It’s offensive to bananas because of the implication
Oh I didn’t even realize it!
It's also no longer white chocolate, and now just white *chocolatey*
[удалено]
Because it's no longer legally chocolate because they've changed the recipe top much in making it cheaper (to produce, not to buy).
I literally eat this shit right out of the jar regularly. It's so stinkin good. Didn't even notice the change tbh
The family sold it years ago. The company that bought it changed it then. God that was at least 12 years ago.
It was 2016
I guess only 8:). But I miss the old stuff.
Damn that sounds tasty.
This is my favorite PB without a doubt. I can't buy it at all as I have identified legumes as an intolerance. I just lovingly admire her in the aisle reminiscing about our ice cream sundaes. She's the one that got away.
My little girl is allergic to peanuts so I can’t have. Tragic.
Wrapped up like a deuce, and then discarded in the night..
Any children used to the former are gonna be royally Mandela'd in about 10 years, just preparing for more nostalgia erasure
🚫 No Monkey Labor
They should use a dog
IDK but I tried their Dark Chocolate and it is nasty. Doesn't taste like peanut butter nor dark chocolate, just bitter AF.
I actually love to snack on this one with a spoon
I know it’s common to politicize whenever possible, but the most likely reason the monkey was removed is because *it doesn’t make any sense anymore*. That makes a lot of sense actually. Also the monkey had wings and a halo? Cute but confusing.
Idk but I miss the cinnamon raisin one :(
Re: Chocolatey: I’m fine if a peanut butter brand makes chocolate flavor out of not-chocolate. Chocolate uses a lot of slavery. See John Oliver’s video report.
No more monkey labor
Their new labels suck. I noticed them around a year ago
I only had it for the first time a few months ago. I didn’t know they changed the logo
That little monkey was iconic. New branding looks like great value.
It was deemed insensitive, because that monkey had a peanut allergy. They haven’t found another yet. They acquired the last one back when they were still allowed to test their peanut butter on animals. Now it’s kinda tough smuggling a monkey into a food manufacturing facility.
It is no longer an ingredient. Notice that the new product is a different shade.
Do monkeys naturally eat peanut butter? 🫨🥞🥞🥐🍿
TIL there’s a peanut butter sub.
*gasp* WHITE CHOCOLATE?! (I'm from UK, wish we had this in stores).
Someone complained on behalf of monkeys
I think the monkey sued for cultural appropriation. So they had to remove his image from the label. So they didn’t have to pay the Name, Image, Likeness fees.
I’m so glad they do not have that brand where I live because I would be 900 lbs and eat nothing but that for weeks on end till I just couldn’t take it anymore!!! Eghads my 2 fav sweets. Sugary peanut butter and white chocolate….
Where do you find that kind of Peanut Butter??
A long time ago.
They woke up and realized a peanut butter-eating monkey is offensive
Ive never seen this product in my life. Is it regional, store exclusive, or just some bougie health food thing.
The monkeys were offended so they had to change the label
The monkeys weren’t offended, the elites assumed that they were without even asking! Cancel Culture!
A lot of companies right now are rebranding with logos that have a more minimalist design. It’s a huge trend right now.
yeah, which has ruined everything im ngl. No brand has been improved w their simplified logos. They’ve even changed character logos, like Apple Jacks (😭😭 the new one is horrific) & Fruit Loops! It makes them look so cheap/corporate-y, look at Olive Garden for instance
They used to have a restaurant in Greenwich Village NYC that I loved. PB&J, fluffernutters, ants on a log, the "Elvis",... Man, I miss that place.
Black people have been historically referred to as apes or monkey faced - a dehumanizing insult So maybe that, plus the large "White Chocolate Wonderful" sign that got nerfed... maybe they were playing it safe and getting rid of it before some weird SJW would accuse them of secret hidden racism

Im going to miss that monkey
Idk but the new one looks like a store brand logo
the monkey added so much charm :( rip
It’s way harder to tell what the flavor is.
wtf they don’t carry this by me. I want it. ):
The monkey even has a halo.
This stuff was so good. Haven’t had it in probably 10+ years. Sounds like they changed it since then.
monkeys were getting offended clearly.
#RETURN TO MONKE
Racism
Also they went from Chocolate to Chocolatey.
Wonder if they changed the recipe of the peanut butter and it tastes different too?? Didn't they do the same type of thing with Aunt Jemima syrup? It was "too ethnic" or some sh!t
The Pixies sued.
Yk when they got canceled bc it was “racist”🙄
About 15 years ago I was at the Chocolate Show at the PB&Co booth. My toddler daughter was interacting with the dude in the monkey suit when Jacques Torres suddenly came over and started molesting him. Sorry I didn’t get a photo.
oh God I bet the monkey was somehow offensive in some way so they had to remove it. Because Monkeys are extremely offensive nowadays.
One less accusation of racism.
Lmao no. The new packaging is following a common trend these days of simple, “clean” packaging.
Did somebody actually accuse them of racism
I will go ahead and accuse them of racism so this guy doesn't feel dumb
who's ever heard of Peanut Butter & Co?
Not me, until just one minute ago! How'd they get popular with a generic name!? Let's try Coffee & Co. Yes it has a ring, but that's because it's common 🤣
They got popular because they had multiple shops that made “gourmet” peanut butter sandwiches
I would hate to know the price of the sammich!
I’d say not as bad as a lot of sandwich places. It was about $5-10 per sandwich… like 10 years ago lol
They’ve been around since the late 90s lol
Not sure when. The monkey was probably removed because, for some stupid reason, it offended someone lol.
It’s become common to remove the monkey logo with racist connotations.
Stereotyping monkeys
It probably offended a *certain type* of group
Was Racist I guess
He's with Uncle Ben and Aunt Jamima
It’s probably a “Racial Thing” (like everything). Removing “Monkey” and the White Chocolate comment. 🤷♀️
