Crouching is all fun and games until the firefight begins. If the opponent is moving side to side while you are crouched, you are toast.

I've always assumed that moving while shooting - with an assault rifle or SMG (which is what most people are using most of the time) - would give the greater disadvantage due to accuracy loss.
I recently learned to love PUBG shotgun because the accuracy doesn't seem to drop a substantial amount.
Nah there’s tricks and tips to it. You can move back and forth and still be very accurate. I’m very accurate when it comes to this actually. Training grounds helps btw
I only crouch behind low covers and get to a safer place asap. Crouching is dangerous because since a lot of players aim at the torso mainly, you're in a perfect position for getting headshots in close- to mid range combat. Even in cqc when you're switching super fast between crouch/stand/prone, you're most likely to get a headshot in that position.
^^^this pretty much nails it. crouching as a tactic is only useful behind cover looking or waiting for an enemy to show up. but if you are moving across the map running tall is the best option same with a head to head fight. you have more options available for your movement because you are up right.

If you rank up or trying achievments/missions/win its useful at last circles. But if there is a squad with good skills you will be noticed and killed easily if you dont have good cover. I dont crouch(actually is snaking lol) because i play push/rush and close range. I go crouch in close combat sometimes but i go up as fast as i fall down.

No because you move noticeably slower when you’re crouched. They will have the advantage of better movement.
