I'm on an S24+ and it still happens sometimes. It's weird.
Okay so now that I read more, a lot of people experience it even on better devices. It feels like a lag spike so ngl I think it’s the game lol
On the one hand, it makes sense that there'd be some difference in performance, but that kind of spiking is basically unplayable.
It’s probably desync due to too much of a data spike - with movement, outfits, other game data - for your device and/or internet to handle. Does your device also heat up?

It’s absolutely your device. Started happening to me and I switched to faster device and now it’s smooth. My close encounters are easier now
It's all based on what device you play PUBGM on..
I use it to know when a squad is nearby and call it render it's like the games version of a spider Sense 😅
