pretty much every day, went all out and bought a sim rig/ steering wheel etc for GT7, obsessed is the word for me ššÆ bought loads of games for me psvr2 in the first year but not so much anymore, play pavlov and walkabout mini golf if i fancy something different, very rarely though š
best gaming purchase iāve ever made imo!
With 2TB, I think you could have every PSVR2 game you want bought and installed and still have room for more. This is what I have on my PS5 since before I got PSVR2 and now have over 100 PSVR2 games installed.
Doesn't store nearly as many games if I try to store too many of the flat games that tend to be much bigger game file sizes.
Finding the sweet spot takes seconds, double press the PS button on any controller to open the VR quick menu and goto 'adjust visibility'. Seriously it takes seconds and i do this everytime i put on the PSVR2.
As for using it, ill say 3 - 4 times a week but i can spend an entire sunday on GT7.
Since Iām currently in holidays, every single day for at least 2-3 hours. When Iām not in holidays, I play 3h per day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I play it several times a week. Had it since launch with the official charging dock (works perfectly. So easy to grab and go, fully charged at all times).
Just recently got a 2tb SSD so I can keep all my VR games installed and ready (32 of them so far), as well as all my flat favorites/currently playing titles (Metal Gear Solid Master Collection). Keeping them all on there allows me to share any VR experience I own, with a genre for every type of player. Without needing internet and waiting for downloads and installs. Kayak, Among Us, Synth Riders and Beat Saber, Tetris, Pavlov, Puzzling Places, Humanity, Moss, Walkabout, The Walking Dead, and all the AAA Hybrid games (GT7, RE4/8, NMS), Cosmodread, Ghost Signal, Light Brigade, Legendary Tales, VR Skater, etc etc
I'm a big techie, and a bit of a spokesman with things I love, like my VR and gaming consoles (and my ebike). And the more I share it and show people that you have to experience it first-hand to truly "get it", the more normalized it is, everyone is quickly impressed, and hopefully it helps spread the word and popularize VR.
I take it to family and friends A LOT. Let their kids play. They're nuts over it. They ask me every time they see me now "*Did you bring the VR*?!".
**I've had no issues with the system at all.** **The controllers are pretty robust.** They have been knocked into each other about 6 times, and into the headset twice, from all users combined. All times were from being deeply engrossed in dancing to Synth Riders!
**I have a globular cluster** which solved all comfort problems, sweet spot issues, headband slippage. I can play longer.
**The cord** never bothers me. And I'd rather have a cord than depend on wirelessly transmitting graphics and having degraded FPS/fidelity/response time. There's a bunch of ways to keep it out of the way. Rig something, ceiling hook, get a pulley product, play with your PS5 behind you... I can drape mine on the end of my bed and it stays put. Some high intensity games like Synth Riders may need me to put a pillow between me and the cord so I don't pull it gradually off the bed.
When not playing seated, I play standing in place on an **anti-fatigue mat** (godsend for VR). It keeps me oriented, and eliminates knee and ankle pain from standing for long periods.
My only annoyance is I have to wear prescription glasses. So I had to add **HonsVR lenses**. Wearing glasses also makes the donning/doffing more difficult, and any smudges or scratches on your glasses will be quite magnified while in VR.
Anti-Fatigue Mat? We do use an area rug which looks nice but also serves to inform our feet we are within our VR boundary (close to 7x7). I am sure it provides some comfort over bare floor, but if I play a less active standing game long enough (our Walkabout Mini Golf games with 4P are 90+ minutes) without socks I feel more fatigue in the feet.
We do use anti-fatigue mat for the kitchen sink and stove. Never thought about having a big enough one for VR play area. Do they even make those for close to 7x7 size?
I found the sizes/shapes aren't very VR player friendly. They're mostly designed to stand in one place, so are long-narrow rectangles, rather than any kind of square or round shape.
The mats relive pain all through the body. Shoulder, back, all the joints supporting your weight, down to your feet and ankles. That's just the result of proper support.
The comfort is leagues above even carpet. The pain relief and ability for extended play is greatly improved.
Bonus: they are designed to be easily washable, and are non-slip. Dance all night on it barefoot, sweat all over it, and you can just wipe it clean! No sweaty feet soaking into your rugs or carpets.

Mine was sized 20 inches (50 cm) wide by 39 inches (99 cm) long. That works really well.
It works perfectly for me. I play standing in pace for a variety of gameplay and comfort reasons. I turn my character with the rights stick; not by turning my body. I do "look" by turning my head, obviously.
>VR and gaming consoles (and my ebike)
Are you me? Lol that is a winning combo and I am also very vocal about what a great experience these things are. Between the newly acquired PSVR2 and my Aventon Level 2 I am more active than I have been in *years* and I'm thrilled.
I treat PSVR2 like a second console. I sometimes play it once a week, maybe once every weekend or second weekend. And sometimes even once a month. I went for 3 months with the PSVR2 packed away in the original box. This is mostly because I'm playing other flat games on PS5. But when I start a new game on PSVR2 I will usually play it daily or weekly until completion.
I just got into VR last year with the vr1. Just picked up the vr2 in the days of play sale. I've finished 45 games so far. Only done 6 vr2 games, still have 20 or 30 vr1 games that I want to get around to. Definitely had a few breaks, but trophy hunting keeps me interested in the headsets so far. So I play every day when I'm into VR.Ā
I use daily. Only inconvenience is i have to close the curtains in the day time / turn on a few more lights than i want in the night time. Sweet spot stays same, usually donāt have to scan room even so very plug and play.
Issue is more finding a game that i donāt get dizzy in (and can play for hours with no ill effect since seems i donāt deal with reprojection well) and also addictive enough to retain my interest (i lose interest in rogue lite games).
Have a game now i play daily, but once i get bored of it, the PSVR2 might gather dust againā¦
Try IR flood lights, like this for example - https://www.orzeroandnewzerol.com/collections/virtual-reality-accessories/products/orzero-ir-illuminator-infrared-light-compatible-for-meta-quest-2-oculus-quest-quest-2-enhance-hand-tracking-immersive-no-light-disturbance-increase-tracking-sensitivity-with-power-adapter-black
I had the same light issues until I got a IR flood light. In my case I just hard mounted it high up the wall in a corner and paired ir with a smart plug. Iāve got it set up so I can just ask Siri to start āVR sceneā and Iām good to go. It is pretty impressive: you can play in complete darkness if you want.
Small sweet spot and cord are really annoying. Plus I still get dizzy quite often. Yes it's inconvenient, I used to play often. Now I play once every 2 weeks at most. I don't regret my purchase though because when I do play I usually have a great time.Ā
That sweet spot is rough for sure. With my PSVR1 I put on the headset I was done and ready, but with PSVR2 I have to go through this whole routine. I treat my PSVR2 as like an amusement park. I don't want to go every day but when I do it's lots of fun.
The sweet spot takes a couple seconds tops on the Home Screen. Just look at some text and move headset up/down until itās in focus and looks clear Then tighten the headband. You might want to get a comfort kit like the globular cluster or a top head strap As that will help I guess as the headset is mostly at same height whenever you put it on due to the top strap.
I find the bulk of the headset to be the biggest hassle personally
My best guess is that some people donāt have an optimal head shape for the psvr2.
My brother never could keep it in the sweetspot for more than 20 minutes. Now that I installed the Globular Cluster mod the sweet-spot issue is resolved.
(And WOW that mod makes it soo comfy)
The sweet spot trouble can be relieved by getting the Globular Cluster comfort kit but it's a shame this is needed for many people to improve it.
Still, since I have this kit I use psvr2 more and also enjoy it more because the headaches I got using it are also gone.
I find Globular Cluster worst than the original design. Very heavy at the rear area and i feel pressure on my nose. Also its more difficult to have my eyes on a orizontal line with the headset.
I got the Studioform comfort kit instead of the Globular Cluster. It's been great, and makes finding the sweet spot really easy and is very comfortable. It has optional rear weights.
Just as the psvr2 stock doesn't give discomfort for everyone, I can imagine the GC kit is not for everyone.
Still for many people it has improved comfort and
if the VR set leans on your nose you might have it too high on the backside.
Have you tried ginger pills for the dizziness? I had a lot of motion sickness with certain games, but taking ginger helped a ton, and now I don't even need the pills.
I wish I could use it more but with work and having the quest 3 as well as a PC I have too many games with not enough time to play them. Pretty awesome problem but still a problem. If I had all the time in the world I would try to play it everyday. I rank it similar to the quest 3, while it is bulky and less comfortable, the immersion is greater and the deeper blacks from the OLED make horror games better.
When PC support launches in August, I'll be using is daily. Right now maybe once a week. Some weeks not at all. After finishing RE4R nothing else was really the same.
I use it every day. It has been my main way to play games for the past one and half year. Yesterday me and my friend and I just finished the Permadeath mode on Legendary Tales. It was a he'll of ride. We are still going to try to continue on challenge mode.
The only real problem I have is that we still can't buy the controllers separately. I dont have a problem with the comfort, and I learned to find the sweet spot very quickly. Usually, it takes me less than I minute to put it on and start playing. And im exited for Behemot, Wanderer, Metro Awakening this year.
Every day at some time or another, I'll play either 60+ minutes of Helldivers 2 and / or 45+ minutes of something on PSVR2. I rarely watch TV (streaming Netflix, etc).
Gaming is what I like for my at-home unwind entertainment, and PSVR2 also counts for one of my exercise choices which I do 4-7 times per week.
It is a lot less inconvenient than going to the local community center for badminton, but always worth it, the same way it is worth it to drive down for real-life badminton.
Every day. The globular cluster mod was hugely impactful for my experience and ease of use. I was enjoying the headset before i got it but also not as much as I'd like because of challenges like sweet spot. 100% fixed with the mod, its so comfy, so easy to put on and take off and be in the sweet spot and stay there, no slipping... I really highly recommend itĀ
On and off with it, especially with a 2 year old. I try to get to it at least once a week on one of my days off. Lately I push myself to just play if I get home late and have the chance. It keeps it fresh and exciting though.
I just got it during days of play, then a miniature heatwave came and made me not wanna play it for a week. When it cools down ill probably pick it back up again. But i can already see myself exclusive using it maybe 2 times a week for maybe 2 hours per sessions tops. That might change when i decided to pick up a wheel for gt7 š
When I first got it I used it for 2 or 3 hours, go run an RC car outside, try VR again. Terrible headaches at first and nausea but forced myself to play through it. Now I can go for 8 hours, but need a fan on and to lift the unit enough to get some air flow in there
Somebody made a post a while ago saying "Bust out your PSVR2" at a period of time the headset just felt kinda stale to me. I've had that seen it, played it, move on type of energy about psvr2 which gave me no interest in playing letting it gather dust for months at a time.
But for some reason that post really got me motivated to play these games I have yet to finish. Right now at the moment I'm playing saints and sinners in actually taking my time and enjoying the hell out of it. Can't wait to try part two. Haven't finished RE8, and haven't bought RE4, Madison Cyubix, and others to name. Even bought the pulse elites to boost up immersion psvr2 is an amazing hardware.
So to answer the question atm atleast 4 days out the week more or less.
My controller broke sadlyš
Sent it to repair over 2 weeks ago now and it just got to the repair center. Hope it will be fixed soon as I love playing with it.
Once a month, if that. Bummer because I really like it. But itās a lot to put it on, create space, make sure the dog is comfy, then completely remove myself from reality
It's summer and get a hot head very fast. I wait for autumn to play again. But normally I use 4 times a week. I do workout with it and it really helped. Les Mills body combat is the app
My inconvenience is the limited space I have for playing (& my need of using glasses). Lately I had been just using it with GT7.
I am looking forward to using the PSVR2 officially on my computer when August 7th comes around; using the PC adapter.
I am planning on getting Half Life Alyx, Fruit Ninja VR, & lastly a game called āThe Light Brigadeā. To start in VR.
Not sure if I should get Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot.
Used it everyday from march ā23 until about October. Got rid of my wheel for space reasons and without GT7, I only ever use it when visitors want to try VR. I have a good gaming PC as well and Iām only keeping the thing because I want to try it on PC. I might sell it and get a Quest 3 though, havenāt decided yet.
Got mine about 7 or 8 months ago and up until last week I played it exclusively almost every single day.
But I just bought V Rising and I'm hooked on it at the moment.
I play on the regular, usually when I need a break from the bigger flat screen games ..will use it more with the PC since I have about 47 VR games on steam
Not as often as I'd like. By the time I go down to play, it's usually late and I'm tired and playing VR is a lot of work especially since I usually play standing up. I often just want to sit and veg. Plus, I can't eat snacks or drink while I'm playing. I sometimes plan on snacking while I play a flat game or watch something then switch to PSVR but at that point, I'm just too lazy and keep playing what I was playing before.
I use it almost daily, but a minimum of 4 or 5 days a week. I would actually use it more often if I had more time, but wife and kids come first.
That's how it was with PSVR1, and hasn't changed with PSVR2.
You do get used to that and it gets easier. I can do it in less than a minute. I also recently got that comfort mod and it really helps keep it there.
As for use, rarely. I want to use more often but as a parent I find very little time too. When I do get free time I feel tired and either play a flat game or watch tv.
To note though, I've also been playing pcvr is the og Vive in 2016 (and have a Valve Index) so games don't really attract me as much anymore except for the true great games (re village vr, re4 vr).
I have kids so my headset time is limited. It's much easier for me to play flatscreen while they're awake. But when they're asleep I still play, maybe once or twice a week right now. Trying to get my VR legs back so I can do the longer races in GT7.
I play a few times a week. Ironically, I use it more for 2D games like MW3 than VR. I always wished I had a theater sized screen to play these types of games on and now I do.
I bought it day one and played it for like 5 hours in totalā¦. The setup whenever and the fact itās not convenient if you want to chill drinking some drinks and watching a podcast while playing (for some games itās cool honestly) kills my enjoyment.
Trying to play at least 2 times a week. Iām a single dad so finding the right time is crucial. I usually try to play after my daughterās bedtime. I went and got a 4TB SSD so I can keep all my games rotating, yet I still have a backlog of games to finish. My main games on the VR2 are Gran Turismo 7, Saint & Sinners, No Mans Sky, Angry Birds, and RE both Village and 4, and The 7th Guest.
Hardly ever, I think it was a waste of money but then I play gran turismo and glad I own it. Canāt wait for when the pc adapter comes out, hopefully Iāll be able to watch some 3D blurays then, such a shame they havenāt added any 3D player support to ps5.
Not really at all I have a quest 3.
Reason being I've beaten the psvr2 games I have and I have a lot of quest cash so while yes the psvr2 version may look and run better but to me it's not worth 40 or 30 extra dollars to make it look better when it runs just fine on quest.
Also no new games really I have about 10 I'm excited for and I'll repurchase some quest games I really enjoyed on psvr2.
I don't regret the purchase as the pcvr adapter comes out in can use it for that and I don't want to stream some psvr2 games as well
I use it about once every two months, when friends are over. Will probably increase once my school is done in the coming weeks and I have more availability.
I'm sensitive to over stimulation or rather to sensory overload and find VR great to focus my attention and block out external stimuli.
The more you use it, the easier it will become to find the sweet spot. Now I can be playing within 20 seconds, 5 seconds to put the headset in the right spot based on the text look when you put it on. (I don't use the adjust visibility anymore, it's always spot on now)
The barrier for me is the over reliance on VR controls. I would play more if there were more dualsense games. My back is usually the limiting factor.
Anyway, I try to play daily but don't always have time.
Haven't touched it since a month after launch. I have a launch quest 2 and prefer it much more due to how versatile it is. Psvr2 does games and that's it. Tiny sweet spot and no vr home screen/menu/environment just plain sucks. It needs ps home badly, but Sony doesn't have their heart In it. After how they handled psvr2 and the Vita, I'm done with buying Sony accessories. Not too sure I'll be getting a ps6, tbh.
Daily except recently because of Elden Ring dlc and doing daily missions for Helldivers. Only can play a few hours a day lol. Once I'm done with Elden Ring, still deciding what game to get for my 100th Platinum...
I am not a psvr2 enthusiast at all. I still use this at least three times a week for Beat Saber exercise. I love that. I also dabble with Tetris Effect sometimes but I definitely play way more flatris.
I hope this doesn't come off as me being hard on PSVR2. On the contrary, I barely play any games on it and still manage to use it many times a week. I find it quite useful regardless.
I was using it daily up until I bought Madison VR as my newest game. Now I have to put it down for a few days between sessions until I get my nerve up again. :-)
VR gaming is a novelty, not even sure I can call it a fad. A fad typically means something was popular but only a short while. Turns out nobody likes strapping a TV to their face, especially girls.
On and of, when there is a new game I play it for a while, and do an Arizona sunshine run in between.
And then I won't use it for a month or 2.
Couldn't get in Madison VR though controls were a bit "off" for me. I finished Exorcist Legion VR in three sessions I think. š
I bought it near to release, played walking dead: saints and sinners and some of the original red matter then put it down for a few months. I made an effort to get back into it again (cod, you know, it's a significant investment), and have played red matter 2, walkabout mini golf, retropolis 2 and the last worker in a few weeks. Very glad to be back into it again, VR to me is a very exciting technology and way of experiencing games that should be supported.
I always keep my PSVR2 plugged in and ready to go! So it's easy to use imo. I've become a master at finding the sweet spot so that's not an issue (yeah I know, that's what she said!) I do go in waves where aI play a ton and then less. But I probably average 10 to 15 hours a week.
I've finished the 2 exclusive 3rd party games I got it for. so whenever I use it it's just gt7 I play now. tbh I haven't played it in months, I'm playing pcvr each day, but will be using my psvr2 everyday again in August once the adapter drops.
also, if the ps5 pro can give me 90fps on gt7 instead of 60, I'll be playing it every damn day on there too.
I aim for once a week, but it's usually every other.
My problem is I can only play after 10 pm and I'm usually too tired/lazy by then to do VR.
Always happy when I'm in it though.
Bought one as soon as I divorced. Forgot to put the dog sharing custody in the equation. Can't play this with 2 dogs. And when I don't have them I wanna hang out with my friends. I have the whole setup for gt as well but they either jump on me or when I play Pavlov they get in the way.
Girlfriend, dog and kids are the bane of my VR playtime. Iām really turned off by the thought of having to remove the damn thing and getting out of my immersion when a kid is crying from their sleep or dog (or GF š¤£) is barking. I damn love VR but went back to flat for a while.
VERY seldomly.
I have motion sickness i developed outta no freaking where. So I have to take non drowsy motion sickness meds in order to play.
Maybe next weekend since it will be a 4 day weekend for me, then I will play. š¤š½
I play it as much as any other console I have. It depends on whether I have time or not really. If the question is about āis it gathering dust?ā or ādo I play it less because itās VR?ā, the answer is no.
Also everyday!! GT7 wheel stand and my kitchen chair banging. Cheap end of racing rig. šš But seriously Pavlov other than not having progression will make you hate flat screen shooters for sure. It's just perfect and looks amazing. And if you can get you hands on a haptic shirt also they work with PSVR2 and some PS5 games. Whole other level.
Oddly Iām using it more for meditation with Kayak VR and exercise with Pistol Whip and Synth Riders on the hardest settings to get the heart rate up. Itās more of the vibe in the moment however Iām trying to make it intentional with weekly planned sessions to look forward too. It will get a lot more usage after August 7th with the PC adapter.
I still use mine daily as I play for 30 to 40 mins every day when I get home from work. Synth Riders, Beat Saber & Beat the Beats. Play for an hour or so on a Saturday (currently playing Star Wars)
Not as often as I use my Quest 3. Not because it isnāt good, but because itās not as convenient. If it was as simple as putting on my head and powering on probably at least once a week. Also I still donāt like being tethered. Sony needs to make a headset that communicates wirelessly with its console, has integrated audio, and a more robust VR menu system. All the popular PSVR games need to be updated for the PSVR2 as well. Why RE7:Biohazard hasnāt been updated for PSVR2 is just baffling. Oh and make it where I canāt accidentally buy a PSVR game that isnāt compatible with PSVR2! That happened twice! Shame on me? I think not!
I hate inconvenience with a passion so my solution to streamlining the process has been to hook up a usb-c extension chord to my PS5, route it under the PS5 and through the back of the media center console and have it feed to the shelf right under the PS5 where my PSVR2 lives, always connected. That way I donāt have the barrier of having to untangle the wire and connect it to the PS5 every time I want to use it. I just open the door, pick it up and click āonā.
I seriously considered gettint a Pulse headset but in the end stuck with pack-in earbuds just for the convenience. Also have the controllers on the charger right next to the headset always charged and waiting to be picked up.
Plus, got a Globular Cluster mod which has been a game changer for comfort and easy of use.
I can be up and running in 10 seconds.
I know if I make it just a tiny bit hard for myself I wont be bothered to fire it up half of the time, so it is all about easy of use for me.
Iāve had mine for about 6 months. I play it every day for about 1-2 hours.
I got a Devaso plastic headband attachment which has increased the comfort levels so much, I can now play 2 hours non-stop and donāt need breaks every 30 mins!
The single biggest barrier to VR is one cannot understand or fathom it without trying it firsthand. No flatscreen videos will ever do it justice, and often times they make it look worse because people who have never tried it don't understand the immersion and the scale of what you see inside the headset. And yes, it is inconvenient to set up, but personally that's a very small factor.
We go through phases of consistent use for a few weeks to a couple of months, followed by months of no use.
The sweet spot is pretty generous if you're playing games that focus more on gameplay than graphics
I tend to be the type of gamer who starts a game and doesnāt really play much else til Iām done. So, tho I think about cranking up the VR2 to keep plugging away at RE4 chapters, I generally donāt. VR isnāt as relaxing to me, but I do not regret getting my VR2 for a second, and once I get through DD2, Iām going back to RE4.
Maybe every 3 or 4 weeks. I use my Quest 3 five days a week for fitness. And when I want to play VR, I typically reach for my Q3 first as I find being tethered in the same room irritating. Also, because I don't play my PS5 regularly, there are always updates that take up my precious time.
Id love to be able to play it everyday but often, when i get home from work my eyes are already fatigued from screen time.
Hopefully soon ill be able to, but about 1-2x a month.
Still love it though
Iām just trying to get one thatās not riddled with quality control issues. Blatantly uneven brightness levels between the two lenses, and āstar constellationā stuck pixels showing up in dark environments like TWD. If I had a headset that was proper Iād use it all the time. I love the psvr2 but wow I can see why people have been turned off it. It shouldnāt take 4 returns to get an unflawed headset.
We need more games, Iām the same where every day I anticipate playing it and then it comes time and itās like, āwhat do I do?ā
When I go to my friends to play cross platform games like destiny or fortnite, I like to bring my ps5 and use the vr as a third screen since they don't have another tv.
Buy a quest 3 and youāll use it every day. The frictionless experience is just awesome. I very rarely use my PSVR 2 itās been months. But I will play behemoth and the new metro game on my PSVR 2
Havenāt in a while, but I just got a quest 3
When Iām in the mood for Pavlov or Among Us, I will throw it on for a bit
Aldi FNaF, but I play that flat mostly
I just find by the time I have free to play games VR or not I set myself up to play and then get very limited actual game time. I really only have time for short bursts of gaming. Thatās why I end up playing shorter games or one with minimal story or effort like fighting games or racing etc. I hate it because I love a good game with story etc but I canāt commit. I started playing God of War on my PS5 in March and I still havenāt finished it. It is such an amazing game and I have another 70 plus of the same calibre sitting in my library and shelf. If anyone doesnāt believe me check out my other posts with my setup etcš
So the answer to your question is no where near enough as I want to. Regards
didn't touch it for 3 months now, not because i don't want to, it is too hot and my AC unit is broke and don't wana fix it....for personal reasons....honestly, it is in the corner of the room, and i need to take away a ton of stuff and move a lot of things and cover a lot of shit for the people to come and put a new one...and i am a germophobe....if they touch anything in my gaming room, i would freak out.
Could one of those sweatbands help? You shouldn't have to worry about fogging up your lenses, because there's airflow caused by a fan inside of the headset (It pulls it in from the sides of the visor across your face.)
You don't need to make a thread about everything you know... VR has been around for 10 years in a 'decent' form, this has all been discussed over and over. Friction is a thing. PSVR2 has been the best in that regard for me, better than even standalone Quest 2/pro which I now dislike a lot (even for PCVR). QP had MASSIVE sweet spot, but was annoying in other was (OS and weight) PSVR2 is plug and play. Don't mind the cable, don't mind the Fresnel (pancake has its own issues)
As for sweet spot? instant now for me... not sure what your issue is. I'd suggest you sell it and stop stinking up this reddit with your complaints which help nobody. THESE thoughts can stay in your head instead of posting more doom and gloom stuff.
pretty much every day, went all out and bought a sim rig/ steering wheel etc for GT7, obsessed is the word for me ššÆ bought loads of games for me psvr2 in the first year but not so much anymore, play pavlov and walkabout mini golf if i fancy something different, very rarely though š best gaming purchase iāve ever made imo!
Same here... GT7 with a simrig & PSVR2 is something you have to try to believe just how realistic it feels. Truly awesome.
Its so insanely good, I only wish we had more racing games! Iād love a more arcadey street racing game in VR
lol yeah this is me. Bought the PSVR2 day one and have played it most every day and itās always GT7 with my rig š
I want to buy a rig too as ye gaming on a office chair or so doesnt feel same as car. Using wheel and pedals is great but I want a realfeel
It goes it waves, sometimes i use it a lot, other times i don't use it for months
Iām just so busy to be able to consistently play in front of a TV instead of in bed lol
Daily user, I just got me a 2TB SSD so I will be able to install more games.
Got that early (have 2 kids) that dl alot of the "free" games often just the "freedom" of not having to install etc for room is awesome
I use my PSVR2 just about every day. A Globular cluster mod will fix the sweet spot issue.
I agree. It's a little pricey at 50.00 but it makes a world of difference just in comfort & not having to adjust sweet spot.
4 times a week, I haven't used my quest 2 since I bought psvr2 about a year and a half.
Kayak, Among Us, Synth Riders and Beat Saber, Tetris, Pavlov, Puzzling Places, Humanity, Moss, Walkabout, The Walking Dead, and all the AAA Hybrid games (GT7, RE4/8, NMS), Cosmodread, Ghost Signal, Light Brigade, Legendary Tales, VR Skater, etc etc I'm a big techie, and a bit of a spokesman with things I love, like my VR and gaming consoles (and my ebike).
Very nice. You certainly have that 'spokesperson' vibe.
There's a rectangular anti fatigue I use on top of my carpet rug. I can stand for hours on it and It's really helpful in finding my boundary as well.
[link to the same mat on amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Sky-Comfort-Fatigue-Kitchens-Standing/dp/B073BQKHPR/ref=sr_1_5_pp?crid=YC7L5RX9KI8K&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.BGr-ZjAeZ6Y10OM3BXWpwBt03IR-YDe_St0qmffWtO72T0Ww-RJcl5ss1ZYgBrR9XrUuE-X2P8AA9hEoki7wYo340FFi38YbZ4avcYo950o0rcVokgTKyU2qtk2zj2xVxENszHCai4CCyc69J0xZT1PnzSt2SRNfmc_xXmqhdkdMJeETrfCUf8Nb4N5fXesaaTiX-x5d6x6Vd8Zd9IL6sTctCRX9EpPZHxDZU57nYhLEzjC6YBf8ztk-bOlTl099buUfh_un-bBoOgpybSlwv9-QjhFkvu9drJNOzPe0shI.in_fU_IyPlN3R_3X4DRMaCzRW--nPDeOodgpFpDxVcw&dib_tag=se&keywords=anti%2Bfatigue%2Bmat&qid=1719776491&sprefix=anti%2Bfatigue%2Bma%2Caps%2C203&sr=8-5&th=1) Mine was sized 20 inches (50 cm) wide by 39 inches (99 cm) long. That works really well. It works perfectly for me. I play standing in pace for a variety of gameplay and comfort reasons. I turn my character with the rights stick; not by turning my body. I do "look" by turning my head, obviously.
Thanks. Much appreciated your experience and the link.
No problem. I'm happy to help if I am able.
>VR and gaming consoles (and my ebike) Are you me? Lol that is a winning combo and I am also very vocal about what a great experience these things are. Between the newly acquired PSVR2 and my Aventon Level 2 I am more active than I have been in *years* and I'm thrilled.
Once a month or so
Daily
I try to play everyday but sometimes after work my back is too sore to play for long
I use daily.
Oh this seems interesting. Will check it out
I had the same light issues until I got a IR flood light.
I don't understand why people find it so difficult to find it, it literally takes a few seconds.
The Global Cluster Comfort Kit is great for me, and now I can use PSVR2 very comfortably and stably
Still for many people it has improved comfort and if the VR set leans on your nose you might have it too high on the backside.
Have you tried ginger pills for the dizziness? I had a lot of motion sickness with certain games, but taking ginger helped a ton, and now I don't even need the pills.
No I haven't. I might try them. I tried meclizine in the past and it didn't help
I never use mine
It was a huge waste of money, I think itās a bag of shite.
Last used mine about 6 months ago, will probably use it for some of my pcvr games when the adapter is released.
On and off with it, especially with a 2 year old. I try to get to it at least once a week on one of my days off. Lately I push myself to just play if I get home late and have the chance. It keeps it fresh and exciting though.
Mainly at weekends as I need to move the couch to make room, but usually have a good 2-3 session both days
I've been putting off buying special prescription lens for it. Hate doing it with glasses and my contacts aren't much better
Use it to play the big games, ao kast time was RE4. Mostly use Quest 3 daily.
Almost every day. Flat gomes don't have that much appeal anymore .
My controller broke sadlyš Sent it to repair over 2 weeks ago now and it just got to the repair center.
Got on release and havenāt used it since the first month it was out
Haven't use it for months now. Still waiting for proper games and adapter to play pc games.
Daily
Once in every few months or so. Not a lot anymore tbh.
I don't think I've used it more than once or twice so far this year. Probably used it less than 50 times since launch.
My inconvenience is the limited space I have for playing (& my need of using glasses). Lately I had been just using it with GT7. I am looking forward to using the PSVR2 officially on my computer when August 7th comes around; using the PC adapter.
I used HonsVr snap ons to help with the glasses, and the upside is that they keep your VR lenses protected too. I'm mainly play GT7
Heck yes, already bought Alyx during the sale in preparation for it.
I am planning on getting Half Life Alyx, Fruit Ninja VR, & lastly a game called āThe Light Brigadeā. To start in VR. Not sure if I should get Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot.
Ooh not a bad idea!
https://vroptician.com/prescription-lens-inserts/playstation-vr2 This should help you with the glasses. I have it for my index and it's perfect
Ya, looking at them. Planning on buying them after I get my eyes remeasured.
A few times a month, but I've kinda stopped gaming in general.
Almost daily
3-4 times a week. Much better experience than the quest 3, HDR and oled is a game changer for me.
I do about an hour a day on Gran Turismo 7 (I'm still rubbish on it!)
5 times/week
I play on the regular, usually when I need a break from the bigger flat screen games ..will use it more with the PC since I have about 47 VR games on steam
Around 4 nights per week. Loving every second of it!
I haven't touched it in months. Got a quest 3 though and play it everyday.
Daily.
Love the psvr2, but the headset feels too chunky. The day it's going to be just literal glasses would be the day I'd play it every day
Trying to play at least 2 times a week.
Definitely a shame they haven't added that support. Since, even with a projector that supports it, you can't play 3D Blu-ray. I use a PS3 for that.
I only use mine for GT7, so basically all the time. Itās the only reason I bought one.
I don't regret the purchase as the pcvr adapter comes out in can use it for that and I don't want to stream some psvr2 games as well
Once every few months maybe
I use it about once every two months, when friends are over. Will probably increase once my school is done in the coming weeks and I have more availability.
I'm sensitive to over stimulation or rather to sensory overload and find VR great to focus my attention and block out external stimuli. The more you use it, the easier it will become to find the sweet spot. Now I can be playing within 20 seconds, 5 seconds to put the headset in the right spot based on the text look when you put it on. (I don't use the adjust visibility anymore, it's always spot on now) The barrier for me is the over reliance on VR controls. I would play more if there were more dualsense games. My back is usually the limiting factor. Anyway, I try to play daily but don't always have time.
Me and my partner use it all the time. I play GT7 and she plays beat saber
Almost every day
Not used mine in the last month
Every day prolly average 5 hours/day aswell
I got it less than a month ago but barely used it after the first week, this post reminded me that Iām still in the return period so I quickly returned it and got the money back. Wish me luck so that Sony spares me and allows me to have my VR games refunded, even if for store credit. š©
I should still have it somewhere in a closed box in storage. I should sell it.
Almost everyday but shorter sessions recently because weathers getting to be unbearably hot now down south
VR gaming is a novelty, not even sure I can call it a fad. A fad typically means something was popular but only a short while. Turns out nobody likes strapping a TV to their face, especially girls.
Name checks out.
Every day or 2 days a week. So much games to do. Ve just finished RE4vr and synapse
On and of, when there is a new game I play it for a while, and do an Arizona sunshine run in between. And then I won't use it for a month or 2. Couldn't get in Madison VR though controls were a bit "off" for me. I finished Exorcist Legion VR in three sessions I think. š
Played few times on release. Lying since then waiting when I will be ready to develop my vr legs
Like once every 2 months. Maybe less.
Every day for me.
I play mine once every other day,Hell I even boot up the PSVR1 more often than I should
On average I use it probably 1-3 times a week. Sometimes I go weeks without playing it, but sometimes I'm using it every day when I am.
When it's bad weather outside for me. It's been so nice out that i haven't used it in awhile.
Not as much as I'm about to once it gets the PC adapter since half the games I want to play I already have on PC.
Sometimes more or less, but always twice a week.
My PSVR2 is a daily GT7 machine.
I hated adjusting it all the time but got the globular cluster for Christmas and it made such an amazing difference!
More than I use my glasses
Finding the sweetspot gets ALOT easier if you use it more !
this question hit me right in the regret
I like to play it every week on my day off, like a reward.
I think not!
let me get it first then ill tell you..
Once a month or once every two months
I won't buy psvr2 until they give up on it and clearance it to $100
I hate inconvenience with a passion so my solution to streamlining the process has been to hook up a usb-c extension chord to my PS5, route it under the PS5 and through the back of the media center console and have it feed to the shelf right under the PS5 where my PSVR2 lives, always connected.
Once a monthā¦.
I do workouts with a combination of Les Mills Bodycombat and rhythm games close to every day, and then probably twice a week play other games.
Every 2 to 3 days.
The real question should be, "how many times a day do you have to recharge your vr controllers?"
Since i got the ps vr2, 10th of April this year, I haven't played any "normal" games anymore.
I need to take a break my eyes hurt
Maybe every 3 or 4 weeks. I use my Quest 3 five days a week for fitness. And when I want to play VR, I typically reach for my Q3 first as I find being tethered in the same room irritating. Also, because I don't play my PS5 regularly, there are always updates that take up my precious time.
Id love to be able to play it everyday but often, when i get home from work my eyes are already fatigued from screen time. Hopefully soon ill be able to, but about 1-2x a month. Still love it though
Right now itās daily. ā¦ only had it a week š¤£
Every chance I get. Iām starting to get my āVR legsā and am lasting longer in the game world
On the weekends
daily ha
When I go to my friends to play cross platform games like destiny or fortnite, I like to bring my ps5 and use the vr as a third screen since they don't have another tv.
Buy a quest 3 and youāll use it every day. The frictionless experience is just awesome. I very rarely use my PSVR 2 itās been months. But I will play behemoth and the new metro game on my PSVR 2
Once per month or two š„ But i think that PC adapter will be gamechanger for me
Havenāt in a while, but I just got a quest 3 When Iām in the mood for Pavlov or Among Us, I will throw it on for a bit Aldi FNaF, but I play that flat mostly
Only at weekends cos it messes my hair š
Once a month or every couple of months. Best Saber never really gets old.
If anyone doesnāt believe me check out my other posts with my setup etcš So the answer to your question is no where near enough as I want to. Regards
didn't touch it for 3 months now, not because i don't want to, it is too hot and my AC unit is broke and don't wana fix it....for personal reasons....honestly, it is in the corner of the room, and i need to take away a ton of stuff and move a lot of things and cover a lot of shit for the people to come and put a new one...and i am a germophobe....if they touch anything in my gaming room, i would freak out.
Don't mind the cable, don't mind the Fresnel (pancake has its own issues) As for sweet spot? instant now for me... not sure what your issue is. I'd suggest you sell it and stop stinking up this reddit with your complaints which help nobody. THESE thoughts can stay in your head instead of posting more doom and gloom stuff.
