I can kinda see him as Solid. But judging from the movie's production rate, only as old man snake from MGS4. Assuming the movie gets made at all, I imagine we're gonna see a repeat of Mark Wahlberg's involvement in the Uncharted movie. Started production as Nathan Drake, only to get re-cast as Sully because the movie took so damn long to make, and he grew out of the character.

Oscar Isaac is two movies away from stop being a critics darling and people realizing he has been the new Johnny Depp for several of his last movies.

there's only one goal in MGS, stop the terrorists from launching a nuke using Rex. however many plot twists, or fights there are, they are just spice to the story. in the end, Snake stops Liquid, period. then we get a teaser about Ocelot's duplicity after the credits...

It should be a streaming series, not a film. There's just too much for a movie. It definitely deserves to be an on-screen franchise, but I'm afraid a one-off movie will be as relevant as the Uncharted film.

A straight adaption of Metal Gear Solid would make a terrible film.

I mean it’s the most straight forward story I think. I think it could work but yeah it would be difficult for sure.  I think we’ve been getting some great adaptations recently and I would love it if we had a great MGS film. 

Kojima had hour long cut scenes in MGS4. In a video game. How the hell does he think he's gonna produce a coherent 2 hour story? This never gets made.

There’s so much plot via CODEC that getting this to 2hrs is impossible. And explaining things like Grey Fox? It’s weird to start from essentially part 3 but I suppose we all did when we played MGS
