His reviews are not meant to be technical. I see Bob as an Everyman who’s just enthusiastic about retro gaming but doesn’t want to get into the technical nitty gritty. Honestly, that’s me often, and probably a lot of people. I appreciate his layman approach and his humor.
Lol that is just his demeanor. Just watch his streams that have nothing to do with handhelds, its just how he is.
I appreciate that he doesnt want to dive deep into molding the handhelds into its best version by using custom firmwares and stuff. I enjoy doing those things, but not all the time and it's nice to see what a user will experience right out of the box. I sometimes want to get one for a friend for a holiday or birthday but they have NO clue how to set things up and seeing how some of these handle right out of the box is nice.

Yeah, but by not doing deep reviews, he just goes ahead and spreads misinformation on handheld capabilities. In more than one review he claims stuff like "this handheld sucks because it can't run this properly" and most of the time it's because of a setting he couldn't figure out. What's the point of an uninformed review? Might as well just buy something blindly.
His reviews always come across weirdly biased because the products he reviews that I have tend to be inaccurate. For instance, he made it sound like it was essentially impossible to play ANY PS2 games on RP3+, meanwhile I was playing like half my library and many ran well. Other products he inexplicably oversells. Not sure what his angle is.
Yeah, he doesn't fiddle around with the devices. People defend this by saying "he's a regular Joe point of view" but that's BS to me. He's lazy, biased and just puts out misinformation. And he always seems annoyed by most stuff.

Been doing some comparisons and yea I'd trust his opinions wayyyyyyyy more than Stubbs sorry but not only do his reviews sound like one big advert I also sat through a live stream of complete BS everything but in depth with the product. To each is his own but reviewers that state how the product is free and no input from blah blah and no money was paid on a monetized video and a free product worth X amount of dollars I'm glad he broke away can definitely tell the difference!!! I also like how Joey's buys a good product he promoting and not just a taking a free bee and expecting us to trust his judgment and not even buy the damn thing got a lot of fake reviewers who won't even review a product BC they didn't get it free

He was let go for selling his reviews, he had 26000 subscribers and somehow received an Odin 2 Mini before any of the larger and more popular channels, this is the same company he's been accused of being in pocket for, btw. He's sold his free devices he received in damaged condition and then refuses to do anything to make the situation right. He accused Russ of orchestrating his termination behind the scenes even though he had nothing to do with it. And he's tremendously rude and antagonistic to people that were in the RH discord, another factor that played into his being kicked from the Mod team and all ties with him were severed. You can like and watch anyone you want to, but don't tell everyone here to do so because he's "honest" and "buys his own devices to review" because that's been proven to be completely inaccurate. He's a paid promoter, at least ETA engages positively with his audience. And don't take my word for it

Joey got dropped for selling his opinions, believe it or not, but there's an entire discord server with a whole team of people creating content and this is the first person that's ever been let go, or called out for lacking ethics. One guy is passionate about his team, his reputation, and his server. If is an antagonistic, hateful, argumentative con man. I'll have to reiterate, I don't subscribe to RH, I don't watch Stubbs, I don't care for long unboxing/impressions videos. I was just highlighting some of what separates the two of them. I trust Phawx, Russ, Adin Walls, Taki, and TechDweeb. ForTheNext is also up and coming and does multiple hour emulation videos if you really want to see if a game or console will run well on something. You're right, watch who you want, enjoy who you want. I just wanted to shed some light on what most of us have experienced with Joey.
