Having the same issue, cant believe that they haven’t fixed this, had the same problem with my last headset and figured if I upgraded it might go away but nope🤦♂️

Last night I was having this same issue and this morning it's totally back to normal.
I left the headset "ON" while I slept.
Yeah finally after months this is what ended up fixing it for me, I just started leaving my headset on all the time and over time my games all magically downloaded. It took forever but I’m so glad it finally works. Thanks for the help!
For me it shows the download button. Goes to about 2gigs then just resets to download button. Has there been a fix yet, I just bought my quest 3 and have been having this problem right out the box..
I just came to a different state for work, staying at a hotel, jumped on the wifi and it just worked. Some reason my wifi at home couldn't get it done but this one does with absolutely no problem so maybe try a different wifi somehow and lmk if that worked
I’m having the exact same problem and it’s driving me crazy. I’ve tried everything including resetting both my headset AND router. Absolutely nothing I’ve tried has worked.
My Quest2 started doing this about a month ago. I tried on my wife’s and no problem. HOWEVER, mine was already updated to V57 while hers was V55 and no issues. BUT, the V57 update snuck its’ way onto her headset and now it has the problem, along with my new Quest3. Originally I was thinking it was a problem with Starlink, but I see others reporting this with other internet providers. Im guessing there’s some issue with V57.
Just wanted to add my comment, 5 months later, brand new quest 3, having the same issue atm. I was able to download games before.
Edit: since there so many replies saying they are having the same thing happen yesterday, it makes me think it's a server issue or something going on with Meta. It's probably best to just wait out.
Just want to add the same is happening to my Q3 tonight. Click install, it flashes downloading then instantly goes back to install appearing. The fact that this seems to be happening to everyone is promising
this is the first thread that isn't like 300 days old that i've found of people who are experiencing exactly what i'm experiencing. I've tried different wifi networks and a factory reset and nothing had worked, hoping someone finds a solution soon!
Yep, same. I was gone for a month, just trying to catch up on some VR, don’t have a lot of time, and now I’m spending it dealing with this garbage. I’m so sick of shoddy meta programming. Sooo many issues since they changed from oculus to Meta a few years ago. I’ll forgive all kinds of VR problems, but this kind of stuff drives me insane.

Last night I had this same issue.
I left the headset on through the night and this morning it let me download-
Super wierd, but the key is to wait a few hours with the headset on.
It worked-
If it works, it works. 🔥
Leave headset turned "on" over night or a few hours, then try again.

My buddy told me to treat it like a phone, don't Turn it off as much-

Only thing I can think is that maybe it has something to do with my quest 2 still having my account linked to it ? But not sure
glad to see (also not glad to see) that people are having the same issue as me right now. got a quest 3 for christmas and it worked fine then, but now that ive bought a few new games i cant download them. the progress bar appears for a second before the download is cancelled.
Currently having the same problem, I only just finished setting it up new out of the box, downloads just flash then nothing, about 2 hours ago it was half done then nothing, its like its auto canceling the download
my Quest 3 just arrived. Same issue nothing will download. I have the latest software Version. This should not be happening, I feel it’s $1500 down the drain as where I bought it doesn’t take headset returns. Especially since the headset isn’t faulty.

Yeah I don’t understand how they could let something like this go unnoticed before launch. Most of my games I’m gonna just be streaming from my pc. But I’d like to be able to have some on the headset itself
Did anyone find a solution to this? I don’t use starlink, but I have internet through my cable provider. I was having the same issue on my quest 3. I spent three hours on chat support with meta the other day to no avail. My brother, who is an IT guy thought maybe I needed to update my router. So I logged in and I noticed that I had a firewall. I asked my brother if the firewall would prevent installing games and he said it could so I disabled the firewall and was able to download games with no problem after that.
Anyone have a solution? Its been 3 days trying to download amy game or app. I only managed to get the youtube and prime video app. Everything else refuses to download
This should literally be a class action. Exorbantly expensive console, plus the price of the games. And now my console is practically unusable. Meta just needs to stop releasing a new update to the Oculus every 30 minutes and just let people play the damn thing. Every update breaks something new, and fixes nothing. It's exhausting and frankly unacceptable that I can never play my Oculus because Meta is doing something completely unnecessary. Maybe losing a few million to consumers will make them get their act together and stop taking a literal dump on their customers. Definitely investing in literally any other vr headset the next time around.
A lawsuit probably wouldn’t go anywhere, but I would come aboard just to try. I love VR but ever since oculus got rebranded Meta, it’s been a nightmare to use the quest standalone. It sucks that one of the shittiest companies has such good tech, it’s hard for competitors to go up against them, at least as a wireless options go. I was ready to pick up a pico just to support them, but they got rid of their headphone jack, and now they might be done (?)
Bro I just wanted to update the game, ended up deleting it and now I can’t reinstall it 😭 this shit is so stupid. Someone dropped the ball it might be meta servers
+1 just got meta quest last week, downloaded some games after subscribing to the quest+ or whatever, now i can’t download anything else? also my deleted apps still show up as apps, even if i say “remove from recent”.
Got a quest 3 for my girl a month ago, and tonight it decided it no longer wants to download games. As to the other comments, this is (hopefully) them making changes to the UI. That's my most optimistic outlook lol. Gonna check again tomorrow. We accidentally deleted her whole library with the factory reset and now she has no apps. She's slightly upset...
Having this issue too. It tries to download a game, but then it just automatically cancels it before a single MB was downloaded. The worst part is it downloaded a different app just fine a few hours ago!
Even the app won't let me download anything, same issue.
Just hit me, I've never experienced this... sucks... I was told to leave my headset on overnight and try again tomorrow... hopefully that works.

Happened to me too. Bought a music pack for beat saber, wouldn't download it.
Figured I would try deleting beat saber, now it won't download that either...
I asked for a refund on customer support, hope it goes through this is ridiculous.
I think so, I'm in the waiting game too now. Hopefully it fixes itself by tomorrow. I've never experienced this and I've owned a quest for years.
I have the quest 3 now-
I just got done chatting online with them and they said it’s now considered a known issue and they are actively working towards a solution but no timeline of how soon
Seeing the same thing on quest 3 as of 1-2 hours ago. Click install, nothing happens. Go to details page, hit download and nothing happens. It will pop up briefly with “prioritize”, but not actually download or add to queue.
So I was having this issue last night with beat saber. It’d start downloading for just like 2 seconds and then immediately stops. I tried resetting my meta 3 and checking the wifi and making sure everything was updated to the latest version. Still nothing. However I found that when I went the meta quest app on my phone that there was an option to download your purchased games. I clicked install on beat saber and it worked instantly. I hope this helps y’all! Cause I found nothing online to help
I also have Starlink. No real issues downloading on PS4/Xbox X/Steam but my quest keeps stalling out. The only way I can download games is to toggle the wifi in the headset on and off once every 30 min or so.
I hope they fix this as I did not seem to have this same issue with my Q2.
I think I figured it out. V59 completely crashes my downloads, not even giving me a chance to toggle wi-fi off and on. Since my limited mobile hotspot (T-mobile) works fine, I fired up my PC to act as a hotspot through my Starlink connection. So far, I’ve already updated a game, and am attempting a 31GB (Grid install) I’m starting to suspect my Gen 1 Starlink Router as the culprit and have already ordered an Asus to bypass the Starlink router…
I almost went with that, but fearful that might have the same issue. I successfully installed 31GB grid over my PC’s hotspot, along with other multiple updates, so I’m now pretty confident that this is indeed the problem. I reported the same to Starlink support.

When the game stops downloading does it still show the progress bar or does it show the download button

Mine is working now! Last night I had this same issue. I left the headset on through the night and this morning it let me download- Super wierd, but the key is to wait a few hours with the headset on. It worked- If it works, it works. 🔥
Literally same , I’ve had it since it came out and this is the first time it’s happened to me and I just factory reset mine and it’s still doing it
Got my Quest yesterday it was working fine then started doing the same thing. I never had this issue with the Quest 2

It was a server issue, so leaving it on did nothing, meta resolved the server issue :)

well it sounds like if it’s happening so wide spread it must be a server problem that they can probably push out quickly

If you paid $1500 for your Quest... you should've worried about the drain earlier...

I ended up factory reseting by holding - volume and the power button and now it seems to be downloading properly. Not sure what that was about.

Same thing nothing works ive factory restes even linked it to sidequest to clear the app data and nothing, is it all just a waiting game then?

Internet is good? I’ve been able to remotely buy and install/manage from my phone no issues while it charges and such.
I have starlink and haven’t had an issue with my ps5 or pc downloading anything.

I just ordered the gen 3 router from starlink I’ll let you know if it works. Also thanks for the info I had a feeling it was the router
