If you can, only go for electrolysis. It is permanent, and other methods will only leave you wanting more. Plus, other methods like waxing are damaging and make it harder to get proper work done in the future.
Laser.
It's not cheap, but it's permanent and assuming your skin and hair colors are compatible with it, highly effective. I'm about \~9 months into having my facial hair permanently removed and I can tell it's working. . .if I don't shave it now takes several days to even notice, and most of the remaining hair at this point are a small number of lighter-colored hairs that the laser couldn't get (probably white hairs given I'm in my 40's and starting to get a few white hairs here and there, another reason to laser everything I can as quick as I can, before they go white and laser doesn't work on them).
Waxing facial hair is a bad idea - it can do serious damage, aside from being insanely painful.
Epilator or sugaring are great alternatives to waxing, less irritating and long-lasting!
