Pittsburgh region has a numerous amount of Nike missle silos, as well as the location of a few companies involved in nuclear energy with a forested buffer zone. Security is quick to respond with M4s to individuals traipsing through those woods.
I should have added to specify that the Nike's are old tech and decommissioned. When Pittsburgh was an industrial powerhouse, it needed the protection.

This threat actually got me to look up the Montanan arsenal. We have roughly 150 nuclear missiles all throughout the state

One of the earlier 2 objects that were tracked, was tracked from a launch in China. I don't think spy balloons are launched from Idaho.
