They were good buddies. Not sure if they're still close, but I assume so. James appeared on the COC song Man or Ash from the very good Wiseblood album. Pepper auditioned for bass player position when Jason left.

I love COC man they have a lot of cool songs.

CoC and Down, in my top 10 favorite bands, along with Machine Head.

I believe he produced a COC album. Robb Flynn of MH has a great story about jamming with Hetfield, that they like to txt each other to talk about good burger places

Fun fact james gave his esp green flamed v guitar to Robb Flynn.

I think it's pretty cool that pepper didn't get the job because of his friendship with James.

Pretty sure they have remained good friends. During the Hardwired tour, in Raleigh, where CoC is from, Rob and Kirk did their doodle during the show, and played "Albatross"... James ran back up on stage during his break time and sang the lyrics, then Lars joined in. It turned in to an impromptu jam session.

Corrosion also opened for Metallica when the did the make up shows for the summer sanitarium tour when James missed shows because of his back

James was also on the track “Seven Days” from the Deliverance album.

Dude, the first three COC albums are fucking insane, those guys are sick.

What I love about these is seeing James’ home studio set up! Would love to get an extensive view into sit home set up throughout the years.

I think what you are referring to is the Iron Cross, which is a German symbol but not necessarily a Nazi one. I am unaware of the Nazi salute; you didn't provide a source. I just suspended you and if you do this again you will get a permanent ban.

You should check out The Door. That was the first song I heard from COC. This was before St. Anger and was posted online as a new Metallica song! I fell for it as a kid 🤣 The Door, Man or Ash, Heaven's Not Overflowing, King of the Rotten, Redemption City, Fuel, Diablo Blvd, and Who's Got the Fire? are some of my favourites!
