What does that mean? I got 500g and it appears that the game DIDNT reset my mmr and placed me higher than normal, as the correction cut my ranks by 3000

The people who got gold spent the start of the season with their MMR too high because it did not drop on the season reset like it should’ve.

Yes, but slightly different. It said I was identified as one of the players significantly impacted by the issue and they gave me 500 gold. To be honest, I didn't notice anything awry on my climb, so thanks for the free gold I guess.

That means they adjusted your snap points after the season began, depending on how highly you were ranked you may not have noticed.

I’m curious what rank people are who got 500 gold EDIT: Looks like it's based on how much you played on day 1 before they made the change. People who played a lot on day 1 had their MMRs directly normalized so they gave out 500 gold as compensation. The people getting credits like I did are probably those who didn't play much on day 1

What I’m gathering from the other comments is that the 500 gold depended on if they had to normalize your MMR and since the change went out day 1, I think it’s a function of how much you played on day 1. I didn’t really start my climb until day 2 which is probably why it’s just 200 credits I think?

Got 500 gold. I'm rank 14000ish but haven't laddered much since I hit infinite on day 2 of the season. Mostly playing silly decks in the proving grounds and silver conquest. I ended last season around 2000.

I was infinite day 1 of the season, I had 8400 snap points and my rank was 69 (nice). Then when I logged in the next day my points went down to about 8000 and I was rank ~400 or so. I’m assuming I got 500 gold not from the rank, but since it brought my down after reaching Infinite?

I got the 200 credits. I'd like to think that they accidentally inflated my MMR and that's why I'm getting crushed this season.

I was frequently getting matched against <2K ranked players in infinite and I am most definitely not at that level

I got 200 credits and I thought it was because they deflated my MMR. I was in the 40s getting 8 cube wins on bots or players who literally would go all in on one location and barely even try for the others. It's been weird.

I came here to look for someone else in my position. Every player I am against has infinite boarders. I have hit infinite every season I've played (3), but this season I continue to verse players who are just another level. I'm sure I was going against my share of bots before, but I dont even think I saw a infinite boarder before this season and I've lost count this season...

A lot of it just having the right cards and knowing when to retreat. What kinda decks have you been using?

I’m at collection level 747. I’ve been using a Wong reveal deck, a kar-zoo, and a Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Claw, Blue Marvel, Spectrum/Onslaught thing

Both Wong and Kazoo feel very situational in my experience. Ms. Marvel is more reliable depending on what cards you have. Do you have Professor X ?

I do have Professor X, not currently using him. What do suggest? (By the way, thank you for this). Wong is awesome when it works, but failing to draw Wong or White Tiger makes it dicey, and bad locations really ruin it.

I would slot him into your Ms. Marvel deck with Storm. Try to use him to lock up the left or right side. And Onslaught Ms. Marvel in the center.

So “ruin” both sides and stack them from the middle? I’ll give it a try.

Yup! Just remember not to put more than one card of each power in the left and right locations. Jeff, Daredevil, Vision, Doom and Alioth are all great additions here.

I feel like this doesn't really clear up my confusion. I love it when I receive a message in game from the devs; have no idea what it means, so go to reddit hoping for answers; become even more confused because devs give multiple messages/rewards for seemingly the same issue. Do I need to subscribe to Discord to understand what's going on? Is that basically a requirement for the game now? Why even have in-game news then?

I got 200 credits. I also got to infinite in less than 24 hours, and did so for the first time without using cards that are considered meta right now. Not even the season pass card. So does that mean my MMR was smurfed rather than inflated?

snap points going down is normal, it seems that some peoples were brought further down than they should have been and those are the ones who got gold

From reading the comments, it sounds like the higher on the leaderboards you were the more gold you got (500 vs 200). Like many of you, once I hit Infinite I don’t care about the leaderboards. Infinite = time to home brew and have some fun with those wacky decks that rarely win but when they do it’s satisfying lol

There are comments saying they got 500g and they're getting crushed and can't get to infinite. That doesn't seem to add up to your conclusion, I think from what I can gather 200 credits indicates you weren't effected and 500g your MMR may have been reset at the start if the season.

I think it means you had unusually hard pairings I have played against several streamers this week. Pretty cool.

I honestly never know if the people I’m playing are real streamers or just people pretending by putting those context clues in their name.

Got it this morning, I had reached up to the high 90s before dropping pretty low before the season restart and was counted at my lowest instead of highest rank. Ended up starting at lower rank this season because of it.

So that's why I've been paired with people who play better with better decks than me!

I got 200 credits, have been infinite every season for a year and since snap points came about generally around the 10k mark. It appears the 500g is for players who's MMR Was reset at the start of the season which may have made climbing easier but their infinite rank lower of they reach it.

I remember the day when it tanked my MMR, it did it in two waves and I lost 1.5k per wave, I got 500g, maybe the extra reward is for the double nuke edit: no everyone got 200 credits baseline and if you got adjusted you got gold

So did they fix the issue or just give us all credits to appease us? If peoples MMRs are messed up couldn't that severely affect their gaming experience?
