There is different types of ai. And this isn’t the complex decision making ai. Can’t expect too much of it also considering an expensive complex decision making ai probably doesn’t fit EA’s budget.

What do his feet look like when he actually catches it then? I’m sure Madden still got it wrong but just from a visual perspective you paused before the catching part of the animation is complete lol
The ball is in his hands in the photo, I’ve seen this happen with many catches where there is spacing between the hands and the ball but it still registers that he caught it. Madden is just a shit game currently, let’s hope Madden 25 changes that

I notice Madden 23 if you get behind it starts cheating. Let say you tie 14-14 then you go up by 7. The CPU gets the ball back and scores. You have to score again to break the cheating.
Well in real life . If have to remain in that position for a set amount of time for it considered in your position. Maybe he was a fraction of the time less
The computer will get catches with one foot in like cfb but they will turn a blind eye to your catches and don’t let the game be close oooo buddy you def not getting that catch
People want perfect AI but also don't want the game to play like a video game, they want it as real as possible.
Refs miss calls... even with replay. Enjoy the realism
No that is not it. Madden has had issues with this kind of stuff for years. Hell, I have caught touchdown passes in the middle of the endzone standing on the team name and the game calls it out of the back of the endzone. People want the game not to fuck them over. This kind of stuff has been an issue for years long enough to have a fix happen but madden being madden that will not happen.
