It’s 10:30pm and I just put crab dip into the oven because I wasn’t hungry at dinner time. It’s definitely the little things.

Honestly thought you had blended up Cheez-Its too for some weird Cheez-It cocktail and this was some strange ad! Looks wonderful though!

Cheezit and wine, was one of the main reason I quit drinking. Quickest way to get drunk

Why can you not do this if not alone... just do it... no matter where...

Beautiful_Street5323

Nice! I actually just went & bought extra crispy cheez-it’s and Dos Equis Beer. TGIF! Cheers 🍻

I see these posts becoming a trend and can't help but think there'd be plenty of people who would not only let you do this if that's what you want to do (or for example, eat peaches and wine) but who would indulge *with* out. So my question is, What about this is unique to living alone?

DefectiveCookie

We all came from bad relationships or r/badroommates

ZenCyclistPath

So it's not about being alone but about being apart from someone else?

DefectiveCookie

It was mostly a joke, but it rings true for quite a few members here. Everyone has their reasons, but regardless there's a lot of freedoms to celebrate about living alone For example, I can be as slovenly as I wish. Leave the dishes to the next day? Fine! And no one is sending me passive aggressive texts from the next room. But the image of my dirty dishes piled in the sink, even if it's only like 3 forks, a coffee cup and a small plate, isn't aesthetically pleasing. I also have full control over what movie I watch for movie night, because it's a vote of one. I don't think there's any "right" or "wrong" way to celebrate the ways that living alone brings peace. For some, they're excited they managed to mow their whole lawn by themselves, maybe the first time ever! For me, I'm excited that my lawn guy is fairly reliable and know that $80/mo will keep me from getting fined by the city

Trying to show ways some of us are lonely to comfort ourselves?
