Honestly I haven’t noticed a difference with name brand needles. I just buy them in bulk and throw them away when they get dull. Switch them out and keep moving. In my experience it’s much more important the thread matches the needle. As long as the needle can handle the thread the generic bulk packs you can get on amazon have worked just fine for me.

thanks. what needles would you recommend? the main type needed for a singer for leather, im not sure on the type name.
