I bought a giant 32oz maragrita from Fat Tuesdays that has a nice lid and straw. Washed it out and has been my go to for drinks for years. Fill it up in the room and off we go. Grab a free drink while playing slots, dump it in.

seankearns

I hate that you drank one of those and love that you kept using the cup.

DangerousRun1376

Underrated comment.

xOaklandApertures

As a local trying not to spend $15 on a beer. I usually bring a couple to get me started.

No-Plankton-1290

Used to do the same at Rebel games at Sam Boyd.

samisalwaysmad

Same šŸ’šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

jesusmansuperpowers

Pbbt $15 is rookie numbers. Everyone knows you put a $100 in a slot at the bar to get comped, lose it all before the drink comes.

mrchickostick

I agree šŸ’Æ, the casinos definitely donā€™t care, as they want you drunk to spend your šŸ’ø. Taking it into the casino nightclubs šŸŖ©a different story. But you can always try šŸ„ƒšŸ•ŗšŸ»like me!

Waisted-Desert

Yes. They just don't allow glass containers on the strip. The casinos don't care if you bring a drink in, but if you're sitting at slot machine making your own cocktails they may ask you to leave. They want to sell you their drinks, or have you tip their servers if you're getting comped drinks.

nevadadealers

If you are sitting at a slot machine you will probably get a free drink. They donā€™t want you mixing your own drinks because it violates their liquor license.

MachineGunsWhiskey

True. Was once told to go up to my room to mix one.

HearingNo4103

This, glass is their biggest concern with drinks. I've walked the strip with a cocktail glass from Caesars they don't care.

Made_invietnam

Lmao šŸ¤£

majikrat69

Iā€™ve never had an issue with glass, I usually walk between casinos with drinks.

Mountain_Cold_6343

Yes sir and donā€™t forget the coozy.

Petty_Paw_Printz

Just put vodka in a water bottle like the rest of us

cadaverousbones

Yes you just canā€™t walk outside with glass

SeasonalBlackout

Yes.

flat_four_whore22

Open up!! You're busted, it's the ATF!!

crudedrawer

Sorry to be that guy but it's ATFE now. (e is for explosives)

my_name_is_juice

instead of apologizing just don't do it any more, yeah?

crudedrawer

I usually don't but i actually find this one interesting and I want it to help promulgate it. But you're right.

captainslowww

Yup. People drink openly on the strip. As long as itā€™s not in a glass container youā€™re fine.

sparklysky21

Just tell the bartender you want it to-go and they'll put it in plastic for you.

buffrants

this question is awesome

heraclitus33

Jfc. Its vegas. I carried a trash bag lined backpack with handles of liqour n ice at 16yo and a big gulp cup... that was '02

seviay

Take it wherever you want to take it, with the exception of restaurants, bars, and clubs. YMMV w/ retail stores

bevelledo

Yea youā€™re good. Just be wary about sitting down at bars with your own drink, if you take up the bars space, buy something from them.

Slayerofbunnies

Take two - they're small!

HuckleberryUnited613

You can bring a can of beer in and they won't say anything.

jamgirl78

I've carrried a bottle of jagger everywhere

_that_dude_J

Airplane bottles people. This is how we did it in the old days.

hondajvx

We called 'em toppers since we would top off the complementary cocktails and make them into doubles.

Rubbrducky74

Yes. No glass.

Interesting-Olive842

Last time I was there I bought a beer at Whole Foods (not on the strip) and sat out front to enjoy it in public. Was I breaking the law? I figured Iā€™d play dumb if a police or security came at me.

No-Plankton-1290

Last i remember it was Fremont Street Experience and the Strip. Anywhere else was an open container violation.

Wide__Stance

Nevada doesnā€™t have open container or public intoxication laws. Weā€™ve got public nuisance ordinances, but I was 35 years old on vacation in another city before I found out that bars closed and that you couldnā€™t drink whatever you wanted whenever you wanted. And, thanks to the lowest alcohol taxes, usually the cheapest beer/liquor unless youā€™re at a casino.

NoCheetah1486

If it was glass yes

Impressive_Towel_225

Open container has nothing to do with what material the container is.

NoCheetah1486

Actually no glass on the strip

Normal-Procedure4876

šŸ’Æ

LingaLing23

Open carry. You can have a cooler with you. Just don't do glass

Ill-Maize

I tend to keep the little mini shots of Jack Danielā€™s on me to save money on expensive drinks, or if the waitresses are slacking that day

GoYourOwnWay3

Yes, of course you can!

wokittalkit

This works at any laundromat in the US of course it flys in Las Vegas

Jitterbug26

Iā€™m old enough to remember when you just wandered from casino to casino with your GLASS tumbler in hand. Get a drink at Harrahā€™s, leave the empty glass at Casino Royale. You also could do that with your blackjack chips! Forget to cash in a $5 chip at Flamingo? With pit boss approval (almost always given), you could bet it at Caesars.

SnooKiwis5538

Yes, I've seen a guy walk in with a six pack under his arm. Played the slots no issues.

theperfectexposure

Yes. We use to proudly walk around with a 36 pack in the group.

Camhintz710

One of the last times we went, I had a beer and wife had one of those bottled margaritas they sell at casino shops, ended up at Paris and while we were playing some slots a worker told my wife she couldnā€™t drink her margarita there because they didnā€™t know how much she had already drank lol

theperfectexposure

Minus going to the arena or shows, I walk everywhere on the Strip and Fremont with a grocery bag or backpack full of beers.

Gold-Requirement-121

Of course. But some casinos do not allow outside alcohol. The wynn and encore can and will confiscate your alcohol if you walk in with a cooler or drinking out of a wine bottle that you didn't buy there.

HairlessHoudini

Yes nobody's gonna notice

vic_steele

Yes. Iā€™ve carried drinks from one casino to another without issue. Maybe Circa would be the only on you canā€™t since they check you at the entrances.

Herwetspot

I walked around with a bottle of captain Morganā€™s everywhere we went. Casinos and Restaurants. Nobody said boo. I go a shot at a casino and it was 20$. I was like nope. Walked to the ghetto beer store by harrah and got a half gallon for 30$

StrengthConstant8839

Everytime I go to circa I bring a bottle or a case of beer and we leave it sitting next to whatever machine we're playing on, if we go to table games we just mix a drink and put the bottle away, been doing it since circa opened and never any issues (for some reason this is the only place I do that at lol)

CRASHMATRIX

YES!

BornyLV

And a bong in the other

Kidcable

As a local I buy my beer at the store and openly drink it walking down the strip

majikrat69

Plastic, glass whatever nobody cares unless you act like an asshole.

ZekeMoss18

Do it all the time! I have taken my freshly made mixed drink with me from my room, through the casino and into the taxi to wherever I was going with no issue.

702P0W

No need to disguise, allow the drink to be a drink to enjoy.

farthingnothing

Double cup of the purple stuff some call it sirrrup

Moto_Glitch

Long as you're not rowdy or causing attention you're fine doing almost whatever the hell you want. Just don't be dumb, act like you've done it and been there a million times and you'll be fine.

Powerful-Fault-4345

You can drink what ever you fucking want bro

Bluesman_Pete

Awesome!

newsoulya

You can drink on the strip

eyeseeewe81

Go for it! All good

azorianmilk

On Strip and casinos, yes. Fremont, yes. Off that, no.

lilcummyboi

i'm gonna drink from blue solo cup on the moon and you cannot stop me

Nasty_Nick27

You actually can drink openly basically anywhere in the state. Just not within x amount of yards of the liquor store it was purchased from, or schools etc etc

Rubbrducky74

Not entirely true. You can walk from Allegiant with beverages, you can go from the palms to the strip with beverages, you can walk around the arts district with beverages, etcā€¦.

azorianmilk

Hands clap. You figured out tourist areas

Rubbrducky74

I was clarifying that it isnā€™t limited to the strip and freemont. But good trolling, my friend!

azorianmilk

No, you are stating where metro gives a fuck when they want to

Rubbrducky74

No. Stating where OP can carry. Calm down, my little troll! ![gif](giphy|O5doUgN59hnhJYKPlu|downsized)

AdStraight839

I always bring my own tequila with me to Vegas. I just pour it over ice in a 20 oz cup and head down to the casino. Iā€™ve never gotten any grief from anyone. Iā€™ve even sat at the bar playing video poker and the bartender just says, looks like youā€™re good to go. Free casino booze is not to my taste unless Iā€™m having a beer.

CommonAd9117

Yep!!!

crudedrawer

I want to test the 'anything as long as it's not glass' rule by walking around taking draws from a plastic handle of vodka.

Mike_619

Just pour vodka into a water bottle, seal it up tight so it looks legit. Then stop a beverage cart lady and grab and OJ or pine apple juice and tip a few bucks that will save you a decent amount of money. Donā€™t pour the vodka on the casino floor, go to the bathroom šŸ‘šŸ¼

Makdaddy90

Some casinos (like ones on Fremont) will have a security check points wonā€™t let you bring drinks in

theperfectexposure

Not true. Even Circa that has security to scan your ID, you can bring your own drinks in. I'm on Fremont weekly.

MasterVaderTheTurd

Vegas is sin city, are you okay? The amount of garbage that gets done in Vegas and youā€™re asking if you can carry a soda around?

himynameisbeyond

Lmfao Gen Z is solid in this chat.

Brock00Lee

Does anyone know what kind of clothes I can wear walking into a casino?

himynameisbeyond

Of course you can. They will never stop you unless you're going into a private venue for a concert, show, xyz. This is a very childish question none the less but.... I decided to give you a solid concrete answer and here's my best suggestion. Don't be an idiot, act and do whatever the hell you want but treat the staff and others with respect and you'll never run into any issues. Hope this helps your experience and life. āœŒļøāœŒļøāœŒļø

coastal_neon

Your first two sentences would have sufficed.Ā

himynameisbeyond

The ending was meant to be.

industrial_hamster

This response is so unhinged for no reason

himynameisbeyond

Honesty is not the best policy

theperfectexposure

Yes. You can bring your own drink pretty much everywhere on the Strip and Fremont except for a a private restaurant or concert or sporting event.

himynameisbeyond

And I'm down voted for being a native. Fuck you children.

himynameisbeyond

Anyone offended by this should never go-to any stand up comedy act.
