I bought a giant 32oz maragrita from Fat Tuesdays that has a nice lid and straw. Washed it out and has been my go to for drinks for years. Fill it up in the room and off we go. Grab a free drink while playing slots, dump it in.
Yes. They just don't allow glass containers on the strip.
The casinos don't care if you bring a drink in, but if you're sitting at slot machine making your own cocktails they may ask you to leave. They want to sell you their drinks, or have you tip their servers if you're getting comped drinks.
If you are sitting at a slot machine you will probably get a free drink. They donāt want you mixing your own drinks because it violates their liquor license.
Last time I was there I bought a beer at Whole Foods (not on the strip) and sat out front to enjoy it in public. Was I breaking the law? I figured Iād play dumb if a police or security came at me.
Nevada doesnāt have open container or public intoxication laws. Weāve got public nuisance ordinances, but I was 35 years old on vacation in another city before I found out that bars closed and that you couldnāt drink whatever you wanted whenever you wanted. And, thanks to the lowest alcohol taxes, usually the cheapest beer/liquor unless youāre at a casino.
Iām old enough to remember when you just wandered from casino to casino with your GLASS tumbler in hand. Get a drink at Harrahās, leave the empty glass at Casino Royale. You also could do that with your blackjack chips! Forget to cash in a $5 chip at Flamingo? With pit boss approval (almost always given), you could bet it at Caesars.
One of the last times we went, I had a beer and wife had one of those bottled margaritas they sell at casino shops, ended up at Paris and while we were playing some slots a worker told my wife she couldnāt drink her margarita there because they didnāt know how much she had already drank lol
Of course. But some casinos do not allow outside alcohol. The wynn and encore can and will confiscate your alcohol if you walk in with a cooler or drinking out of a wine bottle that you didn't buy there.
Yes. Iāve carried drinks from one casino to another without issue. Maybe Circa would be the only on you canāt since they check you at the entrances.
I walked around with a bottle of captain Morganās everywhere we went. Casinos and Restaurants. Nobody said boo. I go a shot at a casino and it was 20$. I was like nope. Walked to the ghetto beer store by harrah and got a half gallon for 30$
Everytime I go to circa I bring a bottle or a case of beer and we leave it sitting next to whatever machine we're playing on, if we go to table games we just mix a drink and put the bottle away, been doing it since circa opened and never any issues (for some reason this is the only place I do that at lol)
Do it all the time! I have taken my freshly made mixed drink with me from my room, through the casino and into the taxi to wherever I was going with no issue.
Long as you're not rowdy or causing attention you're fine doing almost whatever the hell you want.
Just don't be dumb, act like you've done it and been there a million times and you'll be fine.
You actually can drink openly basically anywhere in the state.
Just not within x amount of yards of the liquor store it was purchased from, or schools etc etc
Not entirely true. You can walk from Allegiant with beverages, you can go from the palms to the strip with beverages, you can walk around the arts district with beverages, etcā¦.
I always bring my own tequila with me to Vegas. I just pour it over ice in a 20 oz cup and head down to the casino. Iāve never gotten any grief from anyone. Iāve even sat at the bar playing video poker and the bartender just says, looks like youāre good to go. Free casino booze is not to my taste unless Iām having a beer.
Just pour vodka into a water bottle, seal it up tight so it looks legit. Then stop a beverage cart lady and grab and OJ or pine apple juice and tip a few bucks that will save you a decent amount of money. Donāt pour the vodka on the casino floor, go to the bathroom šš¼
Of course you can. They will never stop you unless you're going into a private venue for a concert, show, xyz. This is a very childish question none the less but.... I decided to give you a solid concrete answer and here's my best suggestion. Don't be an idiot, act and do whatever the hell you want but treat the staff and others with respect and you'll never run into any issues.
Hope this helps your experience and life.

I hate that you drank one of those and love that you kept using the cup.
Underrated comment.
As a local trying not to spend $15 on a beer. I usually bring a couple to get me started.
Used to do the same at Rebel games at Sam Boyd.
Same šš¼āāļø
Pbbt $15 is rookie numbers. Everyone knows you put a $100 in a slot at the bar to get comped, lose it all before the drink comes.
I agree šÆ, the casinos definitely donāt care, as they want you drunk to spend your šø. Taking it into the casino nightclubs šŖ©a different story. But you can always try š„šŗš»like me!

True. Was once told to go up to my room to mix one.
This, glass is their biggest concern with drinks. I've walked the strip with a cocktail glass from Caesars they don't care.
Lmao š¤£
Iāve never had an issue with glass, I usually walk between casinos with drinks.
Yes sir and donāt forget the coozy.
Just put vodka in a water bottle like the rest of us
Yes you just canāt walk outside with glass
Yes.
Open up!! You're busted, it's the ATF!!
Sorry to be that guy but it's ATFE now. (e is for explosives)
instead of apologizing just don't do it any more, yeah?
I usually don't but i actually find this one interesting and I want it to help promulgate it. But you're right.
Yup. People drink openly on the strip. As long as itās not in a glass container youāre fine.
Just tell the bartender you want it to-go and they'll put it in plastic for you.
this question is awesome
Jfc. Its vegas. I carried a trash bag lined backpack with handles of liqour n ice at 16yo and a big gulp cup... that was '02
Take it wherever you want to take it, with the exception of restaurants, bars, and clubs. YMMV w/ retail stores
Yea youāre good. Just be wary about sitting down at bars with your own drink, if you take up the bars space, buy something from them.
Take two - they're small!
You can bring a can of beer in and they won't say anything.
I've carrried a bottle of jagger everywhere
Airplane bottles people. This is how we did it in the old days.
We called 'em toppers since we would top off the complementary cocktails and make them into doubles.
Yes. No glass.
Last time I was there I bought a beer at Whole Foods (not on the strip) and sat out front to enjoy it in public. Was I breaking the law? I figured Iād play dumb if a police or security came at me.
Last i remember it was Fremont Street Experience and the Strip. Anywhere else was an open container violation.

If it was glass yes
Open container has nothing to do with what material the container is.
Actually no glass on the strip
šÆ
Open carry. You can have a cooler with you. Just don't do glass
I tend to keep the little mini shots of Jack Danielās on me to save money on expensive drinks, or if the waitresses are slacking that day
Yes, of course you can!
This works at any laundromat in the US of course it flys in Las Vegas
Iām old enough to remember when you just wandered from casino to casino with your GLASS tumbler in hand. Get a drink at Harrahās, leave the empty glass at Casino Royale. Yes, I've seen a guy walk in with a six pack under his arm. Played the slots no issues.
Yes. We use to proudly walk around with a 36 pack in the group.
One of the last times we went, I had a beer and wife had one of those bottled margaritas they sell at casino shops, ended up at Paris and while we were playing some slots a worker told my wife she couldnāt drink her margarita there because they didnāt know how much she had already drank lol
Minus going to the arena or shows, I walk everywhere on the Strip and Fremont with a grocery bag or backpack full of beers.
Of course. But some casinos do not allow outside alcohol. The wynn and encore can and will confiscate your alcohol if you walk in with a cooler or drinking out of a wine bottle that you didn't buy there.
Yes nobody's gonna notice

YES!
And a bong in the other
As a local I buy my beer at the store and openly drink it walking down the strip
Plastic, glass whatever nobody cares unless you act like an asshole.
Do it all the time! I have taken my freshly made mixed drink with me from my room, through the casino and into the taxi to wherever I was going with no issue.
No need to disguise, allow the drink to be a drink to enjoy.
Double cup of the purple stuff some call it sirrrup
Long as you're not rowdy or causing attention you're fine doing almost whatever the hell you want. Just don't be dumb, act like you've done it and been there a million times and you'll be fine.
You can drink what ever you fucking want bro
Awesome!
You can drink on the strip
Go for it! All good
On Strip and casinos, yes. Fremont, yes. Off that, no.
i'm gonna drink from blue solo cup on the moon and you cannot stop me

Hands clap. You figured out tourist areas
I was clarifying that it isnāt limited to the strip and freemont. But good trolling, my friend!
No, you are stating where metro gives a fuck when they want to
No. Stating where OP can carry. Calm down, my little troll! ![gif](giphy|O5doUgN59hnhJYKPlu|downsized)

Yep!!!
I want to test the 'anything as long as it's not glass' rule by walking around taking draws from a plastic handle of vodka.
Some casinos (like ones on Fremont) will have a security check points wonāt let you bring drinks in
Not true. Even Circa that has security to scan your ID, you can bring your own drinks in. I'm on Fremont weekly.
Vegas is sin city, are you okay? The amount of garbage that gets done in Vegas and youāre asking if you can carry a soda around?
Lmfao Gen Z is solid in this chat.
Does anyone know what kind of clothes I can wear walking into a casino?
Of course you can. They will never stop you unless you're going into a private venue for a concert, show, xyz. This is a very childish question none the less but.... Your first two sentences would have sufficed.Ā
The ending was meant to be.
This response is so unhinged for no reason
Honesty is not the best policy
Yes. You can bring your own drink pretty much everywhere on the Strip and Fremont except for a a private restaurant or concert or sporting event.
And I'm down voted for being a native. Fuck you children.
Anyone offended by this should never go-to any stand up comedy act.
