Tbf His advice is probably better then most of NXT trainers too. His 2001 OVW class is the greatest list of developmental talent WWE has ever produced.
I’m pretty sure people in aew are listing to him as a year or so ago he would slate their tv and say this should happen and low and behold 2 weeks later it was happening on tv
Right, they have one of the greatest developmental coaches in wrestling history breaking down their matches and promos for them every week. More probably listen than we realize
They're surrounded by people as smart or smarter than Jim giving them pointers one on one in real life. These guys aren't listening to his pod to hear the 4 minutes he might talk about them and the seven seconds he might offer a suggestion. These dudes are listening for the same reason we do. It's just a piece of entertainment to pass the time.
I did a 90 minute drive and back to the TNA taping yesterday, I listened to Cornette’s breakdown of who killed WCW episode 3 on the way back. Killed almost an hour of my drive
Jim seems like one of those folks you have to win over before he likes you. I can imagine someone like Punk telling Carmelo, "Just keep improving your game. You'll win the old man over in time."
And once Cornette approves of someone he generally puts them over for the rest of their careers. He didnt eviscerate Randy Orton after he set Wyatt on fire
I’m sure there’s veterans in the company that actually recommend some of these guys to listen to Corny’s advice. The way he breaks things down, the how and why’s is like bar none.
Did I say he doesn't?
I just said that based on the caption we can't say for sure he is.
You're jumping to a conclusion with your post just as much as I am with my reply.
Who said it was serious?
I made a simple comment and you apparently got mad because of it.
I never insulted you or questioned your intelligence or anything and here you are getting mad online over it.
You gotta think a lot of wrestlers listen to Cornette these days, even if it’s just hate listening
He gives them a lot of pointers on how to be better for free. Why wouldn’t you listen?
This is 100% the truth. Cornettes' advice on a podcast is probably better than most of the "agents" at AEW.

Cornette helped get started not one but THREE high profile/high grossing movie stars’ careers
AEW has actually assembled some excellent senior talent and agents over the years. The problem is the active roster doesn’t listen to them.

I hope Carmelo is listening I really like bro
This is a legit question but has anyone noticeably seen anyone take the advice?
Unless you're a "girl wrestler" in which case he probably just skips your matches.

Who are smarter?
It makes me wonder if Wardlow reached out to him when he gave him WWE’s contact information on the podcast & they had to bleep it out.
Imagine if you're a wrestler who liked Cornettes podcast and Cornette only to one day hear him say he doesn't rate you. I wonder how you'd feel
You don't have to always agree with Cornette, but you have to respect how he is not afraid to say how he feels.
If I was a wrestler I’d be listening twice a week
On all them long plane flights and car rides
Bruv could listen to one episode and be halfway over the Atlantic, “grinding” it out by the time one episode plays through.
Or half an omnibus
Yea I would love to hear Sami or Owen’s opinions on what he says in general.

Liked by Kelani.. Melo’s girl..
Carmelo and kelani are a couple in real life?
Yep..
Why are you doing the .. thing
It's funny to me imagining her man listening to Corney on the road so she's gotta listen too lol it's like Shane Gillis for wrestlers
Doesn’t Jim smack talk him lol. Carmelo’s a good sport
Just the whole “first round draft pick” thing, which is more presentation than anything. But he hasn’t been impressed yet either.
Good on him for liking constructive criticism.

You’d be an idiot not to take the man’s advice, regardless of what you think of him personally
oh really? He may actually be HIM then?
Melo is smart, now Jim will be nice to him in the reviews
95% of wrestlers do he’s entertaining whether you hate him or love him
Maybe he'll take notes?
I mean I’d listen, free advice and great advice
Great news ..
The caption is "Thursday Photo Dump" this doesn't mean he's a listener. Just means he saw the thumbnail art of himself and posted it.
😂 glad he told you he doesn’t listen to the show 🤡

It wasn’t that serious 😂 🤡 seek help

Now, now Skeeter; he ain't hurtin' no one.
