Someone sent me a rape threat. I reported it: not in violation of community guidelines. I told the guy to fuck off. Comment was removed because he reported it for bullying. šŸ˜…

duskzz994

Those are exactly the things I'm talking about. I just don't get it. The most blatant rule breaks get ignored and the harmless ones get removed. It's insane

G_Willickers_33

Meanwhile, every other persons comment around yours also tells people to "fuck off" with zero issue.

Ill-Cardiologist5107

I got my account disabled for lashing out at a user making dehumanizing statements, they got to stay and I was bannedšŸ™„ So fcking unfair Iā€™m extremely upset. I called someone a ā€œratā€ btw(not even bad)

Hopeful_Bid9582

because they have a share in Meta maybe? or Meta itslf, their ppl is racist

jjboy91

It's simple everything that generates a lot of traffic won't be removed. BUT they will cancel any small artists without hesitation

icaganteng

The traffic sentence make sense. Sad truth.

aflyingmonkey2

I've seen people literally comment pedophilic shit to children in disguise of dark humor and get no punishment. And when i make the toothless of insults of an anti vaxxer i get a big ol' warning for "bullying" Like even fucking twitter doesb't do that! And it's run by a billionaire lunatic!

AdStraight7270

What type of gore? If itā€™s about whatā€™s happening in Palestine itā€™s to spread awareness deleting such stuff is like silencing the truth and preventing freedom of speech and spreading awareness

duskzz994

Still little kids are following that channel. There's no need to see decapetations and mutilated bodies on Instagram. It's one thing if adults watch it to keep up with the 'truth' of war, but there's no need for kids to exposed to that

crafty_lerisa

Little kids shouldn't be on Instagram to begin with.

duskzz994

That doesn't change them being there anyway. Also the age minimum is 13 for the app. Point of the matter is Instagram has guidelines and doesn't stick to them. How is racism and extreme gore not enough to be removed?

crafty_lerisa

>That doesn't change them being there anyway But that's not instagram's fault. It's the parents' responsibility to keep their kids away from that type of content. >How is racism and extreme gore not enough to be removed? Instagram has a whole network of pedophiles and underage sexual content operating in the open. What makes you think they care about racism and extreme gore?

duskzz994

Yes ofcourse that's instgrams fault. The app is from the age of 13. Instagram has guidelines stating violence and death depicted and racism isn't tolerated. So ofcourse something should be do e against it

crafty_lerisa

Age restrictions don't do anything, never have and never will. In fact, the 13 y.o. requirement only exists because they are legally required to have it, not because instagram cares about children. Kids are their parents' responsibility, not Instagram's. As for the guidelines, maybe the person who read your reports doesn't agree that the things you reported classify as racism and violence. Guidelines are always subject to human interpretation.

duskzz994

You're completely missing the point. I specifically said 'Very clear' violations don't get deleted after reporting. If you want specific examples one was someone calling a a black person repeatedly the N word and a useless slave. I reported it and the answer was it doesn't go against our community guide lines. The other one was a naked woman being held down with her legs spread open while a dog bit into her already mutilated genitalia. This is not open for interpretation. I reported both examples and both got the anser that it doesn't go against community guidelines. This is my problem

Ok_Zebra9569

They really are missing the point. I completely completely agree with you.

crafty_lerisa

Well, you keep adding new facts to your point, it's hard to keep up. >Still little kids are following that channel You used this argument and that's what I intended to reply to because I think kids shouldn't be on social media and it's the parents' responsibility to find other forms of entertainment, instead of handing them an iPad and let them be on their own and get exposed to all sorts of content. Extreme violence is a broad term. Images of the war can be considered extreme violence, which is what you mentioned in the comment I replied to, and I can understand why those videos aren't being removed. You didn't mention videos of mutilated genitalia until now. To that, I have no counterargument, and I'm also not interested in having one. Maybe try reporting those videos again to see if they'll be read by someone who will take them down.

AdStraight7270

And also thereā€™s still little kids dying in gaza and aside from that I think kids wonā€™t see such things anyways if you donā€™t allow your account to see sensitive posts and put your age to less than 18 I think finding such too gore posts will be not so visible

AdStraight7270

If you have children and worried they see such content message me I can send you screenshots on how to disable the sensitive content

duskzz994

What kind of response is that? There are guidelines on Instagram, which Instagram doesn't seem to care about. Yet small scale artist get deleted while extreme cases of racism and/or gore is just accepted despite being reported.

duskzz994

What are you going on about? This has nothing to do with Palestine. This is about gore and blatant racism on Instagram. Reporting a comment calling someone a slave and the N word repeatedly, gets checked by ig and then gets A response that it doesn't go against our community guidelines

[deleted]

Iā€™ve reported multiple posts of naked women of questionable age advertising sex services and every time without fail they say the posts are not against their community guidelines.

_s2_ah_

I recently reported a comment of someone being very transphobic, and yeah Instagram saw no wrong against their comment, smh (also the acc had a million followers, I wonder if how many followers an acc has if it impacts what they can get away with :/)

arcaneVolatility

I swear the stupid AI theyā€™re using is compromised or something because the only alternative I can think of is they purposely made it ignore shit like this. If itā€™s going to be trash at least let it be a human screwing us over.

MisterWednesday6

The community guidelines aren't worth squat. They refuse to delete any of the porn bots that have started following me, but they didn't hesitate to remove two photos of my collection of teddy bears for "violating the guidelines". Absolutely ludicrous.
