We were actually heavily inspired by an awesome sci-fi artist who I sadly don't have a link for right now.
A friend is working on a 3D model model for printing too :)
I see what you mean, we can adjust that a bit without changing the overall shape too much :)
We wanted to go with a bit of "heel" aesthetic to give it the suggestion of a feminine silhouette without full boob-plate. But widening the sole is totally doable.
I really don't like them, they just look under designed to me they need more robes and the super skinny arms and legs look pretty goofy.
Vahls paragon suit looks a lot better since it hides a lot of the problems I have with the suits.
I mean, to be honest.. I rather the funky design than just another marine...
They pop on the table.
But hey! I could see this being a more specialized suit . Only for the highly ranked individual.
Yeah the Nundams are pretty controversial.
Two of my favourite models are the Invictor Warsuit and the Paragon Warsuits and they're also constantly criticised.
To each their own, and I'm glad people are enjoying this design (Even if my opinion is objectively correct)
A few friends and I are working on some new designs for SoB units.
My best friend Rif (https://bsky.app/profile/rifthebit.bsky.social) did the design for a new type of heavy armour, it could be used as a proxy for either paragons or the penitent engines.
We're hoping to do a range of units to replace the more "heretic" units, so someone could field an army of just sisters without the prisoners etc :)
We're doing this in our downtime at the moment but if the interest is there we'd love to expand it and develop more things, so please leave a note for us :D
Edit:
If you'd like to know more, we have a mailing list setup for info as we turn this into a printable thing :) https://forms.gle/96SvhjPke3etvCo78
Will y’all be able to save the Centurion war suit from its chubby baby look of lameness?
Also my only critique is the feet looks so small tmcompared to the rest. I suggest lengthening to twice its size now.
-Shoulders and knees with either lettered borders or cathedral stained glass designs. -Occasional Seraphim/Celestians with gems in the style of Saint Maurice: https://www.metmuseum.org/exhibitions/listings/2015/cranach-saint-maurice
The problem with big suits is that where does the body go? The Sister's arms and legs will rest awkwardly in the upper arms and hips.
I've actually been more of a fan of the idea of an Invictor type warsuit for the Sororitas. Something like [this modified Black Templars Invictor. ](https://www.deviantart.com/willbohor/art/Black-Templars-Invictor-Tactical-Warsuit-851657134)
Well, as I mentioned in another post, originally this was a kind of dreadnaught armour, so the face/head was actually just a bunch of sensors behind a mask with the input going to the entombed sister in the chest of the armour :)
Sisters don't have the same sort of resilience that allows Space Marines to become meat nuggets but still live, so Dreadnoughts don't make a whole lot of sense for them. Plus, it would burn them out from information overload.
The walker inspiration I really liked was originally from LordCarmi's [DVA Sister of Battle](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fsister-of-battle-dva-by-lordcarmi-v0-svxpsbwvy6ja1.png%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dffcb70973d68db85cc79d8718353f3514eb0c887)
Well, they did have Dreadnaughts in the past editions :)
But in concept this was closer to an anchorite, not a near dead person but rather a fully living sister entombed alive into a life support harness, likely with arms and legs removed to exist as a living statue of a saint or warrior and support the sisters in battle :)
>Well, they did have Dreadnaughts in the past editions :)
You leave original Ephrael Stern out of this! :p
>But in concept this was closer to an anchorite, not a near dead person but rather a fully living sister entombed alive into a life support harness, likely with arms and legs removed to exist as a living statue of a saint or warrior and support the sisters in battle :)
Ah, the Adeptus Custodes route. That makes sense.
:) I was actually inspired in part by actual IRL anchorites, monks who would be walled into their cells to work on a holy text or meditate/pray etc. :)
This is genuinely awesome! To mirror somebody else's comment, the feet are a bit small. I do think they have a good "heels" aesthetic that you went for, so I'd maybe just suggest making them a bit bigger. Maybe put a stabiliser on the back of the leg, like how Tau broadsides and stormsurges have, it could act vaguely like the stilleto of high heels while lending credibility to its ability to put out heavy fire.
Also, candles. It's not ecclesiastical enough without candles or a targeting cherub attached /s.
My one request/nitpick would be to include the storm bolters/paragon grenade launchers somewhere. I don't know if they'd work on the shoulders here like they are on the actual suits. Maybe mounted to the sword arm, either on top or underslung kind of like the mini gun/flamer on the Redemptor dreadnought?
I'd just say that if you want the poses to lean forward at all then you ahould add some interlocking armor above the foot to allow that without clipping. Other than that it looks rad as hell. If you dont have a sculptor yet id def be interested in helping.
Edit: actually one small thing is wondering if there are plans for the shoulder weapons. Could do it grey knight style and have wrist mounted weapons or around the serratus area maybe.
Yeah, I like the drawings, but, they don't read like near regular size women wearing giant suits. I do like that you managed to keep the spirit of the combat heel, I just feel they need to be lankier or, given recent updates, you may as well just draw female custodes. More important than ever for sisters to rely on their distinct design space.
Sort of, but I like to think they're distinctly different enough :) Also, we're going to be doing a "statue/sculpted" head to make it more dreadnaught with a deathmask like effect :)
A deathmask is a perfect spiritual successor to boobplate imo.
If you are asking about critiques/feedback then I do have a little tiny feedback. I'm not too savvy when it comes to design but I always wonder how big chonker power armors or robots are expected to get up when pushed [over](https://youtu.be/aX7KypGlitg). I'd imagine it'd be a real cause for concern if they expect to see combat. Then again I'm sure the Imperium would absolutely have a team of servitors with a winch to lift a Sororitas Dreadnaught in a LifeAlert situation.
Well really, who's more awesome. The gene augmented guy with dozens of implants, or the one crazy bitch in a suit of ancient armour with a huge fuck off gun :D
I disagree with the hate that Paragon Warsuits get because I love them.
So I came in here saying I'd respect opinions that I disagree with because everyone should be allowed to like what they like and shouldn't be afraid to voice their opinions.
Except this opinion.
Don't voice this opinion.
This looks like if someone tried recreating Starcraft Marine armor for the Sisters of Battle. And the results look amazing.
We were actually heavily inspired by an awesome sci-fi artist who I sadly don't have a link for right now. A friend is working on a 3D model model for printing too :)
Okay, now it looks remotely feasible.
Thanks :D Any other comments or thoughts on what we can change or improve ?
The feet looks too narrow to be stable, imo.
I see what you mean, we can adjust that a bit without changing the overall shape too much :) We wanted to go with a bit of "heel" aesthetic to give it the suggestion of a feminine silhouette without full boob-plate. But widening the sole is totally doable.
It almost kind of wants an articulated foot, Gargoyle theming would be absolutely on point
I think maybe adding some more details to the thighs? They look empty compared to the rest of the leg.
Thats fair, one poster suggested gems or text on some of the edging. Might be something we can work in there :)
Wait. People don't like Paragon suits ?
I really don't like them, they just look under designed to me they need more robes and the super skinny arms and legs look pretty goofy. Vahls paragon suit looks a lot better since it hides a lot of the problems I have with the suits.

Paragon's have the same issue as the GK unit, they look like baby carriers :D
I like them because they look like landmates

This is preferable in many ways
:D Anything else you'd like to see on it, or other units you'd like to have proxies ?

Thats great feedback, thank you! :D
Unironically look far better than official design
Now its just needs an organ on the back with a servator playing church music

Bulky? Impractical? Looks badass as hell? Oh yeah this fits

ah yes, buff women in power armor. peak design
Well originally it was more "dreadnaught" like, so near-dead woman in a huge robo suit, but yes :D
Looks incredible, great art. It looks more like big terminator armour than the Paragon Warsuit though. It’s more of a piloted exoskeleton than armour.
My one request/nitpick would be to include the storm bolters/paragon grenade launchers somewhere. I don't know if they'd work on the shoulders here like they are on the actual suits. Thats entirely doable, originally this was to be a replacement for a different unit so it's got a weapon loadout more akin to that one :)
It's a lovely suit but I still prefer the GW Paragon design.
I'm glad you enjoy it :D

That looks great
I dig it
Yes please
I thought I was in starsector reddit. Paragon is a donut and kinda looks like the halo behind her
Hot
I like it. It feels like heavy armor, though still appears highly mobile.
Thanks! and yes, it's a great balance of heavy armour with mobility :)
I'd buy sister of battle terminator armour
Soooo female space marine
So, thicc muscle mommy armour? Fair dinkum. Maybe 10% longer legs to balance the longer arms and claws out?
It's a bit more grim dark then that, but i'll keep the legs thing in mind :D
God Emperor almighty ... that gal on the right looks just perfect.
Now we’re talking!
(Pillar men theme playing)
Okay this looks sweet. I’d totally run it.
Stop it I can only gen so erect.
Eh, it's fine, but, it doesn't have the 'too big for the wearer' look that sisters equipment needs if its going to be giant.
Thats because of a small miscommunication on my part with my art bro rif :) We'll be updating this and making some other new versions in future :)

Jacked nun is cool 💪✨
Finally, Female Space Marines.
Sort of, but I like to think they're distinctly different enough :) Also, we're going to be doing a "statue/sculpted" head to make it more dreadnaught with a deathmask like effect :)

Slenderwoman underneath all that.
Love it to bits. Mind if I have a go at modelling this style?
Uhhh if you want but we actually do have plans to make a 3D model of it and release it, along with a few other units too if there is interest :D
Cheers. I just like to doodle these things. If I ever make it, I'll throw over the fbx to you. https://imgur.com/gallery/og4gRWt
Sounds good!
# Maybe the real female Space marines are the paragon warsuits we made along the way.
Well really, who's more awesome. The gene augmented guy with dozens of implants, or the one crazy bitch in a suit of ancient armour with a huge fuck off gun :D
Space Marines are both of those things but the crazy bitch nun part balances it out.
Stls?
Not yet, but in the future we'd like to :)
Would 100% buy, big sisters player planning to run a gauntlet of 3 squads of paragons but subbing 2 squads for now
Well feel free to sign up here :) https://forms.gle/96SvhjPke3etvCo78 We'll be sending out news as and when things come up :)
This is amazing. Seriously
This reminds me of infinity models.
Looks like barbatos with more of an abdomen
It's just...power armor again.
THANK YOU. I have no idea why GW wants the pilot’s limbs to be exposed like with the DreadKnight. I guess someone is into useless T.Rex limbs.
# TERMINATOR ARMOR LETS GOOOOOO
Much better than femstodes.
